Chapter 408 - 407: I Am Not Old!

Now that the figure was fully visible, Yun Wuji could clearly make out its form. It was humanoid in shape but had no body or facial features. It did not resemble a man or a woman. The only distinguishing aspect was a pair of eyes, dark as a bottomless abyss.

BOOMM!!

The moment it stared at Yun Wuji, he felt an invisible force pressing against his chest. Immediately after, a violent impact struck him, far stronger than the previous one that had sent him flying. His expression turned serious as he quickly placed the Wheel of Myriad Tribulation before him, blocking the attack.

"This thing attacked without saying a word. Shouldn't the final bosses give a lengthy speech before starting the fight?" Yun Wuji's lips twitched as his body was forced back three steps, leaving deep footprints behind.

"It doesn't even have a mouth, how could you expect it to talk?" Hei Xiaolian laughed sarcastically, then urged him, "Quickly, quickly, beat the shit out of it! Show it, this mommy's might!"

Yun Wuji shook his head helplessly at his overly enthusiastic Heavenly Profound Spirit wife. The Wheel began to rotate, its sharp, devilish fangs spinning rapidly and tearing through the space around them like Trump's fragile ego.

Rippp!!

Lifting the Wheel overhead, he swung it down toward the space ahead.

It was as if the world itself had been cleaved apart by an incomparably sharp dark blade. The already dark environment seemed to grow dimmer, and the sky, the earth, and even space itself were split clean in two.

BOOMM!

Thud! Thud! Thud!

The giant thrust its two palms forward to block the incoming attack. A massive thunderous explosion erupted within the silent Abyss of Death, stirring up dense Abyssal Dust that formed an enormous cyclone engulfing them both. The impact forced the giant to take three involuntary steps back.

Clear-cut marks appeared across its palms. They were undeniably deep, yet no blood, flesh, or bone was visible within the wounds. It was as if its body was hollow, made of nothing at all.

"So that's how it is." Yun Wuji narrowed his eyes as he observed the scene. It wasn't that the giant didn't bleed. On the contrary, the wound was 'bleeding' heavily. The only difference was that instead of blood, Abyssal Dust seeped from the gash. But with the air already thick with Abyssal Dust, anyone without enough sensitivity to it would never notice.

"It's healing itself! This thing is overpowered as fuck!" Hei Xiaolian exclaimed, staring at the wound that sealed in a split second as if it had never existed.

"This thing can actually control Abyssal Dust... no, it is completely made of it." Yun Wuji rose into the air, and before the giant could react, he swung the Wheel at it several times in rapid succession.

The giant's strength exceeded Yun Wuji's without Invictus, but with the Wheel of Myriad Tribulations in his hands, he could confront it directly. Anyone else, even with the Wheel's power, would have met only one fate; death.

Putting aside the immensely dense Abyssal Dust in this place, which could corrode even a True God, the giant itself was nearly unkillable in this environment. Perhaps even if the Abyssal Monarch came here with the two Devil Artifacts, he would still meet his death.

The giant made no sound. It did not roar or emit any eerie, shrill cry. It thrust its palms forward again, and Yun Wuji felt an invisible force surge toward him. The next moment, that force was instantly split in two by the Wheel.

When it came to destructive power, especially over a large area, the Wheel of Myriad Tribulations far surpassed the Ancestral Sword. Although the Wheel was far from its peak power, it was still strong enough to obliterate any barrier or force in this dimension.

If it had reached its peak, a single strike would have been enough to split the giant in two.

BOOM! BOOM!! BOOM!!

Heavy thunderous explosions erupted continuously, shaking the space within the Endless Fog. The shockwaves were so immense and devastating that they traveled all the way to the outskirts of the Endless Fog, terrifying and shocking countless people.

The Endless Fog occupied 99% of the entire Abyss, and the Abyss was nearly the same size as the Primal Chaos. This meant that the clash between the two had almost affected the entire world. Such was the power of the True Gods.

If these people were allowed to take even a single step into the fragile Primal Chaos, their mere existence, without doing anything, would cause the collapse of the entire universe in a short time. Even if they restrained their power to the absolute limit, it would only delay the destruction by a few measly years.

"Are you really fighting something there? The power is terrifying." Far away in another area of the Endless Fog, Shenwu Qing stared toward the Abyss of Death, speaking with fear and astonishment.

"Yeah, that thing is really powerful." The Heretic God Body nodded, lying carelessly on the floor with his head resting on his hands.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

With his figure moving at incomprehensible speed, leaving countless afterimages, Yun Wuji darted around the giant, slashing relentlessly with the Wheel and leaving numerous dark marks across its massive body.

The giant waved its hand, and each time, an invisible force tried to push Yun Wuji away. In the end, however, that force was always cut apart by the Wheel.

As the fight continued, Yun Wuji's brows furrowed. Since earlier, he had sensed something strange about this thing. Its movements were repetitive and predictable, and it had only used a single attack so far. More importantly, although its strikes were incredibly strong, they lacked any sharp edge. Their sole purpose seemed to be pushing him away.

It was as if the giant only wanted to be left alone, but he, like a persistent simp, kept bothering it like an annoying fly. Yun Wuji didn't know whether to be frustrated or confused.

"This creature is giving me a strange feeling," Li Suo said, watching the fight with a worried expression. The existence of a being like this in the Abyss of Death could probably overturn the common sense of every living being in the Abyss.

"No shit, stupid woman. Of course, this creature is strange! Even that annoying Red Devil can see that much!" Hei Xiaolian snorted at Li Suo's sword and spoke with disdain.

As soon as Hei Xiaolian spoke, she instantly regretted it. Hong'er, who had been holding a large sword in each hand and nibbling on both, paused her meal when she heard the comment. With an innocent expression, she retorted, "I am not a Red Devil and certainly not an annoying one. I am the cutest, smartest, most beautiful princess! Big sister, you are already this old. Don't carelessly insult others, or you'll become what big brother calls a 'bitter old hag.' Hmm, five billion years, big sister, you really are too old."

"Big sister... is... old?" You'er blinked and repeated her twin's words.

"..." Yun Wuji and Li Suo both stared at her with sympathetic expressions.

"I am not old! Ahhhh! Why is this stupid kid's mouth so poisonous!!!" Hei Xiaolian felt as if something had pierced her soul. She froze in place, and even the Wheel stopped rotating for a moment before she shouted loudly.

She had finally found someone she could push around, and why the fuck did she have to go and provoke that stupid kid? Damn it!!

"...Wuji!" With tearful eyes, she turned to Yun Wuji and pleaded, "I am not old! Right? I am not old, right? I am your cute and lovely Xiaolian! Tell me that I am not old!"

"Yeah... you are completely not old. You are only five billion years old, not old at all," Yun Wuji's face twitched as he forced a smile. "Even though you are as old as the existence of this universe, to me you'll always be a young girl."

This had happened countless times by now. Why couldn't she learn her lesson and stop provoking Hong'er?

"Absolutely, after all, your title has Infant in it."

"...Really?" Hei Xiaolian blinked hopefully, her desperate ears filtering out the fact that he had just told her she was as old as the beginning of existence.

"Really, really," Yun Wuji nodded repeatedly, then quickly changed the subject. "Let's finish this fight first and talk about other things. Look, that giant is about to attack!"

Fortunately, it seemed his attempt had succeeded. The Wheel, which had stopped moving, began rotating fiercely, much more violently than before. It seemed Hei Xiaolian wanted to vent all her negative emotions on this poor giant.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Rumble!

The two exchanged hundreds of blows, and the space around them was completely fragmented, feeling like a downpour as the explosions tore the fabric of space apart in an instant. Tens of thousands of dimensional whirlpools swirled around them, each capable of shredding a Divine Limit Realm practitioner to pieces instantly.

In their exchanges, Yun Wuji firmly held the upper hand, but the troublesome thing was that no matter how many injuries he inflicted, the giant's wounds always healed instantly, rendering all his efforts wasted.

"Well, that should be enough. I've had my fun." Yun Wuji suddenly smiled and put away the Wheel of Myriad Tribulations. After exchanging the first ten blows, he had already learned a way to deal with the giant, but he continued the fight because he wanted to feel what it was like to use Hei Xiaolian for the first time.

After all, it was rare to find a punching bag like this one, especially one so large.

Stretching his hand forward with a single thought, the Abyssal Dust around them suddenly froze, coming to a complete standstill. At the same time, the giant, about to thrust its palm forward, halted its movement as well.

This giant was essentially made of Abyssal Dust. Its power came entirely from the Abyssal Dust, and by extension, it could even control the Abyssal Dust in the area.

For anyone else, this would be an absolute nightmare, but to Yun Wuji, the giant was nothing more than a slightly more troublesome Abyssal Beast.

As he willed it, his spiritual sense suddenly shot toward the giant's forehead. He was about to subdue the giant!

However, just as his spiritual sense touched its forehead, something strange happened. The giant, which had been repeating the same actions since earlier, tilted its head, and its dark eyes suddenly gleamed with a strange light.

Suddenly, a strange voice echoed through the entire area. "You can control the Abyssal Dust!"
