[3rd POV]
Daenerys stared at the man with wide, awed eyes. She knew the story of Dunc and Egg, of the two legendary figures from decades ago. Of the man that came before her family. Of the legendary hedge knight and his trusty squire.
And she knew of the stories regarding his death.
But what she had not known was that he had another brother besides those that were in the history books extensively. That there was another that had moved over to the wall, becoming a simple maester for Castle Black.
And more importantly.
She did not know that he was still alive even at such an old age. Living to become that old was incredibly incredibly incredibly rare. So rare that it was next to impossible to find someone in Westeros that lived to such an advanced age.
The oldest ages you tend to find people at, were in their fifties or so. Finding someone older than that was incredibly rare, and it was even harder to find someone that was as old as Aemon. Being around 80 years old.
That was incredible.
"M-My Great uncle?" Daenerys whispered, wide eyed as she looked into the eyes of the now much younger man, awe on her face as his own eyes were wide when he realized who she was.
She was Daenerys Targaryen, the little one that Rhaella had been pregnant with and had given birth to just after the Targaryens had fallen.
Staring at one another, Daenerys didn't wait much longer before she catapulted forwards and gave the man a powerful hug, a hug that he returned moments later, tears welling up in his eyes as he realized that the girl hugging him was the last true member of this family.
The other was a boy that for all intents and purposes, was a repeat of his monstrous father, the same father that had torn their family apart. Alongside that foolish older son of his, Rhaegar Targaryen.
An idiotic boy. Lucifer knew that he was a moron that did not understand what prophecy truly was, and believed in them far far too much for his own good. Falling for false truths and misunderstanding what he had been shown for his years.
And thanks to it, he had brought down his family's dynasty, made the North forever hate the Targaryens, and alienated most of the Seven Kingdoms from the Targaryens for...well, ever.
Basically, they were all morons.
Watching the two hug and cry, Alice leaned over and whispered to her life.
"Should we leave them to talk alone for a bit?" Alice asked, as Lucifer glanced down at her wife before looking back over at them before smiling and nodding.
"We'll leave you two to talk for a while alright? We'll be back in a bit" Lucifer said as Daenerys looked at her with a thankful expression on her face, and watched as the two walked out of the room, leaving her and her great uncle alone.
To finally learn what had happened to the other, and the past of their family.

Walking out of the room with the two Targaryen's left inside, Alice couldn't contain the soft squeal leaving her the second they had left.
"That was sooo cute! Did you see Daenerys's face? Talk about wholesome!" Alice said, with a coo echoing from her lips, as she remembered the expression on Daenerys's face when she was told that Aemon was her Great Uncle, and one of the last remaining members of her family.
The only other one (that she knew of) was her brother, and he was a cunt.
"I did love, and yes, it was adorable. I'm a little surprised you didn't break out into a squeal when you saw them" Lucifer said in amusement as Alice pouted.
"Hey! I've got more self control than that....well, most of the time at least" Alice responded, looking insulted as Lucifer chuckled.
"Yes yes, totally. You totally did not steal a scorching hot cookie when I was in the middle of baking it, because you could not wait another 10 minutes" Lucifer said, as Alice's eyes widened and her cheeks began to burn in embarrassment.
"I still remember the expression you made when the cookie practically melted in your hand before you could eat it" Lucifer grinned as Alice glared at her with flushed cheeks.
"S-Stop bringing that up! It was one time!" Alice responded, as Lucifer raised an eyebrow.
"Oh really? Do you not remember the time with the brownies? Or the time with the chocolate cake, or-" "Okay okay! I get it, I'm bad at controlling myself. No need to tease me so much you meanie" Alice cut her off with a pout as Lucifer laughed.
"Sorry love, it's just too fun teasing you! You talk about our children being adorable, but you are just on another level of cuteness" Lucifer cooed as her wife's cheeks burnt hotter and hotter at the words of her wife.
It was hard to not blush when Lucifer said things like that to her all the time.
"I know I'm cute" Alice responded with a blush on her cheeks, and an almost arrogant glint in her eyes as Lucifer chuckled at her wife, pressing a kiss against Alice's lips with a warm smile.
"How long do you want to wait for them?" Lucifer asked, as she leaned against the wall next to her wife, who hummed in thought. She wondered how long they could realistically talk, before realizing that Daenerys could talk to a man with knowledge of Aemon's caliber for hours on end.
Aemon had more knowledge than just about anyone else in Westeros, with only other very very high ranking maesters being even remotely comparable to the man. He was older than most of them, and had been given access to knowledge many of them had never seen. With the library of Castle Black being older than 90% of the knowledge they possessed, the only other place that was comparable was Winterfell library.
They had a lot of books that were very ancient and were actually older than Oldtown themselves in some cases.
The fact that the books were even in good enough condition to be read still at that point was very impressive, even by Lucifer's standards. There weren't a lot of books that she knew of back in TVD that were as old as the ones in this world. At least as old and in as good of condition as the ones in this world.
She wondered just how good they had been treating those books to keep them in that sort of condition for that long.
She decided to look into it later, as she was genuinely curious.
"Hmm, I say we wait for like an hour and then after that we can check up on them. If they want to keep talking after that than we can give them a max of another hour before getting Daenerys out. She still needs to have lunch and stuff, afterall" Alice responded, as Lucifer hummed before nodding in agreement.
That should be more than long enough.
"Alright, let's give them an hour. After that we'll check up on them and then give them another hour" Lucifer said as they both began to lean back against the wall, deciding to talk about some other things as they waited to go back inside and check up on them.
With that, they began to talk quietly, just waiting for the time to go back.
