CHAPTER 23
ASHER P. O. V
I rushed her to our family doctor to check her thankfully apart from her head injury she would be fine. I stayed with her all night even when she had an panic attack, l admit l didn't know how to help, l have never cared for someone before all l could think of was hug her and thankfully she was okay, l couldn't fathom the thought of something happening to her. When l knew she was in deep sleep l walked out.
"Where is he?"
"In your office Sir"
Immediately l entered my office l was thrown to the other side with brute force
"Where is She?" He shouted
"Safe with me"
I said while dusting my clothes off the dirt
He scoffed "and she wasn't safe with me"
"Apparently not, who would in their right mind would take a girl to a race track now l know you are mad but why bring her into this" I said
"How l treat her is none of your business, now give her to me"
He charged at me with a blow but l was about to block it with my hands, we were staring face to face
"Why do you care about her all of a sudden Asher?, Is this all part of your scheme again?"
"I don't have to answer to you"
I pushed him hard that he slammed into a wall leaving a big dent there
"Before yes, you don't need to answer to me but now seeing as it concerns her, you need to answer to me"
He sat up spitting some blood on the floor, l went over and held him by collar
"Who are you to her, Tyler?" I asked
"None of your business, look l don't have time for chitchat just give me her and l'll be well on way"
"No" I said firmly
A deep frown appeared on his face before he pushed me away to bookshelves bringing everything tumbling down
"I know we have our differences and disputes but it has nothing to do with her"
"Who says this has anything to do with you" I said
"Then why are you keeping her?"
"Nothing you should be concern with but one thing is for sure and that is l won't hurt her"
We both glared at eachother the atmosphere was tense and cold
"Very well Asher Slade but do keep in mind that even if a single tiny strand of her hair is missing, your whole line of generation will pay for it"
"Is that supposed to make me scared?"
"Not yet"
Saying that he left he dust his clothes and left
"Lunatic" I said, wiping the blood streaming from my nose
"Erm... Sir?, Wait what happened here?" Felix said
"Tyler happened"
"Anytime you guys are together there's a always a trail of something l must clean" Felix grumbles
"Tell the punk to stay away from me"
"But sir if l may ask, what does he wants this time?"
"Alexia"
"Why?"
"I don't know yet, they seem to have a connection"
"But sir why keep Miss Williams?"
"I want to observe something"
"And what is that, Sir?"
"You'll know when the time comes"
Then I walked back to Alexia room to still find her perfectly asleep, l stayed with her till the next morning.
I had something to tend to in the morning so l left her side for the moment. When coming back l could hear my annoying sister troubling the girl and she was offering to transfer her to a hospital but not on my watch
"She's not leaving" I said firmly
"But....
"Clara" I warned
Alexia face was in a deep frown ' it looks the headaches are back thanks to this annoying girl"
" Leave "
After finally sending them out my focus was on her, l wanted to comfort her but also curiosity as to what happened that day
" What happened that day" I couldn't help but blurt out
"I guess I was feeling a bit dizzy okay?, Wait how did you know were you stalking me?!"
That wasn't enough explanation for me
"I have better things to do than stalk you"
I regretted that word as soon as it came out of my mouth
"Well-done Asher" that stupid wolf remark
"Shut up"
"And no l wasn't stalking you l just happened to be there and saw how reckless you are"
"Reckless!!!? me reckless!!?, mistakes happen how does that that make me reckless?" She yelled
"Why would you even be there in the first place talk less of driving inside the car, do you know how dangerous that place is?"
I couldn't help raising my voice a little bit,Didn't she care just a little bit about her health or her life
"Why do you care? I mean what l'm l even doing here?, you avoided me for weeks then suddenly appeared like nothing happened and scold like l'm a little kid"
"Maybe if you weren't so reckless you wouldn't have been treated like a kid"
"I do whatever I want, it shouldn't have anything to do with you" she shouted back
"You are unreasonable"
"Fine do whatever you want,you can leave too but after you are better" I said
How could someone be so reckless, and was that all she saw of me, heartless!! All l wanted to do was keep her safe but she is just so unreasonable l will just let her do whatever she wants, l don't care
