Chapter 603 - Chapter 605: Silent Hill (Part 1)

The title of "strongest" or "number one" is not something everyone can relinquish. For example, most people know the name of the world's tallest mountain, but very few can name the second tallest. Even someone like Stark, now a superhero, still cares deeply about his titles of "richest man" and "smartest person." Although Stark's status as the richest man may have some exaggeration—after all, no matter how much wealth he has, he can't compete with someone who owns a Vibranium mine.

Similarly, Wei Zhuang has always competed with Gai Nie, aiming to determine who is superior. In the same way, countless people in the pirate world challenge Whitebeard or Mihawk, all for the title of "strongest."

Not everyone is like Daniel Davis, who focuses on quietly amassing wealth. Just as Fushiguro Toji had a chance to survive if he had chosen to flee instead of fighting Satoru Gojo. At that time, Gojo had just awakened his powers, making it nearly impossible for him to defeat Toji. However, Toji chose to sacrifice himself for what he called "abandoned dignity," engaging in a direct confrontation with Gojo, which led to his downfall.

"Yuji Itadori, it seems I owe you an apology. I can't allow you to gain more of Sukuna's power." Initially, Yuji Itadori was capable of containing the power of all twenty of Sukuna's fingers. In the original story, during the Shibuya Incident, he had already consumed fifteen fingers. But now, he has only three. Though incredibly strong, it is incomparable to having fifteen. The gap between special-grade curses is vast. Sukuna, with just one finger, easily annihilated a special-grade curse deemed formidable by the Jujutsu Headquarters.

"It's time to collect the rest of the fingers." Daniel Davis had already acquired most of Sukuna's fingers from sources like Mei Mei, Jogo, and Mahito. He also knew the locations of the remaining ones. As he spoke, he created two shadow clones to retrieve the remaining fingers.

"The Infinite Expansion Curse Technique really is similar to the Limitless Technique. I wouldn't have thought of this if I hadn't encountered Gojo Satoru."

While the shadow clones collected Sukuna's fingers, Daniel continued researching the mysteries of space-related abilities. He had mastered the Infinite Expansion Curse Technique long ago but had never considered using it in combat. It wasn't until witnessing Satoru Gojo's Limitless Technique that he realized how similar the two techniques were—both stretched space to incredible lengths.

Newt Scamander's suitcase from the wizarding world of Harry Potter had a space large enough to fit a small town. Daniel had underestimated the utility of Harry Potter's magic, perhaps due to its widespread use in that world. But he realized now that such magic was more powerful than he initially thought—a classic case of "hidden in plain sight."

The Infinite Expansion Curse Technique had traditionally been used to expand space, but no one had thought of applying it in combat. Yet, it could achieve a similar effect to the Limitless Technique. Of course, this was only theoretical. Gojo's Limitless Technique derives its power from a cursed technique, not merely an understanding of space.

Similarly, magic in the Harry Potter world is derived from spells. Once the spells are learned, the corresponding magic can be used, regardless of the user's understanding of space. Even the Time-Turner in Harry Potter worked this way. However, Daniel Davis had the advantage of combining his knowledge with artifacts like the Space Stone and the Time Stone. Given time, he could potentially achieve feats like instant travel across vast distances, creating pocket dimensions, or wielding abilities reminiscent of mythical techniques like Shrinking the Earth or Palm-Sized Buddha Kingdoms.

For example, Satoru Gojo's incredible speed is essentially an effect of the Limitless Technique, allowing him to shrink distances. However, this ability has a weakness: it requires a straight-line path with no obstacles, as anything in the way gets destroyed by the sheer force. That's why Gojo often uses this technique while flying in the air, minimizing collateral damage. A perfected version of this "Shrinking the Earth" technique would have no such limitations.

"Yuta Okkotsu has made his move. Copying curse techniques—each ability is more broken than the last. If only he had the Six Eyes; he could potentially copy the Limitless Technique and become another Satoru Gojo. Bloodlines really do make a difference."

Using Observation Haki, Daniel sensed Yuji Itadori encountering Yuta Okkotsu. He shook his head slightly. Both Gojo and Yuta were leagues above other special-grade sorcerers, which made sense, considering they were relatives. Yuta was even more versatile than Gojo—his Reversed Cursed Technique could heal others, something even Gojo couldn't do. Gojo himself had acknowledged that Yuta had the potential to surpass him. If Yuta could copy Gojo's Six Eyes, he might have already done so.

The Gojo family's Limitless Technique requires the Six Eyes to unleash its full potential. Without the Six Eyes, the Limitless Technique is far less formidable.

"The moment of death as the trigger for resurrection—this not only freed Yuji from his bindings but also concealed his presence. The Jujutsu Headquarters sent Yuta to execute Yuji Itadori, but that decision backfired. In hindsight, it's not entirely their fault. Yuta was their best hope for killing Sukuna and taking down Satoru Gojo."

Despite Yuji's significant improvements, the gap between him and Yuta remained vast. Their fight lasted only a moment before Yuta killed Yuji. However, Yuta resurrected him shortly after, explaining Gojo's plan to Yuji and instructing him to stay hidden for now.

"Yaga Masamichi, hand over the method for creating cursed corpses, and I might spare your life."

Meanwhile, at another location, Yaga Masamichi found himself in trouble. He had already been sentenced to death, and now Principal Gakuganji of the Kyoto Jujutsu School came to execute him. Shoko Ieiri, on the other hand, faced no such danger. Her ability with the Reversed Cursed Technique made her irreplaceable. While Yuta Okkotsu could also use the Reversed Cursed Technique, he couldn't be relegated to a purely support role as a top-tier sorcerer.

"I always wondered why Yaga Masamichi was targeted. It turns out it was all for his method of creating cursed corpses," Daniel muttered. He had initially been puzzled about why the higher-ups would go after Yaga, who posed no significant threat compared to Gojo. But after hearing Gakuganji demand the cursed corpse creation method, it all made sense.

Yaga Masamichi had created Panda, a cursed corpse with self-awareness and exceptional combat capabilities. The higher-ups wanted to exploit this method to create an army of cursed corpses under their direct control. One Panda was already formidable—what if they had a hundred, or even a thousand? Even Gojo might struggle against such an overwhelming force. Human sorcerers, after all, have limited cursed energy.

Though Yuta's cursed energy seemed "infinite," it was only in theory. True infinity doesn't exist. Even beings like Kurama, the Nine-Tails, who claimed to have infinite chakra, would eventually tire from overexertion.

The higher-ups had long coveted Yaga's secret but refrained from acting while Gojo was present. Now that Gojo was sealed, they moved swiftly. If they succeeded in creating a cursed corpse army, they would have a way to counter even Gojo once he broke free.

"Another muscle-bound fighter. These higher-ups aren't completely useless, after all."

Gakuganji surprised Daniel by revealing his prowess in close combat. Despite his frail and elderly appearance, Gakuganji's body transformed mid-fight into a muscular powerhouse. However, even with such strength, Yaga Masamichi was no match and soon lay bloodied against a wall.

"Hand it over," Gakuganji demanded.

"Now that Gojo is gone, you people really show your true colors," Yaga retorted. Before Gakuganji could press further, Daniel's voice suddenly echoed through the air.

"Isn't it a bit too much for the Kyoto School to meddle in this?" Daniel's sudden appearance caught Gakuganji off guard.

"This has nothing to do with you. Stay out of it," Gakuganji warned, frowning.

Daniel tossed a small cube—the Prison Realm—lightly in his hand. Seeing this, Gakuganji's expression changed, and he lunged at Daniel. However, in an instant, both of Gakuganji's arms vanished, severed cleanly without a trace. Blood sprayed everywhere, but to Daniel's surprise, Gakuganji remained silent, only grunting in pain before retreating decisively.

"You know, the crimes you accused Gojo of are the same ones he plans to pin on you: colluding with curses and betraying Gojo to have him sealed away."

Hearing this, Gakuganji stumbled, clutching his chest as a small stone pierced through his back, leaving a gaping hole. He collapsed heavily to the ground.

"Apologies for the delay," Daniel said flatly, glancing at Yaga.

Yaga sighed, looking at Gakuganji's body but said nothing.

"You're badly injured. Get someone to tend to you," Daniel advised before leaving. Though Yaga's injuries were severe, they weren't life-threatening. As for the cursed corpse method, Daniel had no interest. It was unlikely to be without

significant limitations—if it were truly without drawbacks, even Gojo himself might have acted on it to reduce casualties among sorcerers.

"The poor higher-ups. They've completely lost touch with the lower ranks. No wonder they're losing." From Principal Yaga to Yuta Okkotsu, and even the Zen'in family head—all were aligned with Gojo. The higher-ups only heard good news, unaware that Yuta had already rallied everyone he could. Even the Kyoto School sided with Gojo after Mechanical Maru personally vouched for him.

"Alright, this is yours now. My deal with Gojo is complete." Daniel handed the Prison Realm to Yuta.

"Thank you," Yuta replied, immediately using the technique to release Gojo. Though unlocking the Prison Realm was complicated, Gojo had prepared for this by leaving behind the Inverted Spear of Heaven, a special-grade cursed tool.

Emerging from the Prison Realm, Gojo stretched and smiled. "It was cramped in there. By the way, what's going on with Master Tengen?"

Yuta hesitated but glanced at Daniel.

"I'll excuse myself for now," Daniel said, turning to leave. Clearly, Gojo and Yuta had something private to discuss.

"So that's why you allowed yourself to be sealed. It was all to test Master Tengen."

As the cornerstone of Jujutsu Society, responsible for all the barrier techniques, Master Tengen was essentially a curse spirit. Given the events of the Star Plasma Vessel incident, it was only natural for Gojo to want to test Tengen's loyalty—or even eliminate him if necessary. After all, the Star Plasma Vessel incident had played a significant role in Suguru Geto's betrayal.

"I found out that the fake Suguru Geto is someone named Kenjaku. His goal is…" After their discussion, Gojo sought out Daniel, who revealed Kenjaku's plans.

"Looks like I'll have to have a long talk with Master Tengen."

"That's your business. Once I deal with Sukuna inside Yuji Itadori, I'll be leaving." If it weren't for solving the Sukuna issue, Daniel would have left already.

"Thank you. Without you, this would've been far more difficult."

"No need to thank me. I gained something as well. Besides, I am human, after all." Since he was human, it was only natural to oppose curses.

"Yes, we are all human. It's just a pity that some people no longer wish to be."

Gojo had once held hope for the higher-ups in Jujutsu Society, but their actions during this incident completely shattered that hope.
