Chapter 84 - Chapter 84 Confession

"This thing is cutting into my wrist," Dmitri whines, tugging at the handcuffs. "That's the least of your worries, brother." Mathayus hiss in Arabic. "Ugh, I do wish you would stop using that nauseating word. I'm no more your brother than I'm his son." Dmitri hissed back at him in his native tongue.

"What exactly do you mean by that?" Mathayus demands. "Oh, didn't your dear pa-pa tell you? I'm not his son, his blood does not run in my veins." Dmitri hissed again. "What nonsense is this?" Mathayus demands glaring at Dmitri.

"I speak the truth, which is more than I can say for both of you. My entire life is a lie. His wife cheated on him and got pregnant with me, and to conceal his wife's disgusting actions, he claims me as his son." Dmitri's tone drips with scorn.

Within seconds, the king was out of his chair and storming toward Dmitri, and seconds later, he delivered a resounding slap across Dmitri's face. "You. Disgusting. Piece of shit! How dare you insult my wife?" The king growls.

"Hmm," Dmitri moans, touching his stinging cheek with his free hand. "Can't handle the truth, can you, old man? But it's the truth, and you know it. Your blood does not run in my veins. How do you explain that, your majesty?" Dmitri sneers.

"Father, is any of this true?" Mathayus asks in disbelief. "How did you reach this revelation?" The king asks Dmitri instead of answering the question. "Well, look at that, you caved a lot faster than I thought you would." Dmitri snorts and then continues.

"But to answer your stupid question, I've always wondered why it is that I too wasn't born with your signature black eyes as he did?...

And why was it that we received two different trainings? Why wasn't I also trained to become king? And why the hell did he get the title of future king while I only got second in command?..

As if I wanted to be in his shadow my entire life. If we were both of royal blood, then what made him so fucking special? And why was the bitch so loving to him yet so cold and distant towards me? No, no, something wasn't right, and I wanted to confirm for myself that I was indeed your son and that I too deserve the title of future king...

So I did a DNA test, I planned that as soon as I got the result proving that I was your son, I would demand that you make me next in line for the throne instead of him." Dmitri glared at them with pure hatred as he continued.

"So you can imagine my surprise when the test came back proving that I was indeed not your son." Dmitri's hostile glare moves from one to the other.

"The only way I would be eligible to inherit the throne is if your blood runs through my veins, which it doesn't, so I decide to use your lies against you. The best part about it was that you had the whole country believing that I was your son, so, with you not being my dad and a lying bitch for a mother, I had nothing to lose...

So, new plan, get rid of all of you, especially you," he sneers, glaring at Mathayus, "And with you all dead and gone, the council would have no choice but to appoint me your only living heir, as their king.' He chuckles menacingly.

"You see, old man, as long as you were alive, you could only suspect me, but there would be no evidence to connect me to anything, and by the time you actually got the proof you were so desperately seeking, you would've been staring death in the face, so, case closed." Dmitri snorts, his tone smug.

"Thing is, as I sat here earlier, I was all set to play the innocent, but then again, why should I? The entire country believes that I'm your son and a king that harms his own blood would be dethroned, hence, whether or not I tried to kill you or Mat-lie-as over here, there isn't a damn thing either of you can do to me." Dmitri leans back in his chair with a proud, smug smirk on his face.

"Father, does he speak the truth?" Mathayus asks, his tone as calm and deadly as the Persian Gulf. "Go ahead, your majesty, confess." Dmitri goads the king.

"Yes, but only about not being my son, the rest is bullshit." The king growls. "How's that even possible? My mother isn't one to have an affair." "Shows how much you know." Dmitri scoffs.

"Wait a second, father, before you answer my question. Dmitri, as you are in the confessing mood, tell me, where is my fiancée?"

"Sorry, dude, collateral damage. She witnessed me shoving my lying bitch of a mother into the furnace, so to keep her from spilling the beans, so to speak, I knock her out as I did the previous bitch that I shoved in there and shove her in also." Dmitri laughs, then clears his throat and bites his lips.

"And it will give me great pleasure to give you a taste of your own medicine, brother." Mathayus's tone sent shivers down Dmitri's spine, but Dmitri wasn't about to give them the satisfaction of seeing him flinch.

"Father, please explain," Mathayus demands. "Everything he says will be a lie anyway, so..." "I gave you a chance to speak without interruption now. Be. Silent." Mathayus hissed cutting Dmitri off.

Dmitri clamp his mouth shut but his eyes spoke volumes of just how much he hated them both.
