"Good morning," Kaelan said to everyone, his voice soft but cheerful. He stopped short when he saw the table before him. It was completely covered with food—sweet dishes, fruits, and a colorful variety of breakfast plates, all arranged with care and warmth.
"I prepared all this for you," Julian said with a bright smile. "I wanted your first day of marriage to feel special."
Kaelan's heart softened instantly. "Thank you, Julian," he said sincerely before stepping forward to hug him. Julian laughed gently and patted his back.
"Thank you for accepting me," Kaelan whispered quietly against his shoulder.
Julian shook his head with a tender smile. "No, don't thank me. You're perfect for her. I should be the one thanking the ghost gods for letting our wife marry someone like you."
Kaelan smiled, his chest feeling warm. For a long time, he had lived without a real sense of belonging, but now, surrounded by this strange, loving family, he felt truly lucky.
