[3rd POV]
Teleporting off, Gwen knew she had to teleport not to a physical location, but somewhere much more special. As convening with two cosmic entities on the scale and level of Infinity and Eternity was not something you just do casually on a planet somewhere.
You had to go somewhere special.
And in this case, it was a place known as "Overspace". It was a plane of existence that was incredibly unique, as it was "above" and "apart" from all other realities in the multiverse. It was this place that Gwen can convene with cosmic forces, not just Eternity. But also beings like Death, the Living Tribunal, and cosmic intelligences like the dominion which was...an entirely different thing.
It was also created by a previous iteration of the multiverse, the "Sixth Cosmos" who in simplest terms, is the previous iteration of Eternity, it was this iteration that had created science and things like that.
Just like the one before that made Magic. Or how a previous iteration was the Queen of Nevers in an old form, back when "She" identified as a "Man", gender is pointless to cosmic entities.
Or like how the first iteration made the Celestials, the third made heroes, and so on so forth.
Eternity was simply the newest version of them. And if Gwen absorbs him and Infinity, she would technically become the next. But unlike others, she will not age and die like Eternity eventually will.
No, she is eternal, she is immortal, and she cannot die. Not with how strong her adaption has become over the years. And not with her being the Queen in Black throughout the entire multiverse.
Standing within the "Overspace" which wasn't really a physical plane, Gwen waited. She knew that Eternity and Infinity were prepared for her, and she knew that they already had an idea about what she was going to ask of them.
She just hoped they would accept.
As if they didn't, that would make keeping her universe safe from the incursions and God Emperor Doom far far more difficult than otherwise. She would need to find a way to separate the universe from the rest of the multiverse before the incursions reach her universe.
It was possible, but it wouldn't be nearly as safe as the other option that she was wanting to do.
Gwen sat in the Overspace for a few more moments, before she watched as two forms began to materialize in front of her. Infinity and Eternity both formed in front of her, power rippling out of them as they stood across from her.
"You have been seeking us, Gwendolyn" Infinity spoke, as Gwen nodded as she looked into each of their eyes. They were currently about her size, so not all that big. Otherwise she'd be looking up or something.
"I have. Do you understand why it is that I have been looking for you this entire time?" Gwen asked, staring at them.
"...We have an idea, Gwendolyn" Infinity spoke, as her and Eternity stared back at the powerful woman in front of them. The woman that has risen to levels of power that was beginning to truly rival that of even the Living Tribunal.
Perhaps even surpass it. With the way she was reaching into every remaining universe, extending her control over the great symbiote hivemind. With her absorbing countless weapons into her very own symbiote that had become a weapon that can kill anything. And with her most recent events down in Yggdrasil, all of that adding up to make her an incredible powerhouse that was only continuing to grow every single day. And it wasn't by a small amount either, but by a lot.
"Then you know why it is that I wish to do it. And you know why it is important that you accept what I want to do. If I don't do this, then my universe will be that much harder to defend against the incursions that are coming. But if you accept then they will never be threatened again, and I will have that much more power in order to fight against who is coming" Gwen responded, staring at them as they glanced at one another silently.
"...You understand that what you wish to do will permanently change things, no?" Infinity asked, wanting to make sure that Gwen knew what she was actually asking of them.
"Of course. I know that by asking this I am basically asking to absorb both of you, for us to become "One" in a sense. And I know it is a lot to ask, but I also know that this is simply the easiest way to do it. As the other option will be a lot more difficult, and take a lot longer to accomplish" Gwen responded, already knowing everything about what she was asking.
She made sure to look into everything regarding this and what it entails in its entirety. And she knew that it was a lot, but she was confident that they would accept.
It was technically for their own safety, their own well being so that they can live. If they didn't they would die.
"It is quite the ask, Gwendolyn" Eternity said bluntly, as she nodded.
"I know it is. But I also think we both know that it is the only way for my universe to survive, which includes the eternity that makes up my universe. And I think you want to save it just as much as I do, even if that means I'll absorb that part into me, becoming one with me" Gwen responded once again, staring into their eyes as they both looked at one another.
They seemed to be having some sort of mental debate, talking with one another telepathically. Gwen could of course listen in if she truly wanted to, being the host of the Phoenix Force but she decided against it, as that wouldn't exactly look good on her part.
'They seem to be quite torn on whether or not they should accept, host' The Phoenix's voice echoed in her mind as she decided to sit down, waiting for them as they seemingly were in their own world at this point.
'That they are. But it's to be expected. They are cosmic entities just like you, and what I am asking of them is considered insane to most. But in their cases, it is a reasonable ask, and a proper one, considering they don't have any other choice if they wished to survive the incursions' Gwen responded inwardly, watching the two entities mentally speak to one another.
'You'd be surprised. Most of my "Siblings" can be quite the...uptight folk, I am considered one of the nicer members, and that is not exactly saying a lot' The Phoenix responded.
'You are surprisingly self aware'
'I'm a cosmic force, Gwen. I'd have to be a fool to not know what type of cosmic force I am' The Phoenix responded with what Gwen could only assume was a sort of mental shrug.
Gwen just chuckled at her response, finding it to be amusing.
'True. Ah, looks like they're finally done' Gwen replied to the Phoenix, as the two cosmic forces turned to her, their forms glowing ever so slightly brighter, as if their very power was reacting to the words that they were about to speak. And Gwen could only listen with a small smirk, as she heard the words they spoke, and those words were...
