Ming Mei asked Kang Chen, "Did you tell Dad about Xizeer?"
"Yes, I did. If I didn't mention it to him beforehand and he saw it with his own eyes, he'd probably get so worked up he'd have a fit."
Kang Chen didn't tell Ming Mei that the old man had just taken a Fast Acting Heart Pill and some blood pressure medication.
"Right, right, Dad's heart isn't great; we should give him a heads up in advance."
In a while, Xizeer came out, his hair a bit wet, sticking to his scalp, and his face flushed from the steam, which actually took away most of his cold demeanor. He had changed into new clothes and looked cute and well-behaved.
Ming Mei, seeing his soft hair sticking to his scalp, hurried to get a towel: "Come here, let me dry your hair. In weather like this, you'll catch a cold easily if your hair isn't dry."
Xizeer reached out his hand, "I can do it myself."
