Elise-"Hey Marigold, you still awake?"
Marigold-"Yeah, what's up?"
Elise-"Do you notice the difference in the air?"
Marigold-"The what?"
Elise-"The air, it seems a little bit heavier when I'm smaller. Did you notice it get lighter when you were bigger?"
Marigold-"Um, no I don't think I noticed anything like that"
Elise-"It's only very slight, I think Julius mentioned something about that at one point. Air being denser the smaller you are or something"
Marigold-"Oh right, he said that about insect flight. About those tiny fairy flies I think"
Elise-"Which ironically have nothing to do with fairies"
Marigold-"I'm surprised you were able to notice any difference since we're still a foot tall"
Elise-"Sharper senses, comes with being a warrior and all that"
Marigold-"So, were you just wanting to talk about the air?"
Elise-"It just crossed my mind, I figured I would forget about it if I didn't bring it up now"
Marigold-"Oh okay, well if that's all-"
Elise-"Well there was one other question I wanted to ask you"
Marigold-"What is it?"
Elise-"What do you think of Julius?"
Marigold-"What? Well he's-"
Elise-"Cause it's pretty obvious he likes you"
Marigold-"I- well, yeah"
Elise-"So you noticed?"
Marigold-"I mean, I felt like he probably did"
Elise-"What about you? Do you like him?"
Marigold-"Why are you trying to gossip like a teenager?"
Elise-"I know, I know. But do you?"
Marigold-"Well, I think so"
Elise-"Then how come you haven't said anything?"
Marigold-"Well, the Kaiju Archipelago wasn't exactly a good place for confessing feelings. I assume that's why he didn't say anything either"
Elise-"So what is it that you like about him? Cause I know it's not appearance"
Marigold-"That's rude"
Elise-"...He's a floating blue dot"
Marigold-"...Fair, I guess I like how smart and caring he is"
Elise-"I'm sure that's probably the same thing he'd say about you"
Marigold-"You think so?"
Elise-"Yeah, hey so now that we're not on the Kaiju Archipelago anymore, you don't have that excuse to not tell him"
Marigold-"I guess I don't do I"
Elise-"Nope... ah dang it"
Marigold-"What?"
Elise-"I have to go to the bathroom now, ugh and I've already been laying in bed for over an hour"
Marigold-"It's down to the left. Also don't forget to use the smaller one unless you want to go find Julius to grow you back to your original size"
Elise-"Yeah I know"
Elise hops out of bed while wearing pajamas. She walks over to open up the door of their room. When she opens the door she sees the forest around them. When she looks back at the wall of the room from the outside she notices that their room is invisible.
Elise-"...what?"
Hooded figure 2-"The elf girl is awake!"
Hooded figure 1-"I knew we should have had Enel with us for his sleep skill"
Hooded figure 2-"He was busy, and don't say our name's out loud you imbecile!"
Elise-"...Marigold, I think we're being kidnapped"
Marigold-"Wait, what?"
Hooded figure 2-"You should have just stayed in bed. Medical skill: bisection"
The hooded figure creates multiple slashes directed at Elise. She quickly dodges the slashes and leaps up to the hooded figure's head.
Hooded figure 2-"What-"
Elise punches the hooded figure in the side of the face. Despite Elise being much smaller the punch is still powerful enough to launch the hooded figure into a nearby tree with enough force to knock the tree over.
Hooded figure 1-"She has that much strength?"
Elise lands on the ground and starts running towards the other hooded figure. Despite her small size she is running at a very fast speed.
Hooded figure 1-"Cloaking skill: invisible self"
The hooded figure becomes invisible.
Elise-"Evolved skill: solar beam barrage, tracking style"
Elise fires off several beams of plasma that track the enemy by their heat signature. The attacks land and knock down the hooded figure. The hotel room falls down to the ground since the levitation skill was cancelled.
Marigold-"What happened!?"
Marigold comes running out also in her pajamaes.
Elise-"Don't worry I took care of them"
Marigold runs over and sees the hooded figure slumped over unconscious.
Marigold-"Hold on, that's... the hotel receptionist!"
Elise-"We need to get back to the hotel."
Marigold-"Agreed"
Hooded figure 2-"Not so fast!"
The hooded figure with the bisection and levitation skills was standing back up with their hood removed.
Marigold-"That guy, he's the one I met on the beach"
Hooded figure 2-"I can't let you two get away, I can't afford to fail again-"
A beam of light suddenly shoots through the air impaling the hooded figure's chest causing him to slump over.
Elise-"I just felt a big spike of mana"
Elise and Marigold look in the direction the light beam came from. A young man with a mix of brown and blond hair walks out of the shadows. He is covered in blood and bruises but has a high amount of mana around him.
Prince Magnus-"Got another one of you freaks. I told you you'd pay for messing with me"
