Chapter 307 - Across The Ocean

The voices on the helicopter went silent upon the vital question - everyone was now thinking of whether they should risk their lives, or turn back with nothing. "What kind of question is that?" Alex asked, looking at Kevin, who nodded at him. "We've risked our lives multiple times for Nahata, and we're willing to take on an entire organisation if we have to," he said quietly. "Alright," the deep voice replied, signing off the radio along with the woman. Another wave of silence covered the helicopter like a blanket, but was broken by Kevin as he pointed something out in the ocean below.

A small island with a helicopter port stood right below them, and it seemed like it had a transit to the mainland of ART, which was in their sights. Victor placed the helicopter in the parking spot, and everyone disembarked as they looked at the beautiful and futuristic island of ART. "Past this point, we aren't able to directly fly into the island without governmental authorization," Victor informed everyone. They all glanced at the crowded border of ART, noticing multiple people scurrying around to try and make it into a tram. "Why can't we just fly onto the island with our powers?" Gerald quietly asked Victor, who looked at him as if he were stupid. "On the coast of ART, there are multiple manmade entities roaming around, ready to take out anyone who doesn't go through security." He looked behind Gerald to make sure everyone was with him, but the only people he saw were Alex, Samantha, and Michael. "Wait, where in the hell did Kevin go!?" he exclaimed, placing his hands on Gerald's shoulders. "Oh, he told me he was going onto the island earlier than us!" Gerald answered delightfully.

Everyone looked at him in disappointment. "You IDIOT!" they all said.

"This is fun!" Kevin exclaimed, flying freely across the sky as he watched all of the manmade water-type entities appear out of the ocean repeatedly. "A better way to get onto the island, AND a free training session!" He bonked one of the entities with a Gravitational Punch, causing the shockwave from the force of the punch to create a chain reaction. "This security blows!" he complained. "I need something STRONGER!"

The border patrol of ART watched in awe as Kevin freely flew across the skies with zero limits, watching his face as he swiftly advanced his way through their security. "How the hell is he taking down Natalie's security so swiftly!?" one of them exclaimed. "Beats me!" another one replied, aiming their sniper rifle straight at Kevin. "I'll knock him out of the sky!"

He shot a bullet, watching it soar across the sky. "I never miss!" he bragged. "I am Sniper, the best sniper in ART defense!"

"That's a challenge, isn't it!?" Kevin asked, slowly falling from the sky as both of his feet started to glow purple. "It's time to fly!" Kevin said, closely examining the border as he aimed for a random building. He pressed off of thin air, flying straight past the ART border patrol and zipped straight back into the skies. "Hell yeah!" Kevin exclaimed. "I'm in the futu-"

He got caught in a sudden explosion that knocked him back into the sea, and the impact caused him to pass out as the border patrol watched. "Guess we had our expectations too high for him," the soldier said. "However, it is an achievement to get to the island with such advanced security."

Sniper smiled, leaning his rifle against his right shoulder. "In all honesty, he didn't even look that bad to me," he thought. "Why is someone so powerful coming into our country, though?"

At the same time, the tram to ART was now soaring under the water, holding the remainder of Team ENTITY along with Victor. "Kevin's probably okay either way, you know he won't die so easily!" he reassured Samantha, which wasn't taken the way he wanted it to. "That's not an excuse for breaching border control, isn't it!?" Gerald crossed his arms across his waist and sunk into the seat. "Fine, I'm sorry!" he exclaimed. Samantha sighed, looking away from Gerald as she watched the tram's commute. A few seconds later, they lifted off from the sea, and they got their first close-up look of ART. "Welcome to Artificial Research Territory, also known as ART!" a robotic voice said over the intercom. "Our mission begins," Victor thought to himself, looking plainly at the island. "You better not run away like you did back in the Underground City," Alex reminded Samantha. "PLEASE," Samantha clapped back. "You weren't even a member of Team ENTITY back when we were in Scalia!"

Meanwhile on the beach of ART, an unconscious Kevin lay face-first into the sand, the waves slowly pulling him up and down repeatedly. He was approached by a mysterious woman, her face lighting up as soon as she saw him. She silently hauled him on her back, carrying him back up to the island. "Hopefully he won't wake up anytime soon!" she thought to herself, whistling as she walked back into the city with a literal body. However, nobody looked at her as if they were surprised - as she had done this thousands of times. Her name was Natalie, and at 16 years old, she was crowned as one of the top 10 best inventors and scientists in the world.
