Sleeping in a position slumped over the side of the bed was really uncomfortable for Ming Mei, and it wasn't long before she woke up. When she opened her eyes, there was a few seconds of emptiness, but then she suddenly realized something and quickly looked up at Xizeer, finding him slowly sitting up, which let her breathe a sigh of relief. Thankfully, he was still there.
Seeing Ming Mei move, Xizeer withdrew his gaze and slowly sat up.
Ming Mei straightened her body; after lying on her stomach all night, her arms were numb and her back sore, and she couldn't help but let out a groan.
Seeing Ming Mei's pained expression, her face all scrunched up, Xizeer snorted through his nose: "I told you last night, I want to sleep on my own. Who told you not to leave?"
Ming Mei struggled to move her arm, trying hard to force a smile: "I wanted to keep an eye on you. How come you woke up so early? Kids should sleep a bit more."
