Sylas didn't reply immediately, mostly because as off-hand as Old Brama's comments had been back then, the Duchess' comments were far more qualified.
The memories of the Demons trapped in this place were very peculiar. But while many of the things that happened to their other iterations were very much suppressed, they still had important memories from their original world—some of them, at least.
The Sanguara were the most powerful Demon Race trapped here, so logically they should have the most in-depthinformation. This was especially so since their numbers were the fewest.
To deal with such a disadvantage in population, a monopoly on information was essential.
The exception, of course, was in a case of absolute power. But it had been so long since the Sanguara had birthed someone with True Blood that it was hard to believe that they would have been able to make it so far on power alone.
