Chapter 15 - Terminator before reincarnation

My stomach started growling from hunger, so I went downstairs to get some food — only to find hell sitting right in my living room. I tried to sneak away before she saw me, but unfortunately, I got caught. I was tiptoeing when she suddenly pinched my ear between her fingers like a claw and yanked, dragging me along as I stumbled behind her like a guilty little prisoner. She scolded me for not taking good care of Wen Zhin while everyone else watched from the sidelines, laughing their heads off. After all, Wen Zhin was Aunt Ling Su's son — her friend since they were kids — so all that was expected.

It was lunchtime. Wen Qin invited Wenyi Lu and that bastard Lao Zhan over. Just hearing his name was enough to make me want to kill him, but since he was Wen Qin's son, I couldn't. We had lunch and reminisced about the times when my parents were still alive. Of course, that prideful jerk left as soon as we finished eating.

Later, Lu Lu, Zha Zha, and I went to a club called Off-Limit to party. We were playing spin the bottle when Lu Lu called Lao Zhan and his friends over to join us.

I so wished I could slap some sense into that empty head of hers. She knew I hated his guts, but she still invited him over. What was worse — he accepted the invite, knowing full well I despised him.

We continued the game, and I got punished so many times because I refused to do the assigned tasks with Lao Zhan. I was so drunk I couldn't take it anymore, so I finally gave in. I had to "play house" with Lao Zhan for a month — meaning I had to move in with him and stay together for a whole month.

That was the craziest idea Lu Lu had ever come up with. I even laughed at her because I thought she'd finally lost it.

"NO!!!" I said before she could even breathe another word.

On the other hand, that jerk Lao Zhan thought it was a great idea because I'd be living in his house — meaning I'd be under his control.

Who? Me? Under whose control? Oh hell no! That wasn't happening. Or was it?

[Oh lord, help me.]

That satan wasn't letting this go. She bugged me until I gave in. I hate it whenever she's in her shipping mode. She gets crazier than usual.

We all called it a day and went home to rest, but I had some packing to do.

The next morning, I came downstairs dragging two suitcases.

"Are we going somewhere?" he asked, looking confused. Zha Zha never mentioned anything about a business trip.

"No! We're not going anywhere. Yes, I'm going somewhere. I'm moving in with that jerk Lao Zhan," I said, annoyed, throwing the suitcases on the floor.

"HAHAHAHA! Wait, you're serious?" he asked in disbelief, his smile slowly fading.

"That crazy lunatic made me play house with him for a month — meaning I have to move in with him," I said, annoyed that I was the one doing the moving. Even worse, I was moving into his house.

"Who? Lu Lu? Hahaha! Damn, and here I thought we no longer needed to take her to the nut house. Don't worry, I'll let the morgue know to expect a special corpse any day now," he said, laughing his head off.

Just by looking at his face, you could tell he was enjoying this.

"What's that supposed to mean? Do you think I can't handle a jerk like him without putting a bullet in that empty skull of his?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Oh, come on! We all know you'd have killed him long ago if he wasn't Aunt Qin's son," he said with a crooked grin, folding his arms.

"Oh, okay! Now I see. So you think I can't deal with jerkasses like him without killing them? You'll see — I'm going to prove you wrong. I don't need to get my hands dirty just to deal with dumbasses like him," I said, picking up my suitcases and dragging them to the car.

[He thinks I can't deal with people without killing? Does he think I'm the Terminator before reincarnation? Argh! This pisses me off.]

I thought as I left for Lao Zhan's house.
