Destiny's POV
"We need to get married today," Red said, his voice steady but filled with emotion. "I wanted to give you the grandest wedding you deserve, with flowers, music, and everything that would make you smile. But I can't wait any longer. I don't want to go back to the city without making you my wife. I want to see you walk down the aisle, even if it is just here, surrounded by our friends."
My heart raced. I could feel my pulse in my throat as his words sank in.
"Red," I whispered, barely able to breathe, "I don't care when or where it happens. Being married to you has been my greatest wish since we were children."
His expression softened, and for the first time in a long while, I saw pure light in his eyes. The kind of light that made every hardship, every tear, every moment of waiting worth it.
