Destiny's POV
The first raindrop touched my skin before I even realized what was happening. It was soft at first — a whisper from the heavens — then another followed, sliding down my cheek like a tear that wasn't mine. The air thickened with the scent of salt and rain, and the world seemed to pause.
That was when I saw Red kneeling in front of me.
Everything around me fell away — the rhythm of the waves, the hum of the wind, even the sound of my own heartbeat. All I could see was him, drenched under the deepening storm, his eyes locked on mine with the kind of love that steals the air from your lungs.
"Red…" I breathed, barely more than a whisper.
He smiled faintly — soft, trembling, heartbreakingly sure. "Don't move," he murmured, his voice thick with emotion. "This is where I'm meant to be — right here."
And then, he opened the velvet box.
