ALEXIA P. O. V
It has been weeks since the incident at Asher's house and since then I haven't seen him nor heard from him again before I didn't care but now?... I don't know how to explain it
I was staring out the window deeply immersed in my thoughts l didn't realize someone just came in
"What are you thinking about sweet cheeks" Tyler said while twirling in the chair
"Nothing"
"Nothing??
I nodded then turned to face the window again "Nothing at all" I whispered
l guess what happened between me and Asher was nothing at all seeing as I was the only one feeling this way and he simply just forgot about the moment I left his room that night
"Hmmm..... Well you are obviously depressed, get up" Tyler suddenly got then took my hand
"What, why? to where?"
"Somewhere fun"
"But l'm in the middle work"I tried to reason
"Yh totally "he rolled his eyes sarcastically
He was right so l didn't argue anymore,30 minutes later we pulled up at an race track, the place was parked with anxious audience,he walked over to some shady looking men and soon two flashy race cars were ready.
My eyes sparkle as l realized what we were going to do l ran over to grab his hand
"I choose the red one"I excitedly said like a toddler, this was just what I needed
"Sure.... But don't think I'll make it easy for you this time" he winked
"Ha, that's what you think"
"Oh and Alexia?"
"Yes?"
"Don't wander around this place is kinda dangerous"
"Don't treat me like a little kid Tyler, I have been in worse places besides if it was so dangerous why did you bring me here"
*Chuckles*"beats me but stay close okay?"
"Fine, now are you gonna race or lecture me?"I said as l got into the car .
"The death pit"I have heard of the place a couple of times and have even came here and race when l was still in highschool but always maintained a low profile. This place well..... Was kinda of illegal, it was owned and controlled by someone powerful in the underworld l don't really care about the details but l do know that here all sort of betting on the racers life rather than who wins is done here.
Racers are not guarantee the chance to life after encountering the devil's teeth. The race track was constructed on top of a mountain thereby making it more dangerous as you go; frightening hills, sharp turns, an old bridge and the deadliest of all the Devil's teeth. The devil's teeth is located at almost the end of the race there the road.
What makes it dangerous there is simple first the road gets slippery there making it hard to control car causing the rider to loose control and then comes the sharp turn, while still struggling to control your car there's a turn as sharp as the "devil's teeth"they say and only a few have been able to pass there alive. After the too many frequent deaths the owners constructed another easier way which riders opt out more though it was still very hard to pass there but there was more chances of life following that way.
"Hey Alexia,you coming?" Tyler yelled
"Yeah just give me a minute to do something"as l was walking the garage where the workers were checking the cars for any fault, l felt someone looking at me l looked back to see a man dress in a black even wearing a black mask and sunglasses then I felt that strange cold l felt back at the villa "odd"I looked up, the sun was still high up in the sky l looked back at the guy and he was nowhere to found in the mist of my searching l bumped into someone
"Oh l am so sorry"I apologize
"Arrgh, are your eyes back of your head or something?,how dare y...."his words got stuck in his mouth
I was in any mood to deal with any idiots
"Again l am so sorry"
"Oh my!, Such a beauty"he muttered
"What's a beauty like you doing in such a rough place like this?, Maybe once l'm done with the race l could show you around some good place, what do you say, Love?" He said trying to reach for my face
I swapped it away"don't get too ahead of yourself, l'm not here for the likes of you" I said then walk away but he grabbed me
"Come on darling, no need to be harsh besides you still haven't repay me for the bump you just caused and l have a few things in mind that you can use to pay" his dirty eyes roamed my body
"Go screw yourself block head, what makes you think l will be interested in you?"
"Because I am handsome, rich, and also the best Racer around here, come on girl, you are supposed to be happy that I have picked an interest in you, girls are always lining up to have a chance with me and now you have it, no need to be such a snub"
"You forgot to add a jerk and a pervert to your list besides what makes you think you are best Racer here?" I smirked
"With your gross and boastful behaviour l can already tell you are a loser, pride isn't a good thing my dear better loose it before you fall.. woefully if l may add"
He was livid, he gripped my hand hard" look little girl l don't know who is your backup around here but l assure you wouldn't want to cross me, now be a good girl and wait for me right here after the race or else you'll regret it" he threatened
who does he think he is " was that supposed to make me scared"? And with that I twisted his wrist and pinned him against the wall
"If l were you, l would stay far away from me as possible or else you might loose that boastful tongue of yours" I said then walked away to the changing room and get back to Tyler. So much for staying out of trouble.
