And for a moment, Otaru considered listening to the woman and letting her have Lola.
The stakes for their mission were high and this was a risk that sounded actionable. But there was a problem with that. Despite the risks that were bound, Otaru knew that Tsuki was a platter of endless scales.
Tsuki never committed to her targets.
She and Sakura were similar in one too many ways and the risk of letting the palace messenger be at the beck and call of the most unstable woman after the queen was not appealing.
It was not fair to begin with and it made Otaru wonder if there was ever going to be a chance for them. He could see the worry on the koala's face and the realization that the stakes were a little too high for either of them to let this shit go.
