Pompeii raised Gungnir and thrust it forcefully into the boy's body.
Pffft!
Blood blossomed from his chest.
Gungnir dragged the boy's body along, its violent force ripping through the ground like a sea dragon, crashing through the Iron Forest Lake's shore, dragging a fierce wind with it.
Then, taking Lu Mingfei with it, they vanished beyond sight.
"Lu…"
Before Xia Mi could even finish her word, the howling wind echoed.
Pompeii stepped forward, his eyes filled with murderous intent. Losing Gungnir didn't mean he was weak.
The same punch, but with completely different power.
Boom!
The energy exploded with a roar like thunder!
The terrifying punch, like a mountain-shaking tsunami, tore straight into the girl's chest without any resistance.
The air within several dozen meters was instantly stirred into a collapse, like a landslide. The sound of the explosion and the accompanying wind swept everything aside in an instant.
The dark blue dragon scales shattered inch by inch, and the girl was sent flying, faster than the eye could track, dragging waves of air, crashing into the ruins.
"Your turn, insect!"
Chu Zihang didn't even have time to mourn. His pupils contracted sharply, and it felt like a wave of cold air poured into his body, as if he had been struck with fear.
In a daze, he thought he saw a giant rising from the ground, surrounded by storms and thunder. As it swung its fist, immense power pressed down on him like the sky was about to collapse.
Chu Zihang felt his vision go black, as if the heavens were falling.
Boom!
It sounded like thunder striking from the sky, or like a meteor crashing to the ground.
Intense flames erupted from the punch, and the overwhelming power crushed everything in its path. The air seemed to be completely emptied.
I'm going to die!
I'm going to die!
Chu Zihang's mind screamed warnings, and instinctively, he twisted his body with all his might.
It was only a small difference, but that slight movement made the punch miss its vital spot. However, he still felt like his entire body was being torn apart.
His flesh shattered inch by inch, and his bones were crushed as if they were being ground into dust.
Bang!
The ground around Pompeii collapsed instantly, creating a crater.
The rushing winds scattered in all directions, as if they were mourning the unbearable weight, with dust and debris flying into the sky.
When the dust finally settled, Chu Zihang was unrecognizable, his flesh a bloody mess, barely clinging to the last bit of life.
Pompeii stood, withdrawing his fist. His gaze was indifferent, not even bothering to glance at Chu Zihang as he stepped over him.
"Am I going to die?"
Lu Mingfei, lying in the ruins, was pinned to the ground by Gungnir.
He could feel his life slipping away little by little, with his blood staining the ground, creating a tragic scene.
It's over. Pompeii is just too strong!
Lu Mingfei coughed up blood, and the scene before him blurred.
He could vaguely make out Pompeii approaching, a vicious and cruel smile on his face, as if he had finally released all the resentment he had been holding in.
"Sorry, Lu Mingze."
Lu Mingfei slowly closed his eyes, thinking in his mind, "Looks like I won't be able to avenge you."
He had already given it his all, but Pompeii was too powerful. So powerful that it felt hopeless!
Even with a two-hundred-fold increase in power, he was still as weak as a chick in front of Pompeii, easily crushed.
"Don't be afraid, big brother."
Lu Mingfei, on the brink of losing consciousness, suddenly heard a familiar voice beside him.
At first, he thought it was just an illusion and didn't pay it much attention. But the next moment, what he saw made his eyes widen, and he froze in place.
Time seemed to be paused, with the noisy dust, falling raindrops, and the rushing air all moving at a slow pace, as if everything had been slowed down by countless times.
In the dazzling lightning, a boy in a suit was smiling and walking slowly toward him.
"Is it really you?"
Lu Mingfei rubbed his eyes hard and then couldn't help but pinch his arm.
It wasn't until the pain response hit him that he realized it wasn't a dream. Tears immediately started to uncontrollably flow from his eyes.
"Wow~ Big brother, you're actually crying?"
The boy tilted his head, looking at him trying to wipe away the tears, and teased with a smile, "I didn't expect that I was so important to you!"
"No, no, stop talking nonsense! It's just... just sand in my eyes!" Lu Mingfei defended himself stubbornly, using his sleeve to wipe his tears away.
But his red eyes couldn't be hidden, and it only made his actions look even more awkward, like he was trying to cover up something.
"Hehe, I saw it all~ Big brother."
Lu Mingfei's brother, Lu Mingze, was as mischievous as ever, and his playful demeanor helped relax Lu Mingfei.
Now, Lu Mingfei was sure—it really was Lu Mingze, not some illusion or ghost.
"What happened? Do you know... I thought you... really died!" Lu Mingfei looked at the boy with resentment.
He truly believed that Lu Mingze had died, and he had been heartbroken, even prepared to die with Pompeii in a final act of desperation!
Thankfully, Lu Mingze was still alive!
There are many important things that you only realize how precious they are after you've lost them completely.
Lu Mingfei had a deep understanding of this now.
"I was really almost dead."
Lu Mingze sighed and shrugged. "If it weren't for Mr. 'Adam', you'd probably never see me again."
Actually, he wasn't lying to his dumb big brother; he really was on the verge of dying.
His 'strength' had been forcibly taken away, and just as his consciousness was about to fade, Mr. 'Adam' had intervened, helping him to reassemble his remaining consciousness.
After some recovery, he was finally able to show up at the critical moment.
"Ah, it was Mr. Adam. I knew it."
Lu Mingfei showed a look of realization but then nervously asked, "By the way, the situation is very tense right now. We can't defeat Pompeii. Can you ask Mr. Adam to help us?"
"That might be difficult." Lu Mingze immediately shook his head.
"Why?!"
Lu Mingfei's newly sparked hope was extinguished in an instant. He looked pained and asked, "Is it because he don't want to get involved?"
"No, it's because Mr. 'Adam' has more important matters!"
Lu Mingze's expression was serious as he raised his hand to point at the sky, his voice low and grave.
"Our enemy isn't just Pompeii. There are far more terrifying beings outside of Earth. If it weren't for Mr. 'Adam' keeping them at bay outside of Earth, this entire planet would likely be destroyed!"
"Outside... of Earth?!"
Lu Mingfei was shocked. He looked up at the sky in disbelief.
Though he couldn't see anything, it felt as if he could vaguely sense terrifying presences lurking in outer space, watching Earth with malicious intent.
"So, our mission is to defeat that guy."
Lu Mingze smiled.
"But... I'm going to die."
Lu Mingfei snapped back to reality and looked at Gungnir in his chest with a bitter smile.
"It's okay. I'm here."
Lu Mingze grinned, his voice light as he said, "This time, we'll defeat that guy together!"
"Can we really?"
Lu Mingfei asked.
"Of course! When brothers unite, they can break through anything!"
Lu Mingze smiled wide and said, "Do you know Super Saiyans? Even the mighty Frieza was defeated by a Super Saiyan!"
"I'm a Super Saiyan?"
Lu Mingfei's lips twitched.
"Not now, but you will be soon."
"100% Fusion"
Lu Mingze opened his arms and pulled the boy into an embrace.
In the depths of his golden eyes, there was an eternal majesty, as if he had crossed an abyss.
A voice from the ancient times echoed in his mind: "Go, my brother. Now you are a Super Saiyan. Defeat King Frieza and save the world!"
