May is awake now. Her fever hasn't broken yet, which is alarming, but she is awake. And complaining. Not crying, though I wouldn't blame her for it if she were to cry, given how miserable she looks, but complaining.
She's out of bed.
It'd probably be best for her to stay in bed and sleep as much as possible, but she is six, and staying in a plain bed in a place that isn't even her room while she's in misery just isn't happening.
Not that she'd get up and escape, mind. For once, she's not zooming around at top speed.

Causes my chest to clench just a little at the thought.
But she'd definitely throw a tantrum if I forced her to stay in the bed.
So instead of sitting in the bed, she's sitting on a chair at a table, near a window.
Lucas is making her soup. He decided to stay behind today. I could have gone with Celeste to search through the books in his place...but I-
