Everyone sits in silence for a long time. Essence is burning his head to figure out any solution to this. But none come to thought. If they fight now, there will be heavy casualties. Essence looks at Cinder asking for help but finds Cinder and Rocky waiting for his word. Essence shuns them with and anger glare. Raghav speaks up "Want to hear about the previous encounter we hand with them?". They nod in agreement. Raghav explains what happened.
We now see someone running as fast as they can. it's a small child. its eyes full of tears. it's being chased by Mutated dogs. he stood no chance against such agile beasts. The only reason the child was even able to escape was because the pack were busy eating someone else. One of them jumped in front of the child. It stops and tries to back, but his legs give out. His tears blur his vision and his throat sore from all the crying. Slowly the rest of the pack also surrounds him. He quickly wipes his tears trying to find a way out. However, what he sees makes him lose all hope. It was a Hand. Not just any hand, it was his mother's hand. The monster was covered in the blood of the one who gave birth to him, who cared for him, who loved him. he felt anger but it was overshadowed by fear. He even stopped crying out loud. He accepted his death and closed his eyes. Instead of being bitten apart. He heard the sound of metal hitting ground. It sounded quite close to him as when he opened his eyes, A great sword shimmering with light with struck into the ground. The dogs backed up after the sword pierced the ground and started barking at it. Then a hero next to the blade. He was coved in Armour Shinning like the sky during sunrise. His hair waved in the wind of his landing. He stood up and pulled out his sword from the ground. He approached the child with slow yet heavy steps. Yet the child didn't feel fear or a threat. He picked up the child and asked, "Are you hurt?" The child shook his head. The heroic man caresses the hair of the child, and it falls asleep his shoulder from exhaustion and stress. The man points his sword at the barking dogs. He speaks "tone it down. The kid needs some rest." The dogs continue to bark. The Hero sighs and throws the great sword like it's nothing. It sliced through the first one as if it was nothing. The Hero gestured the sword towards the rest, and the sword followed his command. He killed 5 mutated dogs without a sweat. The killers of more than a hundred lives were brough down by one man all alone and his strength so boundless he could slay a hundred like them. The hero walked towards the rising sun as a life was resting on his shoulder. a small rat tried to escape but he threw his sword, and it slit the small one apart. His name engraved on the blade welded by him and him only. The Chosen One. Kibo.
Coming back to Essence and Cinder. Cinder is shocked at the sheer strength and ferocity of the beasts. Essence didn't stop his thoughts. He can feel there is a way to come out of this with minimal or no losses. But it requires time. In time, he hears a familiar whistle. It was indeed bronzy. it was being chased by a few birds. Raghav stopped them and bronzy landed on Essence's arm. He had a note in his mouth. While Essence was opening it Bronzy flew off somewhere and Cinder asked, "Why don't you just call back home?" Essence pointed to his phone with was broken. Raghav also added "there is no signal as well. Maybe a Wi-Fi call could go through." Essence rejected his idea "No, I'm pretty sure it would have been taken down first as cutting of communications is the oldest trick in the book yet quite effective." "The dragons must be quite smart if they can aim for communication." Raghav added cluelessly. Cinder was about to correct him, but Essence stopped Cinder. Raghav saw Essence trying to hide something. Essence changed the conversation and asked, "Where exactly are those beasts hiding?" Raghav pushed away the thoughts and answered Essence. After the explanation Essence, Cinder and Rocky walked ahead to where their area ends and from where the beasts rule. They jump and run like wanna be ninjas. they were so bad at it, A leopard comes to them and attacks Cinder. Cinder throws something at the leopard. Even the leopard was startled but then it saw it was Red in colour and had a string. It was a firecracker but unlit. Cinder fixed the unlit part and used his new theomancy to light the string on fire and jumped back dodging the attack. The cracker barely did anything, but it made the beast fear them. They were standing in an intense standoff. The leopard let out a ferocious meow. Cinder saw an opening and threw a few more scaring the beast away. Essence and Cinder took a breath of relief. Essence asks Cinder "how did u light that thing?" Cinder lets out a huge grin and explains "I mastered this ability. What I learned is I can either use my mana to make the sphere hotter or make the sphere bigger. They are inversely proportional to each other." He made a small sphere in between his hands. Essence looked at it and then looked at Cinder, then grabs him by his head "Pretty impressive hottie." They go up and returned to Rahgav. Raghav was angry on them and lashed out on Essence. They both noticed Cinder was weirdly quiet. Essence asked him "Yo bro. Why so quiet? Did something happen?" Cinder's face had a hint of worry "Nah I just feel weird." "Do u want to take a sh!t?" Essence questions shamelessly. "bi**h @ss I only sh!t once a day. I just feel like i'm missing something." Cinder scratched his head while speaking. Essence wanted to shrug it off like it was nothing, but then he his eyes lost its shine, and he shouted, "DUDE WHERE IS ROCKY?" Cinder jumped in fear "BRO DON'T TELL ME WE LEFT HIM IN THE TIGER'S DEN!" Essence made a disgusting smile "I see what you did there. The saying goes lion's den but you cha-" Cinder ran off to save Rocky. Essence soon followed behind with Raghav and the monkey. Essence asked an important question "Why don't you just use Call?" Cinder replied "Rocky needs to be able to hear and see me for it to work. trust me I tried. and the author probably added this for plot reasons." Essence didn't ask another thing after that.
They both reached where they started. But the sight left them speech less. Rocky was on the ground. He had a big bite mark on his face, and his left eye was gone. Blood oozed out of its belly then dripped through its 4 paws. It was a miracle that he survived. However, for Cinder, it felt it a curse to see his friend like that. Cinder ran towards him and enveloped him in a tight hug. Cinder never cried. It was not like him to cry. But right now, he couldn't help himself. Essence slowly walked at his pitiful friend. However worse the world maybe. They had to move on. Then Essence saw Rocky was trying to point at something. His eyes which should be of peace after dying in his friend's arms was instead of fear. After giving it a few seconds of thought. Essence pulled out his weapon from his inventory and shouted out loud, "AMBUSH. IT'S A TRAP." Rahgav jumped behind the monkey in fear. Then a large group of beasts came out of hiding. The bear almost 8 feet tall, 3 hyenas who are unnaturally fast, 4 crocodiles and 3 alligators that look like small Kajus and The 3 rulers. The 2 Leopards one with the shadow attribute and one with the wind attribute. And their leader the Tiger with the lighting attribute. Then Cinder and everyone else noticed something. There was fresh blood on the hands of the 2 leopards. Cinder looked down to check if it was actually them but noticed something else. Rocky closed his eyes, never to open them again. Cinder wanted to cry but his tears stopped falling. He put his friend into his inventory and stood up slowly. He pulled out 2 cricket bats and spoke "Hey Essence. I see how a smart guy like you also made that dumb @ss decision to taunt that thing. leave the 2 leopards to me." as he said this, many system notifications popped out "Player received System Effects 'Adrenaline rush, Calm Rage' and also a quick time event has taken place 'Revenge'. If failed status Effect 'Depression' will be applied and if successful Effect 'Peace' will be applied." Cinder read none of them and jumped straight into action. He ran towards the one Wind Leopard and tried to hit it on the head, but it evaded it effortlessly by using air jump. The Shadow Leopard saw an opportunity and used its shadow jump ability and sent Cinder flying. Essence Wanted to check on him, but the Tiger was eyeing him like it was waiting for him to make a move. Raghav then shouted, "WE ARE ALSO READY!" as a ground started to shake from all the beasts under Raghav also showed up. Essence raised his Rod-sword and Shouted at the top of his lungs "END YOUR MISERY AND BRING THAT KING DOWN TO YOUR FEET." The tiger saw it Growled as loud as a jet engine with reverb. They all charged each other. Essence jumps back towards Rahgav and Explains him "Here is the plan. Tell the hippos to go to the crocks and alligators. let the Flys distract the hyenas and send some monkeys to set the deal. Send the main elephant with me and keep the remaining 2 to be with you." Raghav asks, "what about me? what will I do?" "JUST STAY ALIVE! Maybe help." Raghav was scared from the tone Essence spoke in, but he didn't bat an eye. Then a loud sound of the cry of the leopards shook the whole Zoo. The leopard with the wind ability was down on the ground instead of the air. It was also bleeding while the leopard with the shadow ability was standing behind with burn marks all over it. Cinder Stood all bloody with his own and the leopard's blood alike. He found out the magic of the beasts it was not that special as he though. The wind leopard could jump in the air 3 times. And the shadow Leopard could jump into any close shadow. Cinder when he was attacked from the sky. He used a blunt weapon and when attacked from the shadows he blew up the crackers he already placed after placed around everywhere. His genius was commendable but alas his strength couldn't keep him up forever. A system pop up came in view. His adrenaline and rage effects ran out. He screamed out loud and then fell down from exhaustion. Essence was right in time to help him up. Cinder fell in Essences arms and before falling into complete exhaustion as he spoke "Leave the Leopards." "They were yours to begin with. Well, I have something bigger to deal with." The tiger jumped down right in front of Essence. Essence put Cinder down and came face to face with the beast. Essence dint faulter and spoke "So the King of beasts is finally ready to show its face." The tiger growled and lit up with sparks.
