"I'll tell you everything, but first, can I stay here for a few days?" Thalia requested, staring at them with hope in her eyes. She need to stay away from her father.
Xavier and Anastasia glanced at each other before nodding.
She was obviously running away from someone as the bag on her shoulder was proof of evidence.
"Thank you so much," she said when Anastasia gave her a glass of water.
Not sure if this was the perfect time to ask questions, Anastasia shared a glance with Xavier who gave a simple nod to go ahead.
He was also curious to know what chased her out of her home.
"What happened?" Anastasia asked.
Thalia wiped the back of her mouth with her hand, taking her deep breath before she parted her lips to speak.
"My father wants me to get married to some man," she said which earned her a confused expression from the couple.
"What man?" Anastasia asked with concern laced in her tone.
