Chapter 67 - Ordinary Life, Ordinary Days…

Birds chirped outside, heralding a brand new day. The sun's light barely filtered through the closed curtains, casting a dim glow across the room.

Suddenly, a loud, vibrating sound broke the stillness—it was Ewaan's alarm ringing on his phone.

The clock read 6:00 AM, but Ewaan was already awake, sitting on his bed with his legs hanging over the side. His old, modern, and well-furnished room surrounded him, yet confusion clouded his face as he scanned his familiar surroundings.

He grabbed his phone and turned off the alarm, staring at the time and date. 6:01 AM, November 9th, the day of his 17th birthday. Furrowing his brows, he kept glancing at his phone's black screen, which reflected his puzzled expression.

He stood up and slowly approached the balcony patio door, sliding open the curtains.

The view outside was filled with sleek, modern buildings, many detached houses, duplexes and even tall condos and apartments. Their glass facades gleaming in the early morning light.
