Chapter 7 - The confession

I returned with the Leader of the Hexagonal's head in my hand, blood dripping down my arm. Everyone present was shocked and scared; they assumed all the rumors about me being heartless and cruel were a lie because I had an innocent face that could make a person let their guard down. But reality hit them so hard they all changed their attitude towards me — except Sunah and Zha Zha, because they had known the true me from the get-go.

I ordered all members to go rest, then I took Jin to the hospital alongside Zha Zha and Sunah. The hospital belonged to me, so we didn't have to do all the formalities done when a person is admitted. Jin was rushed to the OR, but Sunah refused to go back because he felt guilty for what happened.

Jin came out of surgery and was stable, but the first 24 hours were crucial. We all went in to check how he was doing, then suddenly the machines started beeping — his heart rate and blood pressure were dropping very fast. We were told to wait outside as they tried to save him. Sunah was so afraid that he even broke into tears. This was my first time seeing him like this, and it pained me because all I could do was hug him so that he could calm down.

But I guess what he was going through couldn't be coaxed by a hug.

This couldn't be because of guilt, there's something going on with Sunah. Something that holds too much value to him and is related to Jin because he would never cry like this just because Jin took a bullet for him.

My thoughts were disturbed when the doctor came out of the ward. From the expression he had on his face, I could tell it was bad news, but before I could get a chance to ask, Sunah ran toward the doctor and started asking about Jin's condition.

"I'm sorry to say this but we couldn't save him. Please pa—" Before he could finish what he wanted to say, Sunah had run into the room. Seeing him just lying there without any sign of breathing, he burst into tears. He walked towards his bed, waking him up, but nothing worked.

The nurses tried to get him away from the body, but I told them to let him go. That's when I knew Jin didn't have a one-sided love with him — he also loved him but didn't have the guts to tell him.

"Jin! Jin! Wake up please. I promise that starting tonight I'll listen to whatever you say, I'll never talk back again, so please wake up. When you confessed your love to me, you said you would wait until the day I fell in love. Tonight is that day, please wake up for me. I love you." He said with tears flowing down his face as he buried his face on his chest.

(BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!)

"If you keep soaking my clothes wet like that, I'm gonna have you watch them by hands," he said looking at the person who was burying his face on his chest.

What the hell? He really came back from the dead after he confessed. Holy sht! Is this really happening? I thought such things only happen in dramas. Wait! Wait! Wait! My theory was correct, my Sunah really had feelings for him. I think I'll stay two more days.*

And again, my thoughts were disturbed by Zha Zha.

"Snap out of it, whatever you're planning is not gonna happen," she said giving me the I know what you're thinking look.

"But I wasn't thinking anything foolish. I felt like we should extend our visit for two more days since someone got hurt. I feel bad letting Sunah take care of him alone," I said, trying to get her to agree — and fortunately enough, she did.

We extended our stay by two days which we spent helping Sunah take care of his hubby.

That's right, they started dating immediately after the crucial 24 hours were over, and I was a volunteer third wheel. The two days were over in the blink of an eye. I didn't want to leave because it's not every day that fantasy becomes reality. But of course, my heartless PA had to drag me to the airport.

"I swear to God, when we get home, I'm firing your ass," I said with an annoyed face, and of course she didn't take me seriously since this was the 70th time I threatened to fire her but never did.

"We will be landing in about 2 hours 5 minutes, so you should take some rest because there is a lot of work waiting for us where we are going."

This motherf**ker! I'm gonna make her an errand girl for the whole month, then we'll see who's the boss then.

I stood up, looked at her with a side eye, then left for my room.

"If you ever dare to make me an errand girl for a month, I'll make your schedule so full that you don't get time to eat," she said, smiling at me.

I was so done with her. How the hell did she even know what I was thinking? It's like I had no privacy anywhere, including in my brain. This is why she's a disadvantage and an advantage to me but mostly the reason why we are besties.
