Chapter 2 - Chapter 2- The Freshman Ceremony.

A while later, the freshman ceremony began.

Students, tall and short, chose their seats. A row of chairs that seemed to stretch on forever was set in the wide school hall.

After a series of events including; the school headteacher's speech, introduction of the teachers and staff, senior student representatives' speech, freshmen's oath and the lots, took place.

A lean and tall teacher, who was also the emcee, held the mic, adjusting his double lens glasses.

When he was done, he tapped the mic twice before breaking into a smile.

He mentioned the next segment of the program, introducing the freshmen representative; Li Feng Xi, Fredrick Li.

" Put your hands together as Feng Xi comes up the stage to give his orientation speech" his voice filled with pride at the name of the mentioned student.

Soon, an inaudible clap from the bored students echoed in the hall.

Creak! As he mounted the stage; the soft sound of his steps, measured and even echoed through the hall, each landing with a soft thud on the polished floor.

The rustle of his uniform, the creak of his white shoes and the soft whoosh of air as he moved spoke intelligence and confidence in every language, but that's not the most eye-catching thing about him.

Fredrick's looks are flawless, like mind-blowing flawless.

Picture a masterpiece of chiseled features and radiant skin, leaving the students, who were expecting a nerdy-looking nobody, speechless and awestruck.

Their eyes were stretched with wonder and admiration as they drank the sight of him.

The air around the girls especially seems to vibrate with a collective gasp. A soft "wow" rippled through the air like a whispered secret.

His long, athletic legs, clad in the school uniform's pants, seemed to embody a militant-esque look. The fabric hugged his muscles, accentuating his thighs and calves that spoke of hours spent in rigorous training.

His narrow waist, clinched by the uniform's belt, gave way to slim yet broad shoulders that seemed chiseled, he radiated an effortless idol-like charm that made hearts flutter and skip beats.

He stood before the standing microphone on the stage, the sun rays streaming through the top windows seemed to notice his good looks and shone on him, casting a warm glow over his features.

It was as if time stood still at that moment, he was as beautiful as an angel.

When he smiled, his lips curved upward, a radiant arc that seemed to light up the entire room.

The corner of his eyes arched, and a perfect set of white teeth gave a show.

The air around him was relaxed and confident, giving him a warm, approachable quality that made everyone feel like they were the only person in the room.

He stood on the stage reading his speech, the freshman orientation speech, becoming the center of attention.

As he continued in his speech, his eyes set on everybody and nobody, "… Fellow classmates, we're in this together, and I'm excited to see what we can achieve as a team.

"Let's make our mark on this school and create memories that will last a lifetime. Don't be afraid to take risks and try new things- it's often the best way to discover your true potential" "

His voice in the microphone was a clear, deep, melodic hum like an intoxicating wine, that made them feel delighted the more they listened.

The students were now surely captivated by his charisma and enthusiasm.

"Ah! Fredrick Li is too handsome," a girl sighed dejectedly.

"I think I'm in love," another girl purred, her head in her palms.

"His voice is like a morning wind in the meadow, my heart can't take it" a girl from the back put her hand over her chest and sobbed dramatically.

"Li Feng is just too… I've never seen a boy so gorgeously handsome expect on TVs"

The girls started to comment among each other. They looked at Fredrick, who obliviously continued his speech with heart eyes.

"Don't you think he's good-looking?" Amy asked Delilah, who she noticed has been staring unwittingly at Fredrick.

"H~Huh?" Delilah turned to her, she didn't hear what Amy said.

Amy raised a questioning brow, "You already like him that much?" She couldn't help teasing.

Delilah's eyes circled, a crimson blush popped up on her cheeks "No, I…I just"

She bit on her lower lip the moment she realized she couldn't deny it. She does find Fredrick cute and… maybe nice.

She looked like a teenager-in-love, who was caught red-handed with a love note.

Amy's jaw nearly dropped as she stared at her. This girl has almost never been moved by a boy before, but here she was blushing insanely, things might just turn interesting, hehe!

"Tsk! That guy…." She shook her head with a chuckle. Amy looked around, nearly all the girls seemed love-struck. He just can't stop stealing hearts wherever he goes, can he?

" You know… he was my good friend?" Amy stated, her eyes staring blankly into space.

Delilah turned to her, her eyes wide as saucers, asking a million questions at the same time.

Amy, seeing her unbelieving expression, frowned, "You don't believe me?" she pried as she rested her back against the seat, seemingly bored.

Delilah shook her head, it wasn't like that. Of course, she believed Amy.

She only became curious seeing her zoning out, which was really unlike her. Could there be more to it?

Meanwhile, as the ceremony continues…

The students who had just returned in groups from their guided tour around the school campus, led by seniors, took their seats.

The evening entertainment began to unravel, Su Zhe Jin, Harrison Su, invited by the teacher, strode to the stage.

The buzzing hall suddenly fell dead silent, as an ominous chill descended like a cloudy storm.

It felt the room was suddenly enveloped in a dramatic, swoon-worthy aura - think "Mafia Boss Meets Dark Romance Novel Cover Model"

His long legs eating up the distance with a confident yet slothful, unhurried stride.

His presence, dark and domineering, invokes an aura that shouts 'Here comes the boss!', was like a punch to the gut, leaving the girls gasping for air as they took in the sight of him.

Harrison's tall, fitted figure was imposing yet sleek, like a panther's. His drool-worthy, chiseled jawline seemed to be carved from the finest, best, experienced hands.

Siren eyes gleamed like polished onyx, cold and unyielding as if it could freeze water at 50 paces.

He swept the audience with a bored, uninterested gaze that seemed to touch each person individually.

His presence was undeniable, exuding an air of quiet intensity, vibrating with an aura of power, like the low-key growl of a predator sizing up its prey.

He seemed to blend perfectly with the night.

Girls almost fainted, torn between passing out from fear and swooning from admiration.

Their minds race with immature thoughts like; "He's so intimidating, I think I'd die if he smiled at me… but wait, I'd die if he didn't smile at me too!"

It was like their hormones were playing a game of 'Mafia prince' or 'Fairytale Heartthrob?' (Spoiler alert: Harrison was the clear winner in the 'Who Can Intimidate You with a Single Glance' Category).
