"You don't need to say anything more man, just make sure that you don't mess up the return spell" Karna made a joke to diffuse the situation and went away, leaving Mystogan with hope for his World's future development.
Karna then met up with the counterparts of the Fairy Tail members in this world. It seems like there was no Karna in this world and the Fairy Tail members also attested to it. Karna was not surprised by it like the others and just enjoyed the interactions between different people. Seeing Natsu trying to wring out the secret to have no motion sickness from his counterpart is really funny to watch.
It wasn't long before finally the spell for removing everyone from this world was activated.
"Woah, you guys are leaving so soon" Edolas Lucy asked in shock seeing everyone flickering from this existence.
"Yeah, good luck to all of you in your future" Makarov kindly told the guildmembers as he felt himself vanishing. He had a feeling that his Edolas counterpart was the king and not the guild master. So he had mentored a few kids in the last few days.
As the people of Edolas watched, wisps of magic flowed from throughout their world towards the skies. They were told that this would be happening soon, but for many the reality had not hit until they saw it with their own eyes. Many were worried about their future as well.
The only good news some of them considered was the fact that they won't have to face the Exceed queen anymore. Their supposed power to make people die had made them live in fear for all these years. And there were many among the Exceeds who had treated the humans as an inferior species and had flaunted their own superiority.
Even though they are not even strong as the said humans, because of the fake confidence the kingdom's queen showed to the humans, they became very arrogant, making the life of quite a few humans extremely difficult. They become disillusioned with the fact that they were gods even though they never had any such ability.
Though that changed in the last few days. When Carla said that they were programmed, the misunderstanding due to her not realizing her future sight ability. The Fairy Tail members were angry at the way their friends are manipulated. They stormed to the exceed's island and beat the crap out of every single Exceed, revealing that they never had any control over death.
And right now, they were glad to leave Edolas. If the people ever find out that they were powerless, they might had to live in fear of facing the retaliation from the humans they had looked down on before.
Karna looked at Edolas one last time. He had no idea that he will ever have the ability to come back here again. But he hoped he could.
When finally the transfer was over and he opened his eyes, he found out that he was back in Magnolia again. Currently on the top of the Magnolia church with a few confused locals as well.
"Oh, shit" Karna realized what happened. In the original timeline, other than a few members of the guild, the rest were still in the form of Lacrima, so they were directly placed back to where they were supposed to be when Anima was reversed. And only the few who were broken out of the Lacrima and the Exceeds had appeared in the nearby forests. But this time, they had reversed every single Lacrima crystals, due to which when the were transferred out, they were randomly placed back in the space where the town had stood before. That might explain why the church which was near to the center of the city was right now within the borders of the town.
Karna immediately pushed his senses to its absolute limit to cover the entire town and found out that the life signs of people who were transported were alright.
Thankfully, it seems like every living being was transported after the non living objects were transported first. So there were no misfortunes of people being trapped under or in between buildings.
Karna was also able to sense the presence of the council's knights who were currently entering the city with Warrod right behind them. They were confused at first with the change of city structure from the map they had on their hands, but was able to adapt quickly due to their experience in dealing with unexpected situations.
"Nice to see you kid, though its interesting that you ended up here when we we detected you fighting something strong on the former R tower location" It did not take long for Warrod to find him on top of the church.
"Yeah" Karna chuckled "Do I have to give a report on that"
"Seeing that the fluctuations detected by the council reached the levels of the ten wizard saints, then yes. We want a detailed report by tomorrow at the latest" Warrod replied back without blinking while at the same time used his plant magic to carefully help the citizens climb down from the roofs without any problems.
Karna groaned as he hated the paper works more than anything. The main problem will be to explain why he knew that demons were appearing in that place. He might be able to say that he had detected something during the R system mission and had left a mark for detection, but the council will still give him a hard time over it when he presents the report.
"Just give me some time old man, I have a lot of things to deal with about the Edolas affair. Plus Earthland will see a great increase in the Exceed population since every single one of the otherworld had come along with us to this one"
"Well, I did detect a cluster of those life forms nearby. Guess they were exceeds huh. When the first Exceed was found, the council was in a slightly tense situation as they were never able to find its origin other than the fact that a lot of eggs had appeared overnight All throughout Ishgar. It feels good to finally have an answer to that" Warrod muttered while watering a potted plant nearby the church.
