Third person POV
While waiting for night to fall, Hoshi and his group did various things like going around Quezon City, BGC, and Makati City. SM Mall of Asia was reserved for once the case was over. All the while, they and the NBI had got a few hints on the corrupt police officers who were involved in the crime from the spirits of the LRT Depot victims. These people belonged to at least two police stations not far from the LRT depot, as researched by the NBI's best researchers. Croix was among the researchers, as he would do every time a case came up. Also, Hoshi and his group got involved in the recording of potential accomplices to Eduardo and his son, whose name was never mentioned. Hoshi had a notebook for that, which was his personal journal, and he kept it with him all the time. Also, if any suspicious police officers were to look at their friends, the NBI would notify them of their suspicious presence wherever Hoshi and his group would go, and they would get out just in case, including mixing with crowds.
And so, all these waiting and doing were worth it because by 7:30 p.m., after dinner, Hoshi, Sha, Bokuto, and Taro hopped on an LRT train from Baclaran to its depot in the north. They had eaten dinner in a restaurant in Baclaran beside EDSA (Elpidio Delo Santos Avenue), and the rest of their group scattered across Metro Manila just in case any suspicious police officer would follow them. Though nervous and anxious about this showdown, the four of them remained determined, and Hoshi listened to one of his favourite Filipino songs, one that is said to be powerful because of its melody and lyrics, to calm his nerves down. Kuro liked it as well, taking its message and melody as food for his strength and willpower.
And then, Hoshi made a post on social media (he never did this before) warning against taking LRT 1 past 7 p.m. because of the dangers of it later.
"I'm not sure about this, guys…" Taro said while holding his pistol full of reloadable Negative Energy Bullets.
Sha had revealed beforehand that they can immobilise a non-supernatural entity like humans and animals.
Taro took this fact seriously.
"We can do this, kids," Sha replied, causing Taro's vigilance and determination to return now.
Bokuto remained focused and vigilant.
And then, the lights in the empty train car flickered, scaring the heck out of them. Hoshi then started praying for his safety and the safety of his friends as the other three were holding on for their lives. He tries not to let the PTSD and the bad memories of the Filipino thriller movie he hated so much from breaking his focus. Croix was listening to the external noises through their mono headsets with microphones on them.
Now, the lights returned, and the train came to a stop, showing the LRT depot through the windows. It was quite dark, with a few small lightbulbs providing lighting there. Seeing that, the four of them got off and wielded their weapons with vigilance. Hoshi then took off his glasses, and Kuro took over and transformed his kunai knife into his scythe. Sha prepared his shadow magic, and Taro prepared and aimed his pistol.
And then, someone was going towards them with something heavy that was being dragged with him, making a scary, scratching, dragging noise…
