Each battle group is theoretically required to contribute one-tenth of the newly produced genetic seeds as a genetic seed tax to the Empire, which is then managed and preserved by the Sect of Mechanics in the Genetic Seed Bank after inspection.
So, what kind of seeds would each battle group submit?
With only a quota requirement, naturally, the least active seeds would be handed over, mostly the newly produced ones within a five-year cycle. The ones recovered from the sacrifices of veteran warriors and elites, or the particularly active ones, would surely be kept for themselves.
Those generally unimpressive genetic seeds, once sent to Mars, who knows how many years they have been stored in cold storage.
