Hades remained remarkably calm about it all.
Undeniably, Hades was not the strongest within this mythical world. Yet, Hades was one of the few who had personally encountered the presence of an Evil God. Only through direct experience could one truly comprehend the terrifying power such a being held.
At the very least…
Even Hades, with all his strength, knew he would be utterly helpless against a truly powerful Evil God. Just one glance from such a being could make him vanish for eternity.
It was indeed that horrifying; such was the power of an Evil God, and the terrible divine force they embodied.
Is it hard to imagine? But…
That's the truth.
Because of this, Hades knew well that there was no way to stop what was happening. In light of that, he decided to just quietly observe.
Throughout the entire event, Hades maintained his calm.
And…
Every deity in the Underworld sensed it too. However, with their sovereign showing no signs of action, they all pretended to know nothing of the matter, going about as if oblivious.
Hades made no move, so they acted as though they were unaware of it.
The calm remained.
But…
While Hades could keep his calm, the mythical world at large was not so composed!
"…!"
"This…"
Even Erebos, one of the ancient gods, couldn't help but rise in shock. "That divine power… it's coming from Poseidon. That's Evil God power! How is this possible? Has the power of an Evil God really entered the mythical world?"
"Erebos."
"Stay calm."
Nyx, his wife, saw his alarm and spoke gently.
"Huff…"
Following her words, Erebos exhaled deeply, gradually regaining his composure. "Nyx, you know what this means, don't you?"
"Of course, I do."
"But…"
"What does it matter?" Nyx responded in a soft tone. "If Hades is taking no action, it means everything is within his control. Don't forget! Hades knows better than any of us where he began and just how terrifying the Evil Gods truly are."
Nyx's words calmed Erebos down further.
In that moment…
Erebos took another deep breath to steady himself.
Clearly…
Just as Hades had anticipated, Erebos reached the same conclusion.
Yes…
Even though they were ancient gods, neither Erebos nor Nyx had ventured to the far edge of the astral sea to witness the radiance of the Chaos Sea firsthand. Even for them, such a journey would be exceptionally dangerous.
Because of this…
In this mythical world, aside from perhaps the Earth Goddess or the Titan King—no, not even those two—Hades was likely the only one with the deepest understanding of the Chaos Sea and the Evil Gods.
"Erebos," Nyx spoke calmly, "let's simply wait and see what happens. No matter what, it's already happening, and we can only wait to see what comes next. For now, there is nothing we can do to stop it."
"Very well."
Erebos nodded, acknowledging this truth.
Furthermore…
The core reason behind Erebos and Nyx's choice to remain passive was their trust in Hades. To these two ancient deities, Hades' inaction signaled that they, too, needed to stay uninvolved.
Even as ancient gods, what could they do? In the minds of these two, Hades now controlled everything. All they needed to do was heed his lead.
Though…
Erebos and Nyx were foundational figures in the Underworld, its most respected elders with immeasurable standing.
However, they held no desire to assert their seniority. Instead, their attitude toward Hades was one of unreserved loyalty and calm acceptance. They had no intention of playing the role of domineering elders. For these ancient gods, their outlook was one of profound tranquility.
They were utterly composed.
To these two, there was no need to consider anything else. They only needed to follow Hades' lead.
Once…
The once-weak Underworld King had now grown strong. Their role was simply to follow Hades' steps. If they insisted on wielding their seniority, it would not end well for them.
The couple understood this well.
After all…
No matter how good-natured Hades might be, he was still the ruler. If they constantly threw their status around, would it be in their best interest?
No.
Not at all.
The two ancient gods understood the boundaries clearly, knowing not to cross them.
"However…"
Erebos frowned slightly. "Poseidon has gained control of Evil God power. If this continues, Poseidon may soon reach the level of an ancient god."
"It's hard to say."
Nyx shook her head. "At this point, it's difficult to predict. If Poseidon truly attains the level of an ancient god, then… who can say what the outcome will be? Will he still be himself?"
Nyx's thoughts were serious.
Clearly…
Nyx was not wrong to be concerned. If Poseidon so easily reached the level of an ancient god…
Then…
When that day comes, will Poseidon still be Poseidon? Will everything remain as it appears now?
Or…
Will Poseidon still be in control of himself?
For now, these questions had no answers, and they couldn't be clearly thought through. It would take time and careful study to understand it all.
But…
For the entire mythical world, the arrival of this Evil God aura had already triggered an undeniable wave of shock. To any deity within this world, the presence of an Evil God's power was deeply disturbing!
