The next morning, I woke up and began getting ready for my classes, which had a hectic schedule. I sometimes wonder what my life even holds. I picked up a random flyer that has made its way to my doorstep, stating, "Life holds vibrant colors that need to be explored in every aspect of life. Sometimes it is red with anger, blue with sadness, green with harmony, yellow with happiness, purple with pride, and pink with love. When a man explores it all, he becomes complete." Well, can't disagree but can't agree also, as certain parts of life should remain unexplored to avoid inconvenience. Whatever classes call, might as well tag along with Arvyan and Sanyara. I opened the door and screamed at my high lungs "AHHHHHH!!!! What the hell, you can't just pop out of anywhere, and for how long have you been there?" I felt backwards on my butt looking at Sanyara, who happens to be standing in front of my door with her uniform, putting on an expressionless face while sucking a lollipop. Anyway, dont do that ever again, or else I will have a heart attack.
"Dont worry, with today's technology, a heart attack is not that severe; you can be saved. It is treated like a mild cold nowadays." After hearing her straightforward answer, I pondered what the hell is wrong with this girl? Can't she take a little sarcasm, or is she dumb, or is she that type of girl? Beauty but with no brains. "Yeah, you are right, so silly of me," I said with a nervous, awkward smile. So what brings you to my doorstep?, I asked, to which she replied nonchalantly, "Waiting for you.",ย "I was going to do the same, but it looks like you are too early for me," I said with a sigh. "Let's go to the lecture, by the way, where is Arvyan?" I questioned her, to which she answered, "He had some documents that needed to be handled, so he went early to campus for the papers." Listening to it, I nodded my head in an understanding manner. We walked together silently towards our campus. "I didn't have time to ask you before, but where are you from? You dont give me the feeling that you are from here." I asked Sanyara, to which she replied, "That's a weird way of judging whether someone is from here or not." I felt a little awkward, but then she continued, "Yes, I am not from here. I am from the distant city of Larima, which is not far away from this place. After the evaluation of being a normal human along with my brother, I was sent here for my further education." Understanding it, I pressed no further questions. We reached our classroom.
We were just in the middle of the lecture when a sudden announcement broke the suspense and concentration of the class. It was treated as important as the famous professor Silgar, who made a few appearances, but the few appearances he made were of utmost importance. Everyone was anticipating what the message was that had made Professor Silgar appear before us. Amongst all this, Arvyan asked me why there was an uproar for a message that was to be delivered by Professor Silgar. I said, and Sanyara also listened alongside Arvyan, "Professor Silgar is what we call the mediator. Messages are not important, but they are when it is being delivered by Professor Silgar himself." Listening to me, Arvyan raised his eyebrow and asked, "Aren't the situations from outside confidential? Moreover, all the information is kept secret and not shared with us, so how come he has the information regarding it?", "Well, he is a special person within this safe area who is stated here by the government officials to make us aware of the environment outside the safe area, and also the unfamiliar incidents taking place within this area," I said. Both siblings exchanged glances without anyone noticing. The time came, and Professor Silgar entered, a tall guy in his mid-40s, blindfolded, holding a book in one hand and a wooden cane in the other. Professor Silgar stated, "Situations remain constant outside without any notice of deterioration or upgradation. But the appearance of 2 voids within a span of a week in this safe zone has made a headline among the higher-ups, and a special team has been dispatched to take a look into this matter. Many of you may know the first one that made one of our students famous, being unaware of the second one, as it came for a brief moment and was cleared out. Citizens placed here with no powers will be unable to tell the latter gate. But with a twist of fate, there may be some individuals among us who know about this and the clearing of the void. So please do cooperate."
After the announcement, I was a little nervous, as there was involvement from my side, but I was not able to figure out why he emphasized the word cooperate. I am getting a little nervous, but I won't be revealing myself. I can't go around saying that I have made Vaelith, a monster from the first void( god knows his threat level), my friend, as people consider monsters from the voids their natural enemy. I dont want to be dragged into this mess. I will stay low untill things are sorted out. Not like I stand out that much.
