"The next accusation is about the end of last year, when someone single-handedly attacked a nest of Acromantulas in the Forbidden Forest. Strangely, there were many aurors available at Hogwarts after the Hogsmeade massacre. One of them sensed some disturbances that night. The one identified as the attacker of more than a thousand Acromantulas and also of an old witch of the forest was the Hogsmeade killer, another identity people attributed to you, Severus Snape. Do you deny this?" she asked.
Severus just shook his head. "No. I don't deny it. That was done by me myself." he said, only not mentioning that Lily Evans was with him, when he attacked the nest precisely to gain experience before undertaking the main class mission and becoming a necromancer.
"Good, note that down as well." she said to the man who was recording everything about the accusations, while some reporters also immediately wrote down everything they heard, scribbling in their notebooks with each stroke of their pens or even using magical quills.
"After your fifth year ended and you returned home, there was an incident with dark wizards on a bus that night... Since you have a history of killing them, and it was on the way to your house, I ask you: did you have anything to do with the murder of three dark wizards inside a muggle bus?" she asked.
"Yes. We were ambushed, since my name, as Severus Snape, was already being hunted by pure-blood families, because I had beaten up some of their sons and relatives at school." Severus said casually, while watching the grimaces of some, even of others who looked at him with fear. Many of those who complained and wanted revenge against Severus at Hogwarts now discovered that he was a relentless and powerful killer. Fear struck them. The fear of becoming enemies of that figure.
"Note that down." said the chief, before turning back to Severus. "We also saw some reports from the muggle police. You had an encounter with your father in the middle of the year and also after the year, correct? Because here it says that he filed two police reports against you, claiming that you beat him up. But the local police only deduced that he was too drunk when there was no other evidence that it had been you."
"It's true. I beat him up twice." Severus replied without any resentment. He could see the look of disapproval from the headmaster, but he didn't care. "I also made him sign a document formalizing a separation from everything that would exist in the wizarding world. And I used the blood quill, the same one that toad woman there made me use because I was a half-blood." Severus said calmly while Dolores widened her eyes at hearing Severus speaking of her directly, with her sitting in the stands as well.
"Well... They say the man suffered several injuries, with broken bones and even a wounded hand, and because you used the blood quill. What exactly happened?"
Severus could have chosen not to answer that, yet he did. "I have no love for my father. I do not care what happens to him from now on. He has always been a useless drunk and, because of him, my mother was beaten to death. And there was no justice, since my uncles financed some members here at the Ministry of Magic to cover up the case, and he was released, unpunished." Severus began.
"How dare he say our ministries did such things!?" someone exclaimed, while Severus laughed.
"He is against the ministry! How can we let this man run free?!" Dolores was the one who shouted, afraid of Severus.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Severus started laughing at that moment, as if he found the best joke in the world there!
"Order! Order!" the supreme chieftain exclaimed, while Severus still continued laughing.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
"Mr. Severus, stop laughing and calm down." she said, but Severus kept laughing.
"Do you know what's funny?" He finally stopped, looking at everyone there. "It's that, even though you let my father go unpunished after he killed my mother, right after receiving a bribe from the Prince family, you still deny it. But let me tell you something... You can deny it, but if I find out that any of you were involved in my mother's killer not being punished..." Severus said, staring at the audience, while his eyes began to shine.
Suddenly, his aura began to expand and everyone became immensely frightened as the whole place started to tremble, while the magical pressure rose.
"I do not care who you are, your families, who protects you, or the organizations you belong to. Understand one thing: if you are involved in this, I will finish you." Severus said, while the place continued trembling. Even the shadows were agitated beneath their feet, reflecting the king's wrath.
"Order!" The supreme chieftain was quite nervous. She had never felt anyone with so much power. Now she understood what the reports wanted to say: how dangerous this man was. All the accusing wands pointed at him, but one could not help noticing the shaking in everyone. The people in the audience were terrified, with screams and exclamations, asking to leave or for someone to stop him. But Severus soon began to calm his aura, returning to a cold and serene look.
"Well, I will leave that for later. But I will investigate and make all those involved in this pay, one way or another." Severus said, threatening them without any shame.
"He's mad! He's threatening us!" someone pointed out, seized by fear.
"This is madness! Someone stop this man!" another shouted.
"Calm down, everyone!" Vicência's booming voice echoed again. "Let's first continue with the trial. We want to see all the old accusations, one by one, and only after that will there be a sentence, whether to declare him guilty or innocent. Let's hear the whole status quo before making any decision." she said, while beginning to gather more papers.
"Anyway, let's look at the next events in which Severus was involved. As you know, there was a commotion some two months later. While the Mysterious Alchemist had already been identified, a battle was fought, beginning inside his potion shop. It was identified that this fight was against Dumbledore and Severus, before us. You also confirm that the shop was yours, correct?" she said, ignoring Dumbledore at her side, who also claimed that the potion shop was his.
"The shop was indeed mine. And yes, we had a fight, Dumbledore and I." Severus replied.
"Dumbledore said it was for some reason that he was taken to another place, which he refuses to reveal. But can you tell us exactly what happened?" She found an opportunity to learn what had happened with Dumbledore.
"We had a battle when I discovered some things that angered me to the point of casting deadly spells. Our fight began in Diagon Alley and ended at my house, on the west coast of Great Britain. As you may already know, in the end he was imprisoned for something that neither I nor he had control over in the middle of the battle." Severus said, while glancing with a certain gleam at Steve Vujin, in the upper stands.
Vujin had not moved a single inch, nor shown fear before any magical explosion or the deadly look of Severus. He continued with a calm expression, as if he were dealing with a child. Perhaps...
This man was none other than the one who had given him the ring to control his aura and, somehow, had saved his very life from Dumbledore at the time.
"Alright, note that down. Let's move on to the next event. There was an attack by an Acromantula on a student, which resulted, that same night, in countless soldiers, according to witnesses, made of shadows destroying all the Acromantula nests throughout the Forbidden Forest, next to Hogwarts. All evidence points to you." she said.
It was obvious: any strange event that happened, Severus was in the middle of it. And now, he had the shadows.
"Yes. It was I who did that, since the Acromantulas had sided with Voldemort. So, they could no longer be alive." Severus said. After all, one of them had killed a muggle-born boy, and he had been enraged when that happened. He personally made sure to destroy all the nests and had committed an unprecedented extermination.
"The next event happened in the city, and that was one of the highlights of the war. You yourself summoned countless shadows and spread them through the city, devastating all the death eaters, other dark wizards, and even werewolves. But, strangely, you did not attack any muggle or auror who was fighting. According to the report, at the time, the former Minister of Magic was together with the British muggle Prime Minister, dealing with Voldemort's mass attack, and you appeared."
"Yes, it's true. When I learned what was happening, I went straight there to help." Severus said.
"The other event that happened was that you entered Lady _____'s portrait, after winning the tournament at Durmstrang Institute. Which is no surprise, given your feats. Beating a few teenagers seems to have been quite easy." she mocked.
"I admit, it was very easy." Severus replied with an ironic tone, before continuing. "And it's true. I entered the portrait and stayed there for a month."
"After that, there were the events that followed your accusation in public newspapers, saying that you had the identity of the mysterious Alchemist and the Hogsmeade killer. Later, there was the kidnapping of the muggle-born Lily Evans, and you went after her, entering into direct conflict with Voldemort, which resulted in the death of more than forty Death Eaters. Your battle spread through London and reached here, at the Ministry of Magic, before they launched a final attack outside this building." she said.
"Yes, I was involved in all of that." Severus confirmed.
"Great, note that." she said, before turning again to Severus. "Anyway, with all these questions about the events you were or were not involved in... But you practically admitted to all of them. Is there anything else we should know?" she asked.
"No. I had a little thing here, another there, but nothing that draws attention. However, I did not get involved with any attack on muggles. Please, accuse me of many things, but never of having killed a muggle. I didn't even do that with my father, and the bastard deserves it..." Severus said calmly, almost mocking them.
The chieftain and many others did not like his words, but they could not say anything more, as she struck the gavel once more, interrupting the whispers around the court.
"Well, we already have an idea of the events you took part in. Now, let's just move on to a few questions and then we'll begin to give our sentence. Let's begin, then." she said, as all of the Supreme Court of Wizards raised their firm gaze.
Severus would begin to hear his own sentence after a few questions.
