[KIYOMI]
Kiyomi couldn't think straight.
"She loved you without even knowing what love was."
That sentence kept repeating itself in her head like it was something that she needed to focus on. It was strange what such a little thing could do to her, but now here she was, standing at the door to her main chambers.
The chambers that had the love of her life behind them.
She could smell Sakura's unsettled citrus even as the woman slept, and Kiyomi felt terrible for her. She had masked her scent when she had walked back through the halls of the Kimura manor.
But even she knew that Sakura would always see her presence.
And when she pushed the door one gently, careful not to make a sound, she wasn't shocked to see Sakura staring at the door, tears on her face like this was the worst possible thing that could have happened to both of them.
The distress was obvious, and the apologetic look on Sakura's face was Kiyomi's undoing.
