Karna had no idea what to do right now. His mouth was still wide open as he listened to everything that Cana told him right now.
"Cana what do you mean by this?, this…this" Karna was about to continue but Cana pinched his mouth shut.
"Right now, we are going to go home. I have told you about my decision and I will tell Ultear about it later as well. Whatever happens after that is your responsibility. I'm going to help Mystogan complete the spell to send us back home. Make sure to rest up alright" Cana said and kissed Karna's cheek before going out of the room.
Karna was stunned at the way she just declared it and went out. After calming down, he realised another factor. After telling him about all of this, Cana seemed to have become less stressful than she appeared at the start of the problems in the last few days, even more relaxed since the incident with the Thunder Palace Lacrima.
Suddenly he turned around as the door opened again. He watched as Ur come inside the room.
"Alright kid, why don't you go to meet the others who still don't know about the fact that you are alive. I will take care of Ultear for now" Ur said as she gently picked up Ultear from Karna's lap.
"Uh…Ur" Karna didn't know what to say to her at the moment.
"Hahaha, your expression is so priceless right now you know. Makes me feel a bit regretful that I forgot to take a camera while coming here" Ur laughed seeing Karna struggle to form words. "I got an idea about what Cana might have said. Well, it's you youngster's life, so make sure to have no regrets alright" Ur said with a smile as she took Ultear away. Leaving Karna to handle his emotions on his own.
After a few more minutes, Karna decided that he was wasting his time thinking about it and stood up to meet Mystogan, seeing that the chances of them meeting again are really low. Plus he can also help Mystogan in many ways.
"Hey Mystogan, how are you, or should I call you Jellal right now?" Karna said with a chuckle.
Mystogan flinched and then sighed in defeat. He did not even sense a trace of Karna as he appeared behind him. He knew this was the long tradition of revenge Karna has been enacting on him for a long time. One-time Mystogan used the sleep spell to quietly come into the guild, he had tried to put Karna to sleep as he did not know who Karna was at the time. Seeing that his ordinary sleep spell was not affecting him like it affected the others, he concentrated even more magic onto Karna who was just sitting there. To this, Karna just slowly turned around and spoke.
"You are gonna pay for that" Karna said with a wide-eyed smile that brought a few nightmares to Mystogan. Ever since that day, Karna has been erasing his presence and appearing suddenly to startle Mystogan every time he was in Magnolia or near to any place where Karna was doing his mission.
You would think that he would get used to being startled after a few times, but no such luck. Every time he thinks he was used to it, Karna will use a different tactic to scare him even more. This has gone for so much long that Jellal began to feel as if his hair was slightly greying due to stress.
"How many times do I have to say sorry for what I did. Can you please stop?" Mystogan asked as he felt even more tired while doing so.
"Well, chances are after today, I won't be able to scare you anymore. So I was thinking about doing a last scare tactic before I say goodbye with the others" Karna said with a straight face.
Mystogan smiled.
"I won't deny that you will miss me when I stay back in my home world. But I know you Karna, you won't come here unless you have something specific you have to say to me"
"Well, what do you know. And I thought you were an low EQ introvert who was using his face as an excuse to not meet anyone" Karna said as he took out a few parchments he had created on the way.
"I'm pretty sure you will be forced to use the resources of the world to recreate society after magic completely disappears. But with this, you will be able to skip the pollution phase to renewable resources phase."
After Karna got the technological info from the MHA world, he had not been idle. He had use that information and compared it to the technological levels of the current era and had created many ways he can develop them with what he had in his hand.
He knew that Edolas will move towards steam engines after losing of magic. But Karna also knew how beautiful this world was and did not want it to be filled with toxic smoke that can kill people. So he decided to push this world forward. Plus this world lacked the corporates in the old world that can hold back the development of new technologies.
The plans Karna gave him were created from the technology that was atleast two hundred years ahead of his old world. So Edolas will be able to build back to its prominence quickly if they worked hard for it.
With Mystogan's analytical skills, it did not take him long for him to come to the same conclusion.
"This…this… this is priceless. Karna… I" Mystogan managed to croak out in shock.
"Now, now. Don't make it overly sentimental or something. This can also help you to cement your power as king. If your subjects know that their king was smart enough to create enough these items for them, you don't have to fear for any rebellion or any such problems in the future" Karna said as he remembered the old king being thawed out of the ice by a group of soldiers who had received permission from Ur who was still taking care of Ultear.
"But I" Mystogan still wanted to speak but Karna stopped him.
