[Chapter Size: 2300 Words.]
Third Person POV
Great Britain.
...
...
"Sev..." A voice called out to him while he stood in front of the lake.
Severus looked up and saw Lily Evans approaching. He had returned a few minutes earlier, and Lily had noticed it when she saw Severus sitting on a deck, looking thoughtful after returning to Great Britain knowing that in a few hours, a part of London would explode with the arrival of a massive comet.
He paused for a moment to breathe after all the action of the past few days, during which he had barely had any rest.
His eyes followed Lily as she approached him. "May I join you?" she asked.
He looked at her for a second and nodded in confirmation, and she settled beside him.
"You know... I was thinking about everything that's been happening..." she began while watching Severus in silence.
"Am I bothering you?" she asked uncertainly when she saw him remain silent.
"No, I stayed quiet so I could continue listening to what you have to say," he said.
She nodded. "I was thinking about how our world is upside down, Sev. We're in a safe place, but for how long will it stay that way, you know... Portals all over the world, monsters, and even that evil being who wants to destroy our world..." she murmured, hugging her knees.
Severus knew she was worried; everyone was. It was a normal reaction to what was happening.
"I'm sorry that all of this is involving the world..." Severus commented.
"It's not your fault... If you weren't here, those giants in Japan wouldn't have been stopped, right?" she said.
"..." Severus didn't say anything, only nodded his head. The monarch of the giants was already destined to come here anyway.
"These beings, you said in the reports that they move from world to world, killing all their inhabitants and creating new monsters from that, correct? Why do they desire something so evil? This is even worse than Voldemort."
"Because they are entirely evil. They were defeated in antiquity, so it's quite possible they're doing everything they can to regain their strength so they don't fall again... Unfortunately, countless worlds have already been consumed by them..." Severus said, sighing as he looked at the lake.
"Sev, are you sure you can defeat him?" Lily had heard that he could, but she wanted to hear it from him there, in a more private conversation.
"I believe so... But it won't be easy. I don't know the enemy, only their numbers, and I can win because I can resurrect their soldiers during the battle..." he said, without looking at Lily.
It was true. He couldn't say the situation was under control, because it wasn't. The battle would be an unknown test, and the greatest he had ever faced.
Only he could deal with the Ice Monarch while the world would have to retreat. And regardless of the outcome, all of London would be destroyed.
"And this will never stop, Sev... I mean, will others come after this? Will our world survive this?" Lily was very worried.
"I don't know, honestly... If this continues, this world will be destroyed," he said, sounding a bit thoughtful about it.
"I think I should leave this world..." he murmured at the end.
Lily stared at him, stunned. "What?!" She turned to him with trembling eyes.
"I don't know what will happen afterward, but I'm sure I'll draw the attention of the other monarchs... There are at least six more of them destroying worlds out there... Who can guarantee they don't already know that two monarchs are being killed in this world... I thought I could guard this world, protect it, but the next battle will be on a scale never seen before. What could come after that?" he said. That was why he had been standing there, deep in thought.
Perhaps, to preserve this world, he should go to where the monarchs are instead of waiting for them to come here, because if one already has five hundred thousand creatures, how many will the others bring with them...
"And your family, your fiancées, they love you." Lily looked at him with a plea that made even Severus meet her gaze with his purple eyes.
There was desperation in her green eyes.
"I don't want to do this, but can I stay here knowing that my presence could be the death of everyone?" Severus said.
"And what about me, Severus?" She squeezed his hand.
"Lily?" Severus saw her beginning to cry.
"I don't want you to go away," she murmured. "Not again. Not when I haven't been able to fix our relationship, when I still haven't managed to undo everything I did as a terrible friend..." she began to say as she continued to cry.
"That's in the past, everything is forgiven. It's not like I was a very good friend either; I even called you a Mudblood several times last year," he said.
"I know you didn't want anything with me, you only insulted me to make me push you away on purpose, but I deserved it too. I should never have acted the way I did toward you. I wanted to fix things with the Sev who's still in there..." she whimpered.
"..." Severus remained silent as she cried, looking down. He sighed and broke the silence.
"You don't need to act like this. Maybe these are some of the last times we'll be able to truly talk," he said, trying to lighten the mood.
"You're right, you're always busy or being called by everyone..." she murmured, wiping away her tears, and then squeezed the feminine hand that was still resting on him.
"I want to tell you something. That's exactly what I was thinking—maybe these are the last moments we can do anything here, even though I was expecting the world to end and not for you to be planning to leave... but I want to tell you this before I regret it..." She seemed hesitant, but kept her eyes on him.
Her hand slid from his and went to Severus's face, touching his cheek with a certain tenderness. "I don't want to interfere with your engagements. Maybe I no longer have my place among you... But if I still have a small piece of your heart, I wanted you to let me express what I feel for you," she said, still keeping her hand on his face in a delicate way.
"..." Severus looked at her; he knew Lily was in love with him.
"You cleaned away those artificial feelings when you gave me my first kiss..." She remembered that night when Severus removed the effect of the love potion placed on Lily, enhanced with phoenix tears to have lasting effects.
"But your potion never went away, because my feelings never went away... I... I love you." She said it and leaned toward him.
Severus did not move and felt her lips press against his. Severus ended up responding, slipping his tongue in, and Lily tried to follow as they kissed in front of the lake, alone, with a kiss that was certainly passionate.
A part of Severus wanted this too; he loved her more than his own life. He had given up on life when he saw that he could not have her.
He let that kiss go on, even though he shouldn't have. And they stayed like that for a while until Lily and he pulled a few centimeters away from each other.
She looked at him, keeping her hand on Severus's face while he looked at her the same way.
"That was good. It was much better than the last time." She gave a shy smile at those words. Severus agreed.
"But I want more, Sev..."
"You mean...?" Severus was surprised by that.
"I have no experience with this, but it may be the last time we can have a moment together... I want you to be the man to whom I give myself body and soul, because you are the one I love, and I will never forget you. Have this with me, I beg you." She seemed desperate.
Severus took her hand, and Lily thought he would let it go as soon as he removed it from his face. But Severus guided it down and touched her palm with his.
"You really want this?" he asked.
She shook her head with more intensity than she intended. Severus kissed her, pulling her to him, and Lily felt the scenery change; they were on a bed, but still in the village—after all, the atmosphere was the same. This was Severus's room.
He blocked all the entrances so no one would disturb or hear them. "If you want this, it's all right. A part of me always hoped to have your love," Severus admitted.
She nodded, receiving kisses as she returned them, and soon found herself being undressed little by little, with Severus accompanying her as they joined in gentle, calm sex. Lily was a virgin and had just lost it; Severus was quick to heal her, and soon they began to quicken the pace, with him on top of her, lifting one leg.
Lily moaned more than anything; she had never felt anything like it and let her body respond, wanting it more than ever.
Two hours later, Severus was sitting naked against the headboard of the bed, while his eyes returned to the girl sleeping peacefully in that bed. She looked exhausted, but with a smile on her face.
He thought he had overdone it; Lily wouldn't last long, but he used magic for her to recover, and they made love for hours.
"I got carried away, but I'm sure you should be the happiest man in the world right now, shouldn't you?" Severus asked himself.
The girl Severus loved had given herself to him saying that she loved him; he certainly should be happy.
Severus would include Lily among his fiancées at this moment, but now he didn't know if he would continue with that... He wanted to build his family, wanted to raise strong children who would inherit his powers and begin to create a new Order, starting on this planet...
But the Monarchs would never let that happen... He would have to stop them, and to do that he would leave the world.
He had to choose between what his heart wanted and the preservation of the world... His fiancées were powerful now by this world's standards thanks to the potions he had given them, but they were nothing more than ants when facing the Monarchs...
He could not continue with them; he could not take them to their deaths.
He didn't even know how to say this to everyone.
He would say it at some opportune moment. For now, he got up and created a spell that made his clothes materialize on his body, leaving the room and letting Lily rest.
He found Rosaria reading in the living room; she lived in his house, so it was a common sight.
"You're finally here... Did you have fun with the redhead?" she asked, and Severus raised an eyebrow at that.
"What?" It wasn't hard to notice—feeling you standing by the lake while she joined you, then suddenly you both disappear, and two hours later you leave your room, and if you hadn't used that wonderful spell of yours that cleans the body, I'd say you'd be reeking of sex." She said, and Severus snorted.
"It doesn't matter now... Let her rest," Severus simply said, and Rosaria shrugged.
"Anyway, call everyone. We have something to talk about," Severus said, and summoned the house-elves, who quickly alerted everyone.
Bellatrix was training with Paris and Regulus in the training area, others were at home, Pandora was hunting magical animals, and Clarisse was watering a garden she had started to prepare to pass the time there.
Severus then began to talk about his plan; he was heading to London to finally fight, reminding them of the emergency measures in case he didn't handle this enemy.
"Where is Lily?" Mr. Evans didn't fail to ask everyone, noticing his daughter's absence from the meeting.
"She's resting in my house, don't worry. She's fine," Severus told him, while he looked at him with a raised eyebrow but said nothing.
In any case, Severus continued with the final instructions and soon left the village.
He appeared on top of a building in Diagon Alley, in the middle of London.
The place was empty, and Severus read the report he had just received in the village stating that the comet was finally entering the planet's atmosphere in the next few minutes.
His gaze went to the sky as it shimmered.
The time had come.
Severus saw a light beginning to emerge, even during the day, standing out in the sky as it was white and blue.
The shadows behind Severus began to move in the next moment; it was time to welcome that Monarch.

Raccoon Here:
I set a direction once and for all for Snape and Lily's relationship, even if only for a moment. Severus no longer sees himself staying in that world, but there is something he can use to change everything. Either way, this will be the real battle of this story; after that, there will be a few more, and things will unfold toward the Chalice of Reincarnation. I do not intend to have Severus face all the Monarchs. You will see what will happen, but I'm excited to finally begin finishing this fanfic.
