Juniper
I spent most of the morning reviewing the fundraising proposal I had started after the conference. Vanessa Cole from Northbridge Capital had agreed to meet with me the following week, and I wanted to arrive with something substantial enough to keep her interested. It was the first opportunity I had secured without Orion's help, and I refused to let him undermine it.
Callie sat across from me, organizing the documents I had requested. She had a remarkable ability to remember information after seeing it once, and I was beginning to understand why hiring her had been one of my better decisions.
"These are the revised figures for the proposed development," she said, placing a folder on my desk. "I compared them with the estimates from last quarter, and there are some discrepancies in the projected construction costs."
I looked up from my laptop. "What kind of discrepancies?"
