Chapter Hundred-Thirty-Eight – The Test
What type of test were they planning?
"Alpha, is it about that—"
"Yes." Stefan interrupted Cade. "I don't have time to handle it. You don't and the Delta doesn't. So let the lead warrior do it. Also it's good exercise."
Cade exhaled. For a while, he noticed the Alpha had been in a bad mood. He couldn't place why.
He knew Stefan wasn't the type to vent on others but if this was an indirect vent then Baxter will be in trouble.
He placed his hand on the young man's shoulder as encouragement, then sat down by Sigma.
"I'd take the test, Alpha." Baxter repeated confidently.
Stefan handed a file to him. "It's not that I don't think you can do it but we have another option, the General of warriors that served under my father."
Cade snapped his head at Stefan. Did he mean the Dark Past? If the Dark Past becomes the lead warrior, with all the rumors about him, he could rise in rebellion against him.
