Chapter 593 - 592. The Death of the Steppenwolf!

The metal pieces swirling around Tony Stark were fragments from Thor's hammer, Mjolnir.

Back in the Zombie Heroes universe, when Tony Stark first encountered dark magic, he accidentally summoned these fragments during his first attempt at casting a spell.

Originally, he had tried to summon the full hammer of Thor, especially since Thor himself had turned into a zombie, but for some reason, only fragments of Mjolnir appeared before him.

Even as fragments, these metals were not to be underestimated, as they came from the Asgardian realm and were authentic artifacts. Moreover, they had been blessed by the gods, so even as pieces, they could still exert tremendous combat power.

As the saying goes, the value of an item varies depending on the hands that hold it.

After obtaining these Mjolnir fragments, Tony Stark continuously thought of ways to incorporate them into his armor. Later, with the help of Mr. Fantastic, he finally integrated these pieces into real combat.

Normally, the fragments of Mjolnir were embedded into the outer surface of his armor, constantly charging Tony Stark's suit, ensuring he always had a steady energy supply no matter where he was.

It was like carrying seven or eight infinite power banks, keeping Tony Stark in peak condition at all times.

Additionally, the fragments of Mjolnir were the perfect medium for artificial intelligence. The original Mjolnir had its own "consciousness," though incomplete, it still held some self-awareness.

Through countless days of research by Tony Stark and Mr. Fantastic, they successfully transferred part of Jarvis's data into the fragments.

This was precisely why Tony Stark could call upon Jarvis in different universes, as the Mjolnir fragments themselves were powerful signal transmitters and energy sources.

Now, each piece of Mjolnir was a part of Jarvis's physical form, and with the supernatural energy within these fragments, Jarvis could fight alongside Tony Stark autonomously.

"Jarvis!"

Tony Stark made a hand gesture.

[Yes, sir.]

Jarvis's voice reverberated through the air, responding to Tony Stark's summons, as usual.

"Let's begin the next round, my turn—"

With Tony Stark's shout, the Mjolnir fragments shot out like blades, aiming directly at the Steppenwolf.

Clang, clang, clang, clatter!!

The rapid metal collision sounds rang out from the Steppenwolf's body as the Mjolnir fragments, imbued with the power of Thor, pounded against the Steppenwolf's armor, sending a shower of sparks.

However, the Steppenwolf's armor was no ordinary piece of equipment—it was from the Apokolips and was as hard and destructive as the Destroyer armor from the Asgard.

"Useless, I'll tear you apart!" the Steppenwolf roared in fury, glaring murderously at Tony Stark in the sky.

"You can only dream of it. This armor can internally transmit the terrifying energy that ordinary wizards need to chant spells or perform rituals to summon. Plus, every action of yours is predicted by the scanning system, including your weaknesses!"

Tony Stark raised both hands. In an instant, the weather changed drastically. The once-cool atmosphere darkened, and thick, dark clouds swirled ominously overhead, gathering terrifying energy.

"Gentlemen, care to lend me a hand?" Tony Stark turned to Black Adam and Shazam.

During their earlier 'watching' phase, Jarvis had not only been recording the Steppenwolf's physical traits but also keeping track of Black Adam and Shazam.

Having just entered a new universe, Tony Stark was very cautious about everyone, including the superheroes of this world.

After all, having witnessed himself being eaten alive by the Fantastic Four, Tony Stark could no longer afford to act recklessly.

Through Jarvis's observations and data comparisons, Tony Stark was surprised to find that both Black Adam and Shazam emanated divine energy, and not just from one godly domain, but from multiple pantheons. This piqued Tony Stark's interest.

But it wasn't just Tony Stark who was surprised—Black Adam and Shazam, who had been called out, also felt uneasy.

Sensing the anomaly in the sky, both men (boys) who had received divine powers from the Egyptian and Olympian gods immediately reacted. This energy was similar to the power they wielded.

Indeed, wizards were terrifying, able to wield such bizarre divine power.

Despite their surprise, the two didn't hesitate. They quickly positioned themselves on either side of Tony Stark, gathering lightning-infused magical energy in their hands.

"Accept divine retribution, monster."

Tony Stark raised his right hand and snapped his fingers.

The snap served as a signal, and in that instant, both Black Adam and Shazam unleashed their powers simultaneously, directing powerful thunderbolts at the Steppenwolf bound by the deep red chains.

If the Steppenwolf were at full strength, he would have easily broken free from the magical bindings, but the blast from Kara had nearly crippled his hands years ago.

Now, he had no chance to fight back, only able to watch as the terrifying bolts of lightning bore down on him.

The moment the lightning struck the Steppenwolf, the Mjolnir fragments spun into the air above his head, forming a circle that continuously rotated.

Then, a lightning bolt pierced the sky as if tearing it apart. The previously dim environment was suddenly bathed in daylight.

Crack!!

A deafening boom rang out, and the thunder from the heavens, like divine punishment, struck directly at the Steppenwolf's head. The destructive energy slanted downward, leaving a deep crater on the ground.

Tiny bolts of lightning spread across the ground, sending a tingling sensation through the bodies of those farther away, who could feel a wave of electric shivers.

The terrifying noise sounded as if the heavens were being torn apart, echoing throughout Gotham City, sending a chill down the spines of countless people.

For a moment, the world seemed to fall into silence. Everyone heard a ringing in their ears until the light flashed and the sound of soft rain began to fill the air.

Looking at the Steppenwolf, despite taking the full force of two gods, it had not yet perished. The armor on its body was cracked, and smoke billowed from its darkened form.

"Survives that? Truly remarkable physical resilience," Tony Stark muttered, raising an eyebrow as he observed the Steppenwolf's condition with great interest.

The Steppenwolf struggled to rise, its body flickering with a final burst of life as it revealed a twisted grin.

"You... you cannot resist The Great Darkness. The secrets of this planet can no longer be hidden. The Great One will shall inevitably arrive."

Upon hearing the Steppenwolf's words, everyone present changed their expressions.

Shazam instinctively looked at Black Adam, while Black Adam frowned deeply, his face dark with concern as he glared at the Steppenwolf.

The secrets of this planet?

What kind of secrets could this planet hold?

Could there be something on Earth that even they were unaware of?

"What do you mean by that?" Tony Stark couldn't help but ask.

Although he didn't know exactly what had happened on this planet, Stark was very aware of how important this world was to the Wasteland Universe.

Having finally found a world where they could establish trade with the Wasteland Universe, Stark certainly didn't want this world to be destroyed by these monsters.

However, all he received in response was the Steppenwolf's arrogant and manic laughter. The laugh was wild and unrestrained, as if mocking the heroes who had seemingly won.

Even though they had won, a sense of despair still lingered in the air.

The Steppenwolf had completely lost its sanity, mocking everyone present as if it could already see their brutal deaths. Finally, Tony Stark couldn't stand it any longer. Frowning, he raised his hand, ready to send this crazed monster on its way.

But someone was faster than him.

As the Steppenwolf continued its mad laughter, Hippolyta, wielding the Olympian sword, leaped forward, the blade aiming directly at the Steppenwolf's neck, gathering all her strength for the strike.

After its armor was destroyed by the power of lightning, the Steppenwolf had lost its ability to resist the divine sword.

There was no obstruction in the way of the blade, and Hippolyta's sword cleaved through the Steppenwolf's neck, severing its head as blood sprayed out.

Only the echoes of its laughter remained, lingering in everyone's ears.

"I can already feel its presence. You're all doomed, hahahaha!"

Meanwhile, in the Arctic, the ruins of the Lonely Fortress.

Without slowing down at all, Kara swiftly headed toward the location indicated by Doctor Fate.

Although Batman hadn't told Doctor Fate the exact location he was heading to, the existence of the Lonely Fortress was no secret to him.

As long as Doctor Fate wanted, determining its location wouldn't be difficult.

While assisting Kara's journey, Doctor Fate's physical form was still battling parademons on the outskirts of Wayne Manor, but a fragment of his consciousness traveled with Kara, continuously guiding her.

Flying from Gotham to the Arctic, even at full speed, Kara had a long way to go, and her mind was anything but calm.

From the phone calls, it was clear that the enemies Batman was facing were no mere pushovers, and considering Batman himself was an aging ordinary man, Kara grew even more concerned.

Though she didn't have the best opinion of the people here, Batman had been a battle companion in the past.

If possible, Kara didn't want him to suffer any harm.

But in reality, she had already prepared for the worst.

Finally, after swiftly crossing a sea of clouds, when the scenery ahead cleared, Batman's figure appeared in Kara's line of sight.

She saw Batman, helplessly lying on the snow, motionless, and beside him was a massive creature lying on its back.

A long, green spear was thrust firmly into the creature's face!
