Chapter 184 - Chapter 184: Aemon and Daenerys Speak

[3rd POV]

While Lucifer and Alice were outside softly talking to one another, enjoying each other's presence, a different conversation was being had inside of the room that they had just left. As Aemon and Daenerys not sat across from one another, silence controlling the room as Daenerys was trying to decide what to ask first.

She had so many questions for her Great Uncle. About so many different things.

How was he alive? What was it like all those years ago? Had he ever met her mother? What was her father like before insanity took control of him? What was her older brother Rhaegar like before he had died?

But before she could ask any of those questions that was on her mind, the man beat her to it.

"Have they been treating you well?" Aemon asked, it was the first true question he had asked the girl, but in his mind, it was the most important one of them all. He wanted to be absolutely certain that the two unknown and incredibly strange women had not hurt Daenerys in any form.

He doubted he could really do anything about it, not with the woman casually healing him to his prime, reverting him back. He knew that she was a God, or a being of such a similar scale. So he, a mortal, wouldn't be able to even scratch her.

But that would certainly not stop him from trying.

"No, no. They're really nice to me" Daenerys responded with a quick shake of her head, immediately getting rid of any thoughts of abuse or anything. She still wasn't entirely sure about the two of them, but they were kind, loving, and had brought her to see the last member of her family.

Well, besides her brother, but she wanted absolutely nothing to do with him, so this was the best other option in her mind.

Aemon hearing this let out a sigh of relief, happy to hear that there was no abuse happening or anything darker happening to her. He would have been heartbroken to hear that.

"They saved me, Uncle. Without them I'd be dead or a slave" Daenerys said, remembering the two of them coming to the alley and basically reviving her from near death. And not only that, but they fed her and helped her more than anyone else ever had.

Keeping her safe and far away from the threat of being turned into a slave, something that had been looming over her head the second her brother had basically abandoned her. Now it was no longer a threat, even if she decided against going with them more than this. She was still trying to decide if it was worth it to follow them further.

She was beginning to think it would be. They were loving, kind, warm, and protective. Basically...anything and everything you'd want in a caretaker, in...

Parents.

She had never had one before. Not one warm and kind like them. And deep down, she couldn't help but hope that they were truly willing to take her in.

"...Good, that is very good to hear. I'd hate to find out that the woman that has just given me such an incredible gift, was mistreating you" Aemon responded with a small pleased smile on his face, happy to hear that they wouldn't be a problem in that area.

"They aren't the type to do that" Daenerys said simply, defending them a bit as the man raised an eyebrow before deciding to change the subject.

"But I must ask, child, what happened to your brother? What happened to Viserys? Is he alive somewhere too?" Aemon asked, not really sure what happened to the boy. He knew that the kid was a bit...questionable in his younger years, but he thought that was thanks to the boys father. But now that Aerys was gone from the world, he hoped that the child had become a much better person.

"He's alive. But...he's not a good person, Uncle. He was going to sell me off to the highest bidder, so that he can amass an army to invade Westeros and try to retake the Iron Throne. He was...a fool, an arrogant, idiotic, fool" Daenerys responded, remembering her brother.

Unlike the canon Daenerys, this Daenerys has never felt any real care for him. Sure, when she was younger she did love him as her brother. But she had to quickly grow up thanks to the way he had been treating her over the years, and thanks to the constant threat of being sold into sex slavery, she had developed a lot.

And that wasn't always a good thing. To have to develop that quickly was just...wrong. But in a world like this one, it was sadly an extremely common occurance.

"I see...that is unfortunate. I had hoped that the boy would move past the arrogance that I had seen from him the one time we had met. But it would seem that he inherited more of your fathers personality than your mothers" Aemon said looking down in sadness. It was a terrible thing to hear another of his kin was lost to madness.

It was one of the worst aspects of the Targaryen dynasty, and sadly, one of the most common, alongside miscarriage. Both had happened so many times in the past that it was common and barely that surprising anymore. The only difference this time is that Aerys was a lot worse than any other in the past, except for Maegor perhaps.

Either way, Aemon was saddened by this news, but not particularly shocked.

"And how did you get here?" Aemon asked.

"They brought me here. Lady Lucifer is incredibly strong, and has many abilities that are impossible to explain. She had brought me from Pentos today! She moved from across the seas to here within a single moment, as if it was one singular step!" Daenerys exclaimed, as the mans eyebrows shot up.

First he had been healed and reverted to his prime by her, and now he was hearing of teleportation. It was becoming very clear to him that she was a God, she had to be. He just wondered what type of God she could be, and why she was so kind to mere mortals.

Perhaps Daenerys was special?

"And did she say what sort of...entity she was?" Aemon questioned, wishing to know more about the woman and her mysterious background. He also wished to learn more about this strange companion of hers, as Alice hadn't really said anything beyond seemingly being happy for them.

He wondered if she was another God of some sort.

"No, but I don't think that matters, uncle Aemon. Cause either way she can do things that no human can do, and that is all that matters, isn't it?" Daenerys asked somewhat naively, as Aemon inwardly sighed.

She could not seem to understand why Aemon was so curious, and why it was important to know what God Lucifer was. As some Gods were...a lot less kind than others, according to legends. Gods like the Drowned God for example, were awful and should not be interacted with what so ever.

"I suppose not. Now, why don't you tell me more about how you got here, and in turn, I can tell you of what it was like to grow up as a Prince?" Aemon offered, his smile returning upon seeing the excitement flash in his grand nieces eyes, as she began to enthusiastically explain, all the while, he had one thought on his mind.

'...Just who are you, Lucifer?'
