Chapter 5 - Separation

Ki woke up to the sound of Septh crying softly beside him. He opened his eyes and found himself in what seemed like an underground prison cell. Septh's eyes were red and puffy, filled with worry. Zephyr was still asleep, snoring lightly. Ki sat up, feeling a dull ache in his right hand.

"Are you alright?" Septh asked, her voice trembling with emotion.

"Yeah, I'll be fine," Ki replied, trying to reassure her. He gently squeezed her hand, offering what comfort he could. Septh looked into his eyes, her expression full of concern and fear.

"Please, Ki, don't act so recklessly again," Septh pleaded, tears welling up in her eyes.

Ki patted her head softly. "I'll try not to," he promised, feeling a pang of guilt for causing her so much worry.

Zephyr stirred awake, rubbing his eyes. "Oh, you're finally awake," he mumbled, still half-asleep.

"Those are my words," Ki teased, trying to lighten the mood. Septh let out a soft laugh, grateful for the momentary relief.

"Anyway, after you passed out, those old-fashioned soldiers dragged us here," Zephyr explained, now fully awake.

"Thanks for the update, Captain Obvious," Ki quipped, earning a playful scowl from Zephyr.

"We're in an underground prison, and I've checked everywhere. There's no way out, and the soldiers are everywhere," Septh added, her voice filled with resignation.

Their conversation was interrupted by the sound of a large door creaking open. Light flooded into the dark hallway, casting eerie shadows. The door closed with a loud thud, and the sound of footsteps echoed towards them.

The footsteps grew louder, and a figure emerged from the darkness. It was a pale, beautiful lady in a blue dress, her presence commanding yet enigmatic. Zephyr's eyes widened, struck by her beauty.

She spoke in a language they didn't understand, and the three of them exchanged confused looks. Realizing their confusion, she ordered a guard to take Septh with her. Septh resisted, screaming for help, but the guard dragged her away, despite Ki and Zephyr's attempts to stop them.

"Help me! Please, stop this!" Septh cried out, her voice echoing down the hallway as she was carried away.

The hallway fell silent once again, the only sound being the distant echo of Septh's cries. Ki and Zephyr were left alone, feeling helpless and uncertain of what lay ahead.
