[CUT TO: Daniel on stage]
DANIEL: Thank you! Thank you! Wow, okay, sit down, sit down. You're making me blush.
[Laughter and cheers]
DANIEL: So here we are. The DCU is three years old. And none of that would have been possible without you, the fans. Without the incredible cast. Without DC Studios, the crew, the writers, the directors, everyone who believed in this vision.
[Someone in the crowd shouts: "YOU TOO!"]
DANIEL (laughing): Okay, me too.
[Big cheers]
DANIEL: Before we bring out the Justice League, I'm going to tell you what we have planned for 2018 and 2019.
[Screen shows:] MAY 2018 JULY 2018 NOVEMBER 2018 MARCH 2019 MAY 2019 JULY 2019 NOVEMBER 2019
[Crowd gasps and cheers]

DEREK (off-screen): WHAT?!
JUSTIN (off-screen): Holy shit!

[Laughter and applause]
[CUT TO: May 2018 reveal]
DANIEL: Alright, let's see what we have for May 2018.
[Lights dim]
[Video plays on screen - sweeping shots of space, then Superman flying upward through Earth's atmosphere]
JAKE (whispering): Oh my god…
[MUSIC: "Starman" by David Bowie begins to play]
[Superman hovering in space, looking down at Earth]
[Title appears: MAN OF TOMORROW]
[Crowd erupts]
JAKE (screaming): YES! THE SUPERMAN SEQUEL!
JUSTIN (off-screen): The music choice chef's kiss!
[CUT TO: Daniel back on stage]
DANIEL: Man of Tomorrow. Superman will be learning more about his Kryptonian origins about his remaining family.
[Big cheers]
JAKE: Supergirl?
DANIEL: But with that discovery comes danger. A threat that follows him to Earth.
JAKE (nodding): Brainiac. Has to be Brainiac.
JUSTIN: Or Zod.
[CUT TO: July 2018 reveal]
DANIEL: Alright—July 2018.
[Screen shows: WONDER WOMAN 2]
[Massive applause]
JAKE: WOOOO!!!
DANIEL: I won't say much about this movie. Not yet.
[Crowd groans]
JAKE (laughing): Come on, man!
[CUT TO: Daniel skipping movies]
DANIEL: Now, for the next one… You know what? Let's skip the next one.
[Confused murmurs, laughter]
JAKE: Wait, what?
[CUT TO: March 2019 reveal]
DANIEL: Okay—March 2019.
[Screen shows: AQUAMAN 2]
[Cheers erupt]
JAKE: The king is back, baby!
DANIEL: And you know what? I'm gonna skip the next one as well.
[More laughter and confusion]
JUSTIN (off-screen): Has to be Justice League sequel or something.
JAKE: Or a small team-up movie like World's Finest.
[CUT TO: July 2019 reveal]
DANIEL: Alright—July 2019.
[Screen shows: THE FLASH 2]
JAKE: FUCK yeah, baby!
DEREK (off-screen): Hope it's better than the first one.
JAKE: Come on, man, it was a great movie.
[CUT TO: November 2019 reveal]
DANIEL: And finally, November 2019.
[Screen shows: GREEN LANTERN 2]
[Big applause]
DANIEL: Well, that's that.
[Someone shouts: "YOU MISSED TWO!"]
DANIEL (grinning): I did, didn't I?
JAKE: Okay, what is it…
[Lights dim - video plays]
[Three people having dinner - Viola Davis cutting steak]
VIOLA DAVIS (on screen): "It took a while, but I finally have them. The worst of the worst."
JAKE (leaning forward): Wait…
MAN (on screen): "Where?"
VIOLA DAVIS: "Let's just say I put them in a hole… and threw away the hole."
[Cheers erupt]
JAKE (screaming): SUICIDE SQUAD! IT'S SUICIDE SQUAD!
DEREK (off-screen): OH MY GOD!
VIOLA DAVIS (on screen): "I want to assemble a task force of the most dangerous people on the planet."
[Crowd intensifies]
MAN (on screen): "They're bad guys."
VIOLA DAVIS: "Yes. And I think we can do some good. If anything goes wrong, we simply blame them."
[Scene fades - voice-over]
VIOLA DAVIS (V.O.): "Because getting people to act against their own self-interest is what I do for a living."
[Title appears: SUICIDE SQUAD]
[Crowd goes INSANE - standing ovation]
JAKE (screaming, shaking camera): OH MY GOD, I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING! SUICIDE SQUAD! FUCKING SUICIDE SQUAD AND VIOLA DAVIS AS AMANDA WALLER! OH MY GOD, THIS IS PERFECT!
JUSTIN (off-screen): BRO!
DEREK (off-screen): OK, OK, DANNY BOY IS NOT PLAYING!
[CUT TO: Daniel back on stage]
DANIEL: I don't think any of you were expecting that.
[More cheers]
DANIEL: Suicide Squad will open a brand-new world in the DCU. A lot of stories to be told. And some of these characters will appear in The Batman Pt. 3.
JAKE (eyes wide): Wait, WHAT?!
[CUT TO: Brad Bird introduction]
DANIEL: We looked for a director to make this movie the best it could possibly be. And we found him. Well, he was very insistent on doing it. Please welcome Brad Bird!
[Brad walks onto stage - huge applause]
JAKE: So Brad Bird is directing Justice League AND Man of Tomorrow?! Or is he not doing Man of Tomorrow?
[CUT TO: Justice League cast introductions]
DANIEL: First up—HENRY CAVILL!
[Crowd explodes]
JAKE (screaming): SUPERMAN!
DANIEL: JENSEN ACKLES!
[Even louder cheers - Batman chants]
DANIEL: ALEXANDRA DADDARIO!
[Massive applause]
JAKE: She looks amazing! Wow.
DANIEL: GRANT GUSTIN!
[Big cheers]
DANIEL: ALAN RITCHSON!
[Crowd roars]
JAKE: Holy shit, he got bigger.
DANIEL: DAMSON IDRIS!
[Cheers erupt]
JAKE: I am really looking forward to seeing his John Stewart. Hope we get a Green Lantern teaser today as well.
JUSTIN: I'm sure it will be shown.
DANIEL: You still haven't seen the final member of the League. It took us some time to cast the Manhunter. And I think we found the perfect man to play him…STERLING K. BROWN!
[Crowd erupts]
JAKE: Martian Manhunter! YES!
DANIEL: We have one more… A movie is only as good as its villain. And the bad guy that will bring the League together will be the brother to the Manhunter himself… Playing Malefic—LANCE REDDICK!
[Crowd roars]
JAKE (screaming): WOOOO, YEAH! I CALLED IT! I CALLED IT! IT'S MALEFIC!
[CUT TO: Panel Q&A]
[A fan stands at the microphone]
FAN: I have a question for Brad. How do you plan to direct Justice League and Superman 2 together? How are you going to manage both?
DANIEL (leaning into his mic with a grin): Well, Brad is a Superman himself.
[Laughter from the crowd]
BRAD (chuckling): I appreciate that, Daniel. Look, I really wanted to do these movies. Both of them. And DC Studios has made it possible for me to do this. The support system they've built the infrastructure, the resources it's incredible.
[He gestures toward Daniel and continues]
BRAD: I have to praise Daniel and also Dave Steiner, both heads of DC Studios, for running this operation so smoothly. They've built something special here. And for Justice League specifically, all the other directors James, Bryce, Edgar, Nolan, Joseph, the whole crew they're serving as advisors and consultants. It's a collaborative effort.
[Applause]
HENRY (leaning into his mic): I'll be working non-stop too.
DANIEL (grinning): That's why you're Superman.
[Cheers and applause]
[Another fan steps up to the mic]
FEMALE FAN: Alexandra, there's been a lot of conversation recently about actress pay in Hollywood. Are you being paid the same as your male counterparts?
[The hall goes quiet. There is some heckling]
ALEXANDRA (nodding, thoughtful): That's a really important question, and I want to start by acknowledging that this is a huge issue in our industry. Women are often paid significantly less than men for the same work, and that needs to change.
[She pauses, glancing at Daniel, then continues]
ALEXANDRA: After Wonder Woman came out and after Superman came out I had a conversation with Daniel about how much the others were being paid. And to his credit, he didn't brush it off. He didn't make excuses. He took it seriously.
ALEXANDRA: And we renegotiated my contract. And I can say now, without hesitation, that I am being paid what I feel I deserve to be paid.
[Big cheers and applause]
ALEXANDRA (continuing, voice steady): Wonder Woman has inspired millions of women and girls worldwide. It's caused a revolution. There's so much interest now in more female-led superhero movies—and movies in general. And I think part of that revolution has to include making sure women are valued equally behind the scenes, too. Not just on screen, but in our paychecks.
[Big applause]
[Another fan steps up]
FAN: My question is for Grant. The Flash didn't perform as well at the box office as some of the other DCU movies. How do you feel about that?
[Grant leans forward, his expression confident]
GRANT: Look, I've seen the movie. Everyone in DC has seen the movie. And we know The Flash is a good movie. How much money it made? That doesn't define its quality.
[Applause starts building]
GRANT: The Flash has a huge role to play in the DC Universe. You haven't seen the half of what he's capable of yet. And I promise you the next one will be even better than the first.
[He grins]
GRANT: So don't write him off yet.
[Big cheers and applause]
JAKE (in audience): Hell yeah, Grant!
[Another fan steps up to the mic]
FAN: My question is for Sterling. Have you been fitted for the Martian Manhunter costume yet? Is it a costume?
STERLING (shaking his head with a smile): Yes, it's a costume, as I am told. And no, not yet. But soon. Very soon.
[Crowd cheers]
FAN: How do you feel about the role?
STERLING (leaning forward, thoughtful): I feel honored. The Martian Manhunter is such a great character. He's layered, complex. He's the last of his kind the sole survivor of an entire race. Very much like Superman, but unlike him, he was there to witness its fall.
[He pauses, his voice steady]
STERLING: What I understand about J'onn is that he's someone who's chosen Earth as his home, but he's haunted by the loss of Mars. He's telepathic, so he can read minds, feel what others feel which makes him incredibly empathetic. But it also isolates him. He knows what people are thinking, what they're hiding. That's a burden.
[The crowd is silent, listening intently]
STERLING: And in this movie, he's facing his brother Malefic. Someone who represents everything J'onn left behind. Someone who's a reminder of his past, his guilt, his failures. So I want to play J'onn as someone who's strong, who's heroic, but who's also deeply vulnerable. Someone who's still learning what it means to be human.
[Cheers and applause]
JAKE (in audience, to camera): That's perfect casting.
[Another fan steps up]
FAN: Alan, are you going to get even bigger?
ALAN (grinning): I mean, I need to look big to be the King of Atlantis, right?
[Laughter]
ALAN: But honestly, I haven't increased in size since the last movie. Daniel says my current size is enough.
[He pauses, then adds with a smirk]
ALAN: And trust me it's enough.
[The crowd ERUPTS in laughter]
DANIEL (jumping in, laughing): It is enough!
[More laughter and cheers]
[Another fan steps up]
FAN: Henry, what can we expect from World's Finest?
HENRY (glancing at Jensen, then back at the fan): Currently? We don't know anything about it.
JENSEN (nodding): Yeah, we're in the dark.
HENRY: But what I feel Jensen and I need to do what we have to do is replicate that Superman-Batman bromance. That friendship in the comics.
[He leans forward]
HENRY: Because that's what makes World's Finest work. It's not just about two heroes teaming up. It's about two very different people one who's an optimist, who believes in the best of humanity, and one who's a realist, who's seen the worst learning to respect each other. To need each other.
[Big cheers and applause]
[Another fan steps up and asks Lance about Malefic and how he is going to approach the character]
LANCE: Malefic is fascinating. He's not just a villain for the sake of being a villain. His motivation is tied directly to his brother to J'onn.
[He pauses, gathering his thoughts]
LANCE: Malefic is an outcast. He was an outcast from birth.
[The crowd listens intently]
LANCE: That isolation twisted him. It filled him with rage and a need to lash out. And he's still lashing out. That's what makes him so dangerous. He's someone who was broken by his circumstances and is now trying to break everything around him especially his brother.
[He leans forward]
LANCE: What I will say is that his story is deeply personal and it will be one of the pillars that holds this movie together.
[The crowd is captivated]
LANCE: I want to play him as someone who's broken, but also terrifying. Someone who genuinely believes he's been wronged. Someone who thinks he's the victim in this story.
[He smiles]
LANCE: And I have to give a lot of credit to Daniel for this role. I was very much interested when he approached me with this, and I plan to make him be part of the iconic DC villains the DCU is known for.
[Big cheers]
DANIEL (grinning): Lance is going to be incredible.
[CUT TO: May 2019 reveal - World's Finest]
JENSEN: I'm not in any of those movies.
GRANT: You've had three already.
JENSEN (grinning): I'm the motherfucking Batman.
[Big cheers]
HENRY (dryly): Language.
JENSEN: You've got Boy Scout over here.
[Laughter]
JAKE (laughing): They are Superman and Batman.
DANIEL: Maybe you two can do a movie together.
[Crowd and Jake gasp]
[Lights dim]
[Batman symbol appears on screen]
JAKE (leaning forward): Wait… oh my god…
[Superman symbol materializes in the center of Batman's symbol]
JAKE (breathless): I called it! Oh, fucking god, I didn't…
[The two symbols merge]
[Title appears: WORLD'S FINEST]
[Hall EXPLODES - standing ovation, screaming]
JAKE (completely shocked): This is better than Justice League 2! Fuck, the possibilities…
JUSTIN (off-screen, screaming): I CAN'T BREATHE!
[Henry and Jensen stand up on stage, squaring off dramatically]
DANIEL (stepping between them): Hey, hey! You guys aren't fighting. You're teaming up!
[Laughter]
DANIEL: This is not Civil War. You're Super Friends.
[Henry and Jensen hug]
[Massive cheers]
JAKE ( to camera): DC just won. They won.
Everyone was standing up, ready to wrap things up, but they stopped.
DANIEL: Before we end this, I'll leave you with something more.
JAKE: Oh my god, the Green Lantern trailer! This is it, this is it.
Jake and everyone in the hall turned their full attention back to the stage.
The lights dimmed.
[On Screen]
[0:01-1:38]
[Shots of space - vast, beautiful, awe-inspiring]
MUSIC: A calm, sweeping orchestral score.
HAL (voice-over, confident but reverent): "The Green Lantern Corps. Guardians of the universe for three thousand years. Tradition. Discipline. Honor."
QUICK CUTS while Hal speaks:
Hal creating a massive GREEN SHIELD construct, blocking alien energy blasts
Hal flying through a debris field, dodging asteroids with incredible speed
Close-up: His ring glowing, green energy radiating outward
The VFX were stunning the best effects seen so far in any DCU film or any film.
[Crowd reaction - audible gasps of awe]
JAKE (whispering, eyes wide): Oh my god…
Hal landing on an alien planet, helping evacuate civilians
He creates a construct bridge as people flee across it
His expression: Focused, heroic, determined
JAKE (breathless): The suit looks amazing! Look at that detail!
JUSTIN (off-screen): This is insane!
HAL (voice-over continues): "We protect the innocent. We face the impossible. We never give up."
Hal floating in front of OA, the Green Lantern homeworld
Hundreds of Green Lanterns flying in formation behind him
Epic, awe-inspiring shot the crowd gasps again
Jake is speechless
JUSTIN (off-screen): HOLY SHIT!
Close-up: Hal's face, cocky smirk
He's about to say something else—
HAL (out loud now, not voice-over): "That's what it means to be a Green Lantern—"
SMASH CUT TO EARTH
Hal and John are sitting in a run-down diner. Both look beat up bruises on their faces, Hal's hand in an emerald construct sling.
John looks completely unimpressed.
JOHN (dry, cutting Hal off mid-sentence): "Really."
[CROWD GASPS AND LAUGHS]
JAKE (laughing): WHAT?! THAT'S THE GOAT YOU INTERRUPTED!
HAL (defensive): "Yes, really! I've saved, like, so many people!"
JOHN (still unimpressed): "That's not how others say it."
HAL: "They're jealous. I've been doing this for ten years, Stewart. Fifteen. I've saved galaxies."
JOHN (raising an eyebrow): "I thought it was twenty."
HAL (quickly): "I don't like to brag about it, so I reduce it to stay humble."
[Laughter from the crowd]
HAL (leaning forward): "How many have you saved? Zero."
JOHN (calmly): "I just started."
HAL (smirking): "Exactly."
JOHN: "You know what? Maybe the reason you keep getting your ass kicked is because you spend more time talking than fighting."
HAL (offended): "I do not get my ass kicked—"
JOHN: "You're wearing a sling from the last one."
HAL: "It's for dramatic effect! It's just a scratch!"
[More laughter from the audience]
JOHN (deadpan): "Uh-huh."
HAL (pointing at him): "You know what, Stewart? I don't like you."
JOHN: "The feeling's mutual, Jordan."
[Suddenly, an EXPLOSION behind them - the diner window shatters]
HAL (sighing, standing up): "Well. Back to work."
[Both power up - their suits materialize in brilliant green light]
[Crowd ERUPTS in cheers]
JAKE (screaming): THERE IT IS! THE SUITS!
[SMASH CUT]
[Hal and John fighting side by side in space, facing spaceships]
MUSIC: A high-energy beat kicks in.
Hal using his plane construct, weaving through enemy fire
John using weapon constructs guns, cannons, shields creative and tactical
The two of them moving in perfect sync, despite their bickering
[Then quick glimpses of:]
The Guardians watching from Oa
Kilowog smashing through enemy ships
Two more Tomar-Re and Boodikka fighting in the background
Sinestro's silhouette looming ominously above a planet
[Final shot:]
Hal and John, side by side, combining their constructs to destroy a massive alien warship in a brilliant explosion of green light.
[Title appears:]
THE GREEN LANTERNS
March 2017
[Lights come back on]
[The hall EXPLODES - standing ovation, screaming, cheering that doesn't stop]
DEREK (off-screen, screaming): THAT WAS THE BEST THING I'VE EVER SEEN! First time I'm impressed from this whole event.
[On stage, Daniel is grinning, waving to the crowd]
DANIEL (into the mic): That's all, folks! Thank you for your support. I love you!
[More cheers, more applause]
JAKE (to camera, breathless, grinning): This is the greatest Con I have ever been to. I… I need to sit down.
[CUT TO: Jake walking out of Hall H, breathless]
JAKE: I… I don't even know what to say. Seven movies. Sequels for all… Suicide Squad. World's Finest. This was… this was legendary.
DEREK (off-screen): No mention of Martian Manhunter movie, though.
JUSTIN (off-screen): Only you can come nitpick what we just saw, Derek.
JAKE (grinning at camera): I need to sit down.
[He takes a breath]
JAKE: Alright, guys. I'm gonna go process all of this. Breakdown video coming soon. Like, comment, subscribe.
[He gives a thumbs up]

INTERVIEW WITH DANIEL ADLER - COMIC-CON 2016!!!
22 hours ago 2.2M Views.
[INTRO - Jake on camera, surrounded by a crowd of fans. Daniel Adler stands beside him]
JAKE: Alright, guys! I am here with the one and only—DANIEL ADLER!
[Crowd cheers loudly]
DANIEL (grinning): Great to finally be invited onto the great JakeTalksComics channel.
[People around them cheer and laugh]
JAKE (laughing): I did NOT expect or prepare for this! I just DMed you on Twitter saying how good the panel was and then it just went from there…
DANIEL (shrugging): Well, here we are.
[More laughter]
JAKE: Okay, so first question…um…are the scripts for Man of Tomorrow, Wonder Woman 2, and the other movies ready? And which ones will you be writing?
DANIEL: Man of Tomorrow has been in the works for some time now. Scott Snyder and I are writing it together—we worked on it while we were also writing Justice League. It's not done yet, though. There are still some kinks to work out. Man of Tomorrow's post-production begins next month, so we'll finish by then.
[He pauses, then adds]
DANIEL: I'll also be writing the World's Finest script.
JAKE (surprised): No Scott?
DANIEL: No, because he'll be busy with something else. Not DCU-related, but I think everyone here would very much enjoy it.
[The crowd murmurs, intrigued]
JAKE: Ohhh, very cryptic.
JAKE: What about Suicide Squad? Anything you can reveal?
DANIEL: You'll see it being set up in The Batman Pt. 3. The only thing I'll reveal right now is that Margot Robbie will be playing Harley Quinn.
JAKE (grinning): I think we all knew that.
[Laughter from the crowd]
JAKE: Green Lantern. Wow…that trailer was incredible.
DANIEL (smiling): Joseph Kosinski is a great director. He has an eye for things like this. I was blown away by the script, and some of the scenes we've shot? They're going to look amazing. It's going to be a visual treat.
JAKE: I can't wait. We can't wait. It's all very overwhelming.
DANIEL: I don't know if that's good or bad.
JAKE: Definitely good.
JAKE: Alright, The Batman Pt. 3. What can you tell us about the movie? What's it about?
DANIEL: It's about Batman entering a new phase of his crime-fighting career. We're introducing more fantastical villains.
[That gets a reaction from the crowd gasps, murmurs]
DANIEL: The movie is great. And I want to specifically say how good Brenton Thwaites is in this movie. It's Robin like you've never seen him before.
JAKE: Is Robin becoming Nightwing in this movie?
DANIEL (shaking his head): No, no. He's Robin.
JAKE (pressing): Will Superman show up?
DANIEL (feigning innocence): Whatever gave you that idea? It's a Batman movie.
[The crowd makes noise laughs, boos]
JAKE (grinning): We've all seen the set photos!
DANIEL (sighing, grinning): Well, yeah. Henry was visiting the set.
[He pauses, then confesses with a smirk]
DANIEL: And I was the one who suggested we all go outside so the leak could happen.
[Appropriate response from the crowd laughter and some playful boos]
JAKE (laughing): We made SO many theories!
DANIEL (grinning wider): Well, I got you.
[More laughter]
JAKE: You're evil, man.
DANIEL (shrugging): I try.
DANIEL (grinning wider): Well, I got you.
[More laughter]
JAKE: You're evil, man.
DANIEL (shrugging): I try.
JAKE: Ok, so this is something everyone's been talking about DC versus Marvel. The Oscars, the box office, the popularity. How do you feel about competing with Marvel, and how does it feel knowing DC has become more popular than the MCU?
DANIEL (thoughtful, nodding): Look, the MCU is great. Kevin Feige is doing incredible work, and I want to see more of what they're doing. I'm genuinely excited about where they're going.
He paused.
DANIEL: I think DC's popularity comes down to the characters. Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman these are great American mythologies. They're ingrained in people's minds. They've been around for decades. Marvel has Spider-Man, who's close to that level, but DC has this deep cultural resonance. Superman and Batman are also more famous around the world and anything involved with them gets eyes on it immediately.
DANIEL: That said, I want both to succeed. I'm looking forward to seeing how the Infinity Saga ends. Kevin feels the same way about the DCU. We both love what we do. We respect each other. But yeah the fans can be a bit competitive.
[Big applause and laughter]
JAKE (grinning): Okay, next question. My cousin wanted me to ask you something.
DANIEL (curious): What?
JAKE: Have you finished the new Percy Jackson book yet?
DANIEL smiled a forced one.
DANIEL: Sadly, no.
[Laughter from the crowd]
DANIEL (laughing): I did not expect this question here, actually.
[More laughter]
JAKE (grinning sheepishly): Sorry, man. I had to ask.
DANIEL: It will be done soon. I'm aiming for maybe next year.
More question followed,
JAKE (to camera): Alright, guys, there you have it. Daniel, thank you for this. You have made my day. You have made my viewers' day. Thank you.
[Crowd cheers]
JAKE: Thanks for stopping by, man. This was awesome.
DANIEL: Anytime, Jake. Keep up the great work.
[They shake hands as the crowd cheers again]
JAKE (to camera, grinning): Alright, guys like, comment, subscribe. More videos coming soon!
