Chapter 4555: To Be Discovered, Impressive Indeed
Lin Moyu's thinking was simple: there was no point in concerning himself with what might happen to the chaotic wilderness even if it was to be destroyed in the next moment, it would be beyond his control or ability to intervene. If he wanted to intervene, only one thing mattered: getting stronger.
As long as his strength was great enough, even if the chaotic wilderness was destroyed, he could survive. If he became even stronger, he could protect his own family and friends.
He thought of the forbidden zone's system, and the primordial gemstone that wandered for countless years inside it proved the forbidden zone wasn't completely inaccessible. Plus, Lin Moyu had a storage space, an independent world all its own.
He always had backup plans, so all he needed was to strengthen himself step by step to the absolute limit everything could be solved.
Sometimes that's all it takes: the more complicated things seem, the simpler the solution must be.
Little Tree and Chaos Child agreed. Strength is the foundation; anything more is just pointless concern.
Passing through yet another battlefield recently ravaged by war, Lin Moyu saw blood still hot and boiling, soul fragments echoing with resentment, howling in the void. Most of the dead were from the South Pole nearly all South Pole Zerg.
In the South Pole, Zerg were as expendable as cannon fodder he'd seen enough at the Bug Stele to know just how many there were at the core.
If the bug ocean broke loose, they could easily crush all his undead followers through sheer numbers.
The battle between the South Pole and Central Region looked fierce, but for the South Pole, it was just losing disposable pawns.
The Central Region's cultivators lost a few as well, but not nearly as many, and when Central Region folks die, they stay dead unlike the Zerg, who can be reborn from the Bug Stele.
Lin Moyu didn't interfere it seemed to him that life and death were each one's fate.
If you die in battle, that's destiny unless you go against the heavens and change your fate.
Even he had tribulations and needed to defy fate again and again in order to survive.
As he neared the end of the battlefield, a figure appeared with a black treasure bottle, sweeping up all the blood and souls in the void. The aura clearly marked him as a North Pole native. Only at greater completion of the Chaos Realm, he violated no rules by being there.
Under his feet was a jet black sword an artifact used to hide oneself from sight, impossible for most to detect.
Thanks to the Hidden Spirit Pearl, Lin Moyu could approach unnoticed, observing from up close.
Little Tree asked, "Master, should we intervene?"
Lin Moyu shook his head slightly. "No. Let's see how they react when they get to the World's Wall and find it empty.
That place, which so many have wanted to enter for ages, ends up being nothing at all.
Odds are, everyone will be devastated."
A certain mischievous pleasure sprang up inside him as he watched the man collect flesh and souls, then signaled Xiao Peng to leave.
He wasn't interested so long as the man didn't bother him, he wouldn't get involved.
After a few more days' flight, huge fortresses came into view unmistakably those of the Central Region Divine Alliance, built as war forts with great power.
An army was stationed there; it was the Divine Alliance's base in the South Pole.
After clearing out the South Pole's invaders, the alliance struck back using the cross domain array and built this stronghold.
Most stationed here were human cultivators, with some other races from the Free Region mixed in.
There were so many strong beings here Lin Moyu sensed at least a thousand Perfection level auras alone.
He also detected Candle Dragon's aura although only at early Chaos Realm, Candle Dragon mixed among several Perfection levels, a perk of being the Green Robed Old Man's man, enjoying some special privileges.
Lin Moyu ignored the outer warding arrays, drawing a rune that, under the Hidden Spirit Pearl's effect, became invisible.
The rune opened a passage for Lin Moyu none of the alliance's alarm arrays could detect him.
The stronghold was vast; the cross domain grand array was located at the very back.
Here the Hidden Spirit Pearl's power was in full effect nobody noticed Lin Moyu at all.
He soon found the exact site of the grand array. Little Tree reached through folds of space, locking onto its core.
When a rune fell, Lin Moyu entered the array.
"Who's there?"
A sharp bark cracked through the air Lin Moyu turned to see a shirtless middle aged man eyeing him warily.
Upon entry, Lin Moyu had put away the Hidden Spirit Pearl; he hadn't expected anyone inside the array. Normally, nobody would be present those sent by transportation would be outside.
The man was a Perfection level expert, one of the top.
Lin Moyu said, "Central Region Divine Alliance Grand Elder, Lin Moyu. Who might you be?"
"You're the Grand Elder?" The man sounded skeptical. "Show your identity token."
Lin Moyu produced his token a purple gold radiance, unmistakable proof of Grand Elder status.
Satisfied, the man drew his own token also purple gold.
"I am Central Region Divine Alliance Grand Elder Fire Chenzi greetings, Elder Lin."
Lin Moyu asked, "Why are you here, Daoist Fire?"
Fire Chenzi replied, "By order, defending this array. What is Elder Lin's purpose here?"
Lin Moyu answered, "I have business here, but it's not convenient to say."
Fire Chenzi paused, a hint of displeasure in his look, but showed no overt reaction.
"Then is Elder Lin returning to the Central Region?"
Lin Moyu shook his head, "Not for now."
As they spoke, Lin Moyu strolled calmly to the array's core, evidently quite familiar with the formation.
Fire Chenzi trailed warily behind his orders were to guard the array, no matter who showed up.
Lin Moyu didn't stop him, just chuckled, "If Elder Fire is so concerned, I'll take my leave."
He drew another rune and activated the array.
It began humming, and Lin Moyu vanished from Fire Chenzi's sight.
"Gone?"
Fire Chenzi was baffled by Lin Moyu's going coming so suddenly and then leaving just as abruptly.
"Whatever gone is good enough."
Unable to figure it out, he returned to his meditation post, keeping watch.
Lin Moyu hadn't left he'd just briefly activated the array, hidden himself using the Hidden Spirit Pearl, and entered the array's true core with another rune, so it seemed he'd teleported out.
Inside the array's core, there was yet another statue, just like before.
The statue slowly turned toward Lin Moyu and spoke in a deep voice, "Show yourself."
Lin Moyu grinned, "To be discovered impressive indeed!"
