This made their brain structure closer to computer code.
It gave them the benefit of interfacing directly with computers and other technology.
But it also opened a weakness for someone like Alex to hijack them.
In that brief second, Alex used a rune that absorbed all light.
He moved quickly, touched the Mechalyte, then used another rune to imprison its soul.
He also created a fake soul.
