Drey's pov;
While the two were busy trying to cure Xandra, I took it upon myself to follow up with our plans and make new ones where necessary.
I planned to look into it when I heard from Max, Shawn that Kyle is following Xandra with the name Alex. I wanted to know his objective. So, I sent men to look into it.
I found out that they met at a designer shop where Xandra went job hunting. But I still couldn't figure out the exact reason he's sent to her side. Is it really because the Don don't believe I died.
So he wants to use Xandra as hostage if I were to show up. And as it is now, Xandra trust him,a lot. I wonder how she'll feel when she finds out who he really is.
In the meantime, I drew up plans and took care of the little things while waiting for the duo in the lab.

It's being two weeks now. They still haven't being able to get the cure right. I felt bad and wanted to take Shawn's place but they wouldn't let.
So I helped out in little way I can. I administer Xandra's drip and daily shots. That's saved them a lot of time and made them focus solely on making the cure.

Jade's pov;
" I've finished brewing this". I said to Shawn but he didn't even respond. He must be really exhausted. I felt bad for him.
" Want to take a break?". I offered.
" Nevermind. Didn't you say a minute can decide whether or not she lives".
" You sure you don't want to take a break?".
" I can't afford to. I'm not very exhausted too. I'm quite dogged".
" Sure then. Bring a rabbit. Bring from the batch that was brought in yesterday. They have just being sterilized and are more healthy".
" Un".
We held our breath waiting for reaction from the test but there was nothing. Instead of dying or becoming immobile as always, it became more active and energized.
It's as though it drank an energy booster. I was happy with the change.
" What just happened?". Shawn asked feeling rejuvenated.
" I think it passed the first test stage". I replied.
" What do you mean first test? There's still more tests. What happens when it fails the second one, do we have to brew again". He said panicked.
" That's why I had you write down the process and recipe we used for each elixir we have brewed so far. Even if it fails the second test, there'll only be need for slight changes. It'll be easier".
" Is that so?". He said looking down.
" Go bring me that machine over there. The one that looks like a microscope".
" Is it not?". He asked as he went to bring it.
" No, it sees object a million times smaller than the light microscope. It's called a nanoscope , I want to use it to analyze the component of the elixir and see if it complement Xandra's needs".
" All those stupid terms, I'm sick of hearing them".
I smiled.
I did all the necessary tests and was glad to discover that it was just what we need. The elixir can eliminate the alien particles in her brain while enhancing her immune system.
It'll also prevent future intrusion from foreign particles. But it has a side effect. The elixir will increase her empathy level to 100. From her stats, I saw her initial empathy level is 9 which is too low for an average human.
Had it being she has a high empathy level, the elixir would have dropped it down to nothing,that is 0. But compared to the advantage, this little side effect is nothing.
I inserted the elixir into her drip as she's still unconscious and I can't make her regain consciousness in a short term.
Under the monitor of Shawn and I, Xandra started to make progress as evident from her stats. The rate of degradation slowed to a stop until the dead cells and organs started to regenerate.
I put a stop to the injection I used to keep her unconscious. So she would wake up when she's well and the effect you the elixir wears off.
She'll stay unconscious as long as the regeneration goes on so we just have to be patient and wait.
Drey was so happy when he received the news. We decided to wait until she regains consciousness before we inform Nelson and Mira.
They are very worried about her. Although I want to tell them the good news and let them rest at ease. But I want to wait until she wakes up and I'm absolutely sure she's fine, I don't want to give them false hope.
I'm already a 90% sure she'll make it, but I just have to make sure.
Since she doesn't need strict observation now, Shawn and I take turns watching over her and monitoring her stats.
