Chapter 6: Princess With A Heart Of Ice
It had been a week since the groups meeting at the beach, they all had been accepted and, by either dumb luck or the red string of fate, they all got in the same class.
Though Katsuki was still pissed that he got second place to Izuku, all of them scored well. And Izuku got the chance to ask Iida and Jirou all about their quirks!
Iida had exhaust pipes in his legs that made him run faster and Jirou had aux cords on her ears that improved her hearing.
That was a cause for celebration!
They even forced Katsuki to join them.
They went out to the mall again and went to the arcade to play some games and Izuku found out more about Jiro and Iida's personalities. Jiro really liked music, it was obvious with the music store, so she played games like DDR and was a kind of go with the flow person but would often help when asked. Iida was a very by the book person, thus he played simple button games like Crossy Road, also he was obsessed with rules and such.
They had gotten some prizes from the prize counter and were getting ready to leave.
"Come on Sho, that asshole finally gave you a day off, we should make the most of it."
"I'm not good with crowded spaces."
"And you should be studying Natsuo."
"Fuyumi not now!"
Izuku heard to his left as they were walking out. He turned and saw a group of three, two girls and one guy. Two looked like adults and one looked like a teenager, around Izuku's own age.
The teen caught Izuku's eye, her hair was two colors, red and white. And it was cut perfectly down the middle, left was red, right was white. She had a burn on her left eye but that made the turquoise eye that was there stand out even more.
'She looks nice-'
"-doriya-san!"
Izuku was knocked out of his daze by Iida, "What was that Iida?"
"I asked, what do you think our studies at UA will be like?"
"Um, I don't know really, maybe just like normal school." Izuku said quickly before he looked back to where the trio, more importantly the girl, was. By now they were gone, she was gone.
Izuku shook his head and brought his back down to earth, him and his friends talked more about UA and what the experience would be like.
Overall Izuku had a really fun time, but it ended up getting late so they all had to go home and a week had passed since then. He was working out when his mother came into his room with another letter from UA.
"Izuku, here, I'm not sure what this is about, but it's from UA." Inko handed him the letter and left the room. Izuku stared at the concealed information and gulped, did he do something wrong? Was he going to get kicked out? No, surely not, right?
He took a deep breath and opened the envelope, expecting a disk like the last time, but this time it was an actual letter.
"Huh."
He opened up the letter and at the top it read
Greetings Izuku Midoriya
So it was for him.
We here at the UA staff have sent this letter to inform you of the new dorm system that is going to be implemented this year. Your class, Class 1-A, will be in the 1-A Heights Alliance building on the eastern side of the campus, the rest of your class will also be in this building. We here at UA expect no problems to arise with this, if there are you will either be given detention, suspension, or expulsion. You can start moving in the week after this letter should arrive, rooms contain bed, dresser, and desks, all else must be obtained by the resident.
Thank you for your time, Nezu.
'Nezu? PRINCIPAL NEZU! THE SMARTEST ANIMAL WITH A QUIRK, HIGH SPEC!' Izuku calmed himself down and reread the letter, 'So there's a dorm system..'
Izuku left his room and informed his mother, she was a little apprehensive at first, just because she didn't know if she would be ok with Izuku around. He comforted her and told her everything would be fine, and that he would visit as often as he could.
She agreed, so now Izuku was packing up his stuff.
Mainly his hero merch, mostly consisting of All Might figurines and posters of the hero saying phrases like YOU CAN DO IT, his hero notebooks which he had been improving over the past few days, that would help a ton, and his notebooks that he got from studying with Momo. Along with his hygiene supplies, other than that he had everything.
The school would supply him with a bed, a desk, and a computer. So he would have to go out later and buy stuff like a trashcan and a nightstand.
'Man this room is kinda weird without all my posters' Izuku looked around the now naked room, it felt strange. For as long as he could remember there were always posters up in this room, there were always All Might figurines decorating his shelves, it was always a hero otaku room, but now it wasn't.
-Time Skip: 1 week-
Izuku left his apartment, saying goodbye to his mom with lots of hugs and tears, he would visit, he kept on promising, she nodded with a tear filled smile and she let him leave.
"And Izuku?"
"Yeah mom?"
"I'm proud of you."
Izuku smiled, he could, he did, achieve his dreams. "Thank you mom, I love you." He left the apartment and sighed when he closed the door, this was a big step in his hero journey.
He took the train, using a student pass that UA supplied with him, he had some bags that held his items, he got off and walked the rest of the way to the campus.
He made his way to the gates and they were closed, 'I guess I should press the com button.' He made his way to the side of the gate and pressed a button that had a speaker on top of it.
"HELLO LITTLE LISTENER!"
Izuku gained stars in his eyes, "OHMYGODPRESENTMIC!"
"Right on the money little listener, I'm guessing you're here for the dorms, right?"
"Yes sir!" Izuku said.
"Alright, I'm gonna open up the gate and you have to make your way to the east side of the campus, you'll find Heights Alliance and in there my colleague will help you, got it?!"
"Yes Mr. Mic sir!"
"Alright, I'll see you in english class, little listener!"
'English?' Izuku was going to ask what english was about but then the gates opened, he tensed up at the opened gates, 'This is my first step.' Izuku took a deep breath and stepped onto the campus. 'My first step to becoming a hero!'
He continued through the campus and found his way to the eastern side.
He passed by the 1-B dorms building and saw some people already there, 'I should go say hi to them later.' Izuku thought as he continued to his own dorm building.
He had arrived at "Heights Alliance" and stumbled his way in, he looked around the building, it looked beautiful and big, not as big as Momo's home, but pretty big itself. His eyes went from the ceiling looking to the ground and there he found a caterpillar lying in the center of the place just there, laying down, and watching cat videos?
"Umm hello?" Izuku asked the caterpillar.
The caterpillar froze when he heard Izuku's footsteps. Then got up, turned around and unzipped itself revealing a man in a black shirt that had a pink cat on it also wearing black pants and cat slippers, having his hair in a messy bun at the back.
'Who?'
"How long have you been standing there?" He asked in a tired voice as Izuku noticed him shoving a phone down his pocket.
'He was watching cat videos.' The man cleared his throat and Izuku started sweating."Uh...I-I just got here…" Izuku was very nervous, this guy didn't look like a teenager at all, and he didn't look like a faculty member, or what Izuku imagined a faculty member looked like. He looked VERY worn out or that's what Izuku guessed by the man's eye bags. "I-I'm moving uhh into the dorms…."
"Oh" He simply said.
'Oh, what do you mean OH!' Izuku thought to himself as the man walked up to him giving him a paper stack that was in the caterpillar sack.
"There'll be a paper with your name on it, it'll have your room number and other stuff, classes start in three week, I advise that you prepare." The man said as he walked off.
Izuku blanched as he saw the man walk off, "That guy was weird, I'm guessing he is a faculty member since he had these papers."
Izuku searched the stacks of paper and found a sheet that had his name on it. It had a very dumb picture of him from his first year in middle schooll, he wore a stupid grin and looked very nervous honestly not too different from how he was now except he had less of a baby face now, along with basic information like age, gender, height, weight, and quirk.. He skimmed through the paper and found that he was on the 2nd floor, between "Minoru Mineta'' and "Yuga Aoyama''.
'Two of my classmates, I shouldn't read their papers, that's an invasion of privacy.' He moved to a nearby table that was long enough to accommodate all of the class and set the papers on the corner of the table.
So found a staircase and went up it with his bags. He climbed the staircase until he reached his floor and his room, he opened the door with a click. Honestly it was about the same size as the room in his house if he was being honest.
He walked in and started taking stuff out of his sat up his dol- I mean figures on the shelves and desk and noticed how much All Might was around, honestly if someone came into his room he'd probably die of embarrassment.
"Hi"
"HOLY SHIT!, ehem I mean ah." Izuku turned to see the person that scared the crap out of him, it was her. The girl he saw at the arcade. She was short, a little bit taller than Ochako. Just like he remembered, her hair parted straight down the middle, red and left. The burn mark was still there and a beautiful turquoise eye was hidden in it. She was wearing a baggy grey hoodie along with black sweatpants.
"Do you know where my room is?" The girl asked in a very monotone voice.
"Oh um no, but I know where you can find it, come with me." Izuku said as he walked out of his room, closing the door. And walked downstairs. 'How am I so lucky.' He thought as we walked down the stairs.
The girl followed but didn't say anything, she seemed not shy or awkward, just reserved. Izuku tried to remember her name, he remembered the guy calling her "Sho" but he assumed that was just a nickname. He found a paper with a picture that matched her face and found her name was "Shoko Todoroki" and handed her the paper.
"It'll be a pleasure learning to be a hero with you Todoroki-san." he said with a smile and confidence that Ochako and Momo helped him build up.
Although the girl didn't say anything she nodded a bit and just left, and a couple seconds later Izuku heard an engine outside. He moved to the window nearby and saw that a moving truck came to the building. There was a LOT of stuff.
'Holy! That might be more than Yaoyorozu is going to bring!' Izuku thought.
The guys from the moving truck took it all down while singing a song that was on the radio, Izuku recognized it from a band called Confetti, one that Jirou introduced him to, they laid the stuff in front of the building and then left. 'Wait, aren't they gonna help?' To this Shoko came downstairs and Izuku swore she saw her sweatdrop when she saw the amount of stuff was there.
"That's a lot…" He heard her say under her breath.
Izuku chuckled a bit, "Do you need help?" Izuku asked as he walked up to her.
The girl didn't look at him instead opting to look at the ground and she nodded her head almost as fast as Izuku would when he would watch videos of All Might as a kid. 'Ok so she might be reserved and shy.' Izuku thought.
But he only smiled at this and put a hand on her shoulder which made her jump a bit. "Well, then let's get to work, looks like you have a lot of stuff." he removed his hand and walked outside and started bringing in boxes.
'Ok, physical touch is a no go, that was honestly kind of stupid since I don't know her at all, but she jumped like a cat in a bath, something's up.' He didn't voice his thoughts and just got to moving the boxes.
It took them about an hour and a half but they brought in everything and set it in front of Shoko's door. She thanked him with a bow and he responded with a "I was just glad I could help Todoroki-san, no need to thank me" and then she got to work on setting up her room.
"Do you need any help Todoroki-san? That looks like a lot to do." Izuku said as she started moving boxes in. She looked like she thought for a second before shaking her head. "Well just tell me if you need anything, I'll help if you just ask, alright?" She looked at him for a second before slowly nodding.
A lot of time had passed since Shoko started working on her room. It was now approaching noon and Izuku was getting hungry, there was stuff in the fridge provided by the school. He could cook something and refill it later, he was allowed to use the ingredient since he was a student, and so he decided to make something. He knew that the school only provided lunch so he watched a couple of cooking tutorials made by lunch rush, so he was now a pro, or at least thought of himself as one. Gordon Ramsey would probably still yell at him. 'I wonder who would win in a screaming contest, Ramsey IX or Kacchan?' Izuku thought.
He made his way downstairs, making sure to close his door so no one would see all of his hero merch, and noticed Shoko wasn't there so he presumed that she was still working on her room. He started to make some soba, it wasn't the most complex dish and he was just hungry, he had everything done now he started to heat it up.
'I wonder if Todoroki-san would want any-'
"That's a crime!"
He yelped and turned to the kitchen archway to see Shoko. "What was that Todoroki-san?"
"That's a crime."
"What do you mean…." Shoko was pointing at the pot that Izuku was cooking, he looked towards the pot 'Crime? I was just heating it up' He turned back to Shoko. "Do you eat it cold, by chance?" Shoko nodded at this.
Izuku had to hold back a giggle, 'She could've just told me, it was a bit of an overreaction, but it was funny' He stopped the heating and grabbed a bowl and poured about half of the soba into the dish and handed it to Shoko. "You're probably hungry, doing all that moving all day, so here."
Shoko took a look at the bowl and then back to him, "For me?"
"Of course!" Izuku said with a small smile.
He looked at the bowl again and slowly took it. Izuku let her take her time. 'Not used to touch or being offered food, burn on her eye. Something is up.' She took the bowl and dug in. And she really seemed to like it, Izuku wasn't sure if this was because it was better cold, he was a bad cook, or she just really liked soba. Izuku decided to try a bit of cold soba that was in the pot and yeah, he didn't like it… 'How can she eat this!'
So he started warming up the pot which made Shoko stop eating her food. She didn't like when things were being boiled.
"S-Sorry, it's just too cold for me!" Izuku felt as his he offended her
She looked like she was thinking for a bit "It's fine." Still with a monotone voice, yet she sounded relieved, which Izuku assumed was good.
The two finished their food and were now in the common room sitting on separate couches., Izuku to relax and Shoko to….who knows? He couldn't get a read on her, she was just staring at Izuku, which made him very uncomfortable. He was about to open his mouth when she said something.
"What's your name?" She asked, this time not in her monotone voice, but a shy one. Proving that Izuku was right, she was shy.
"Oh, I'm Izuku Midoriya, sorry I didn't tell you earlier Todoroki-san." He said rubbing the back of his head in embarrassment, with a small smile.
She nodded and then got up and sat beside him on the couch. "Mind if I call you Izuku?" she wasn't looking at him and Izuku could tell she was nervous. 'Judging by the scar on her face and how jumpy she was when I touched her she might not have the best home experience, but her last name is Todoroki, the same as Endeavor, there are some rumors, but who knows.'
"Midoriya-san, you're scaring me…." Shoko said as she backed up from him a little.
Izuku's eyes widened a bit, he realized that he had been muttering the entire time, "Ah, I'm sorry. That's just a habit of mine…..and yeah you can call me Izuku, it's fine." Izuku swore he saw her smile a bit when he said that last part. "So, how'd everything with your room go, do you need help?" He asked mildly curious how she took care of it.
She squinted her eyes a bit and thought about it before looking at him, "Want to just come see?" She asked back to her monotone voice with an eyebrow raised.
"I-I uhh are you s-sure ii-t's ok to l-let a guy in y-your ro-oom?" he asked, blushing violently, looking like a tomato, except his now defined jawline stopped the whole tomato comparison. Maybe more of a strawberry now,
"I don't mind." was all he got back.
Izuku blanked, 'Ok, alright Izuku, you can do this' he gulped. "O-Oh, ok let's go then…." Izuku blushed as he spoke as confidently as he could, as she walked away she used her hand to tell him to follow her. And so he did.
They reached her room and she opened the door.
"WHAT THE HECK! HOW'D YOU DO THIS TODOROKI-SAN!" Izuku screamed as she seemed to have remodeled the entire room within just a day, it looked very japanese, classic not modern.
"Hard work." Izuku blinked
"Y-Yeah, ok….." He looked around and noticed that the furniture wasn't in yet, "Do you need help moving the furniture in?"
Shoko thought for a second and nodded slowly, "Alright, let's do this!" Izuku held his hand up for a fist bump, like he would do with Katuski or Ochako.
Shoko looked at the fist and slowly brought her hand up to it and bumped it. He got ready to grab the rest of the boxes outside the room but Shoko held onto his fistbump with her own hand.
"T-Todoroki-san! We should start moving the boxes!" Shoko looked at his hand once more and let go, "Sorry, your hands were warm."
Izuku nodded in understanding, even though he understood nothing, and they got on moving in the boxes that contained her furniture.
They eventually finished and the room looked complete, it had a desk and a night stand along with two dressers, Shoko was going to use a futon so there was no bed, it was in one of the dressers.
"Well I think we make a pretty good team, right Toshinori-san?" Shoko nodded rapidly causing her hair to go everywhere. "T-T-Todoroki-san, your hair's a mess!"
Shoko stopped nodding and looked at Izuku, her hair sticking out everywhere, she grabbed her long hair, "Oh.. Izuku can you get me my hair brush?"
"Oh, yeah, I can do that." He said, he walked over to the nightstand next to the desk and grabbed a hair brush from it. He walked over to Shoko and she turned so her back was facing him, "Todoroki-san?"
"Can you brush my hair for me?"
"O-Oh, yeah, sure." He said, 'She wants me to do what now!' He gulped.
Izuku grabbed the pack of her hair and slowly started combing through it. "Is this ok?" He asked and he felt Shoko nod. He started blushing at the closeness between them but kept on brushing her hair. "So Todoroki-san-"
"It's not fair."
"W-What isn't fair!" Izuku said quickly, 'Did I mess up? Crap what did I do?!'
"Friendships are supposed to be mutual right?" She asked.
Izuku was perplexed, she was acting like she had never had a friend before, "Yeah." He said slowly.
"Then since I'm calling you by your first name it's only fair that you call by your first name as well." She stated in the same cold tone she had used the entire day, though Izuku could tell that she was shy just like before.
"Oh, ok.. Shoko…" He felt the girl tense up but she soon relaxed. Izuku kept brushing her hair and undid any knots that he missed with the brush with his hands. Shoko started moving into his touch making Izuku blush more.
He soon finished combing and told Shoko, remembering to use her first name, he got a glimpse of outside through Shoko's blinds and saw that it was already dark, "Guess it's already time for me to go." Izuku said as he made his way to the door, Shoko wanted to say something but she didn't. Izuku looked back for a second, "Goodnight Shoko." He said with a smile.
"G-Goodnight to you too Izuku." He heard her say. His heart soared with how cute she sounded but he kept it to himself. He nodded and left the room.
The day ended and both of the soon to be heroes in training were in their respective rooms. Izuku was lying awake in bed, he was sleepy but he was thinking about what the caterpillar man said and his day with Shoko. He figured he would go to one of the school's gyms the next day and ask Shoko if she wanted to come with him, 'Maybe help other people move in too.'
His mind drifted off and he let sleep overtake him.
"Ice"
Izuku gasped as his eyes shot open, once again he resided in the void, though this time it was pure white with snow and ice scattered everywhere.
"Ice?" He asked.
'…. something to hide behind, something to hide in…. Ice is something very cold, a cold body, a cold mind, a cold heart...' It was the male voice, he sounded calm and his voice was soothing to the boy, despite the topic it was talking about.
"What do you mean?" Izuku asked.
'It is strong but has so many drawbacks, it closes itself off, it isolates itself, it only causes pain to itself and the others around it.
Izuku's mind instantly went to how Shoko acted today, asking how friends acted, quite and reserved, startled by touch? It was just like her, she had a frozen heart, "How do you repair, no that's not the right word, how do you heal a frozen heart." Izuku asked the voice.
A storm of ice and hail kicked up, knocking Izuku's hair around, but he stood as tall and confident as he could '…...the only way to fix a frozen heart is to warm it…' The voice said.
"F-Fire?"
'Good eye Midoriya Izuku'
"Izuku?"
Izuku rose from his slumber and looked around his room to see Shoko in his doorway, it was very dark but with the moonlight invading from the gaps in his curtain he could see glistening tears in her eyes.
"Sh-Shoko?" he said groggily, not feeling even slightly embarrassed about saying her first name this time. "Wh-What's wrong?!" he got off of his bed and walked to her having his hands up, hesitantly reaching for her. She didn't seem like a cryer from their day together.
"I-I umm….." she refused to look at him instead looking at the floor, one hand on her chest the other on the doorknob of Izuku's door. "had... a nightmare…..when...I..woke...up it was really cold, and I was crying…." she admitted with her voice trembling, it was the most emotion Izuku had heard in her voice the entire day.
'Whatever she dreamt about must have scared her a lot..'
"Look at me Shoko." he said her name again, this time with confidence. She complied and when she did Izuku was set ablaze, he was on fire however it wasn't hurting him but it was still fire just the mere sight of it made her scared.
'She's scared of fire? She's Endeavor's daughter isn't she?'Izuku wanted to grit his teeth, he didn't like the implications of what he was thinking, 'The only way to fix a broken heart is to warm it' He remembered the voice's words.
Shoko was about to run when Izuku grabbed her and wrapped her in a hug.
He didn't even realize what he had done until the action was already finished, he couldn't back down now, it would make everything awkward and Shoko seemed like she really needed someone to be able to talk to. He took a slow breath before deciding to speak, "Everything will be ok, nightmares are really scary I know." Izuku recounted the events of multiple nightmares he had had due to some scary movies he watched and his father never being around, which now didn't bug him as much, when he was little.
Izuku continued, "W-What are they about, if you don't mind me asking." he asked Shoko still in his arms. He could feel how tense she was, he wanted her to be able to relax.
"My, f-father, I just.. I can't. I'm scared.." Her voice filled with tears.
Izuku grimaced, he was right and he hated the fact that he was right, 'Endeavor, what the hell have you been doing to Shoko?!' He thought, he took a deep breath when he responded, "Well" Izuku took a pause, "You're at UA now, he can't reach you here Shoko." Izuku said, trying to calm her.
"But what if he-"
"He won't" Izuku sounded so confident, a far cry from the boy he was a year ago. "And even if he does, you'll soon have a bunch of classmates to protect you." He offered a smile.
"I-I'm not the best peoples person…" She admitted. Izuku guessed from the events of today.
"Then, I'll protect you!" Those four words, warm Shoko's heart.
Shoko loosened up a bit and he heard her say, "Do you promise?"
Izuku let go of the hug and looked Shoko in the eyes as he looked at her eyes, the burn on her face now standing out to Izuku, 'Endeavor I swear, if I ever see you, I don't care if your flames might be stronger than mine, I'll take you down!' Izuku thought. "Shoko, I promise." Izuku said.
The girl crumbled at the words and tackled Izuku into a hug and Izuku held her. "Thank you thank you thank you thank you." The girl repeated.
'She's never had hope before?' Izuku thought. He let Shoko cling to him, by the way she acted it was clear that she was starved for human contact.
"Shoko, let's get you to bed, you need your sleep." He felt Shoko shake her head in his chest, "You don't want to go to sleep..?"
"I don't want to be alone…" He heard her mumble.
Izuku felt something pierce his heart at that, "Hey, how about you stay here and take my bed, I'll go grab your futon from your room and use that, how about it?" Izuku asked. He felt Shoko shake her head against his chest again. "Why not?"
"I'll be alone for a bit…" Izuku felt the pain hit his heart again, "Then do you want to come with me?" He asked and he felt Shoko nod.
They made their way to Shoko's room, all the while the girl clung onto Izuku's arm. She really needed human contact, they arrived at her room and Izuku grabbed the futon and they made their way back.
Izuku opened the door for Shoko and she made her way inside, he had to calm himself down mentally, 'I have a girl in my room, god why didn't I think of this before, I'm so lucky that the lights are off and she can't see my hero merch! Would she care? How would she react?' Izuku took deep breaths and helped Shoko to the bed, since it was dark and she didn't know the layout of the room.
'None of that matters right now idiot.' He told himself as he got the futon ready, he laid down in it as Shoko laid down on his bed.
He felt slightly embarrassed about having someone sleeping in his bed but he didn't voice any of it.
"Hey Izuku." The boy turned his head towards the bed and saw a hand fall limply to the side of it. "Hold please…" He heard her say quietly.
Izuku gulped and eyed the hand, he slowly brought his own and held onto it, it was a small gesture but it meant a lot to the girl. They both drifted off and let sleep overtake them.
Izuku woke up the next morning, for once not having a dream related to his quirk. A cute looking Shoko slumbered in his bed. How proud would Inko be to see her boy all grown up? Izuku could only imagine that his old apartment would be flooded, 'Yeah, mom would freak out..'
Izuku rose out of bed and put the futon away, making sure not to wake up Shoko in the process, she looked very cozy in bed and he didn't want to ruin that, 'After all with the way she acted yesterday, when was the last time she had a good night's sleep, how often does she have nightmares'Izuku shook his head and left his room to go prepare breakfast. Getting a glance at his clock he saw it was 7:15. 'No one should be coming for a while.'
Izuku started cooking some eggs and bacon, when he heard an engine? Huh that was weird-
"I will not be late to unpack my belongings into my accommodation!" Izuku knew that voice and he smiled, he turned to the door and saw a familiar face, Tenya Iida. In all of his jock nerd glory.
"Hey Iida-kun!" he waved from the kitchen, Iida quickly noticed him and walked towards Izuku.
"Ah, Midoriya-san, you decided to start early too I see and why do you make so much food, were you anticipating more people coming?" Iida asked the boy who matched his height.
Izuku stared at the food he was making and realized he made enough for at least four people. He only planned on making food for himself and Shoko, the girl would probably want something when she woke up. "Uh, no I wasn't I guess I just did it by accident." He then proceeded to place enough food on three plates. "Here eat up."
Iida took the plate. "Why thank you Midoriya, I didn't get a chance to eat before I came so this is a nice gift." He eyed the third plate, " I'm assuming there's a third person here?"
"Uh yeah, I'm gonna go give them their plate. I'll see you later." Izuku ran off with a plate for Shoko.
This immediately grabbed Iida's attention as Izuku was rather quick to leave so he put down his own plate on the kitchen counter and followed his friend to a higher floor.
Izuku quickly entered his room and closed the door. Iida arrived and looked at the name plate that said "Midoriya" and put his ear to the door.
"Hey, To-" After what happened last night, Izuku totally forgot that he was able to call her Shoko but quickly remembered "Hey, Shoko, wake up." he gave her a slight nudge.
"Five more minutes….no training.." she said groggily
'Training? Why do I feel like that's not good either' Izuku sighed and put the plate on the nightstand, "Hmmmm, fine...your food is here for when you wake up." He set the plate on his desk and walked out of the room and opened the door.
"Ah, hello Midoriya-san."
"I-I-I-Iida-kun!" Izuku closed the door and wrapped his arm around Iida's head and brought him down into a kind of huddle. He was blushing a bright red, once more resembling a strawberry "Ok, so how much do I have to explain?" He asked, whispering
"A lot."
Izuku sighed and said two words "Damn it." Izuku borrowed some of Katsuki's vocabulary and motioned for Iida to follow him downstairs.
The two boys went to the kitchen and Izuku explained the situation, what happened last night and what he knew about the girl, he left out the fact of what he was suspecting Endeavor of though. He thought that Iida would get a little mad and say it was inappropriate for a hero candidate but instead he applauded him for helping someone who he had barely just met like that, even if it was through unconventional means…
"Thanks Iida-kun, I just don't know if she's alright…"
"It's completely understandable, but I'm sure that once more of the class arrives she'll start to feel better having more people to be around."
"I hope so."
It was now just about to reach 10:00 so the boys decided to hang out in the common room and set up a console on the tv, one that Izuku brought with him, as they were now playing Smash Bros, and they decided to order pizzas when it hit 11:00
"Hello, Izuku." Both boys turned from the couch to see Shoko still in her pajamas (think Megumin's pajamas but blue instead of red)
Izuku blushed a little before letting it die down, "Oh, hey Shoko, so did you have a nice five minutes?" Izuku asked in a smug tone that both people there didn't believe he could do.
"Y-Yeah but I'm a little hungry still, soba can only fill you up so much and that's all I ate yesterday. So thank you for breakfast." She said as she scratched her eyes and yawned.
"Well we're gonna order some pizzas at 11:00, so don't worry, ok?" Izuku gave her a smile.
"Pizza! Aw hell yeah!" The three people turned to see four people, one of which was being stabbed by an earphone jack. "Shut up! Stop being so loud!
"Jiro-san!" Both Izuku and Iida said in unison.
"Oh, hey guys" The punk girl said back as if she wasn't stabbing someone right now.
"Jiro-san, as happy as I am to see one of my friends again, I must ask that you stop stabbing one of our classmates" Jiro sighed but complied and Iida got a thank you from the boy with yellow hair that was stabbed.
The two other people then peered out from behind Jiro, revealing an alien looking girl with pink skin with hair that matched and horns. Along with an invisible girl.
"As happy as I am, can you guys set me down, that aux thing really hurts." The blonde said and Izuku and Iida helped him over to a couch.
Izuku and Iida set the guy on the couch and the two other girls decided to introduce themselves. "The pink one pointed a thumb at herself, "My name's Mina Ashido." The other girl looked like she was waving her arms around and introduced herself and Toru Hagakure. Three girls went to go find their rooms soon after.
"So what's your name?" Izuku asked the blonde on the couch.
"Oh, Kaminari Denki, and thanks for helping me out."
"No problem, right Iida-kun?"
"Yes Midoriya-san, as peers it is our duty to help each other whenever we can!"
The girl's eventually came down and Iida placed the pizza order in and they all just chatted for a while, except Shoko who was sitting next to Izuku and not talking to anyone, Izuku tried to convince her into at least changing into normal clothes but she shook her head, much to Izuku's dismay.
They yellow haired boy, now known as Kaminari, brought up his quirk and so everyone started talking about their own.
Kaminari could produce electricity though he had terrible control over it.
Jiro had earphone jacks that hung from her ears giving her better hearing.
Iida had engines in his calves making him faster.
Mina, the alien girl, could produce acid from her pores.
Toru was invisible….yeah…..
Then it was Shoko's turn, "I-I can control fire and ice, though I don't like my hair…or fire.." she said looking down in a sad tone, Izuku wanted to comfort her so he gave her a hug hoping to make her feel bet-
"Izuku!" two VERY familiar voices yelled as Izuku heard footsteps move towards the couch.
Izuku looked up from Shoko to see Momo and Ochako waving at him. And the two froze when they saw him hugging some girl they had never met before.
"Oh hey, what's up guys?" Izuku let go of Shoko and threw the girls a smile.
'I can't be mad at him' they both thought in unison, but they could be jealous of this new girl, and they were.
Izuku and Iida got up as Iida got a notification on his phone that his pizzas were ready.
"Midoriya I insist you let me go get the food, I did order it after all!" Iida said as he chopped the air with BOTH hands, he must've been eager to eat….
"Well I don't think you'll be able to carry all that by yourself so I'll come with you." Both boys walked to the door when they were approached by Kaminari.
"Dude, I'm gonna be honest I can't wait for some food, mind if I come with?" Kaminari asked the boys which they agreed to, the more help the faster they could get the food back to the dorms, leaving the girls behind.
All the girls were still in the common room, and all seemed to be staring at Shoko, did she have something on her face?
"So, Todoroki-san, what's your relationship with Izuku?" Momo asked while sipping a cup of tea.
"I met him yesterday, and he is my first ever friend." Shoko said a slight smile on her face. "He helped me yesterday moving my stuff, with some nightmares, and he made me some food when I was hungry." She said in her usual monotone voice, though no one could pinpoint that there was something else hidden underneath it.
The girl's were touched by Shoko's words as what she said seemed very much like things Izuku would do.
"So, do you have a crush on him?" Ashido said giggly, Momo and Ochako getting a little grumbly about it.
"What is a crush?"
All of the girls looked at her with wide eyes "Do you really not know!"
"No?"
-With the Boyssss-
"Say Midoriya, what's up with you and that Todoroki girl?" Kaminari asked the boy as they just reached UA and were now heading to the dorm building. Each was carrying a varying number of Pizza boxes.
"Well, she's a friend and I don't know maybe there's something more, but right now I just wanna make sure that she's ok, since she didn't seem to have the best home life, and she seems like she just needs a friend." Izuku said, he was sure that his theory was very close to correct.
Both Iida and Kaminari were saluting at their friend with tears coming out of their eyes.
"Beautiful, truly beautiful Midoriya!" Iida said
"Yeah man, that was so sweet!" Kaminari added, crying a bit.
"T-Thanks guys…" They entered the building and didn't find the girls there. 'Hmm I guess they can get food later' Izuku thought as they sat the box of pizzas on the table.
Izuku ate two slices of pizza and went to go work out and he was later accompanied by Iida when he went for a run. He spent about four hours working out, judging by the caterpillar guy he saw when he first got to the dorms he'd need the training.
I advise that you prepare.
Izuku gulped just thinking about the memory for some reason. The guy looked so unprofessional but he exuded this aura of danger that Izuku almost couldn't comprehend.
"I will prepare and I'll do my best!" Izuku yelled as he went from a jog to a full on sprint, One For All hitting his 8% limit before dropping back down to 7%, 'Higher!' Izuku thought as he kept on going.
"I will excel!" And the boy ran all the way back to the dorms.

"So that's what a crush is?" Shoko asked the girls that were in her room.
"Yuh huh!" Toru said, shaking her arms around accompanied by Mina staring at the girl with a smile. "So, do you have a crush on him?" they both asked in unison. They both looked at Shoko with anticipation, while Momo and Ochako were hoping that her answer was no.
"I guess I do." She said with a smile on her face, of course she didn't let the girls see that though.
Momo and Ochako both felt a little, well they weren't sure what it was. Of course they didn't want the girl to like Izuku, but she really seemed like she needed it.
Momo sighed, 'I guess this will be alright, Izuku wouldn't let her feel pain either, knowing him he'll do his best to help her'
'She needs it, she needs Izuku to help her, no matter if I don't like it, it's the right thing.' Ochako thought to herself.
Mina turned to her invisible buddy, "So are we going to make Uraraka and Yaomomo say it, or expose them!"
"Expose!"
"YOU TWO LIKE MIDORIYA JUST LIKE SHOKO, RIGHT?!"
Chapter 7: First Day
It'd been a weird three weeks. Izuku's dreams had kicked up once more after his night with Shoko, someone that he had started hanging out a lot with, and they were more cryptid now, they hid secrets and Izuku didn't know what they meant.
He'd always write them down in a dream journal that he made with his spare notebooks, and he understood a couple.
Besides the dreams the rest of the time was alright. All of Izuku's classmates had moved into the dorms and he'd done a good amount of working out. The caterpillar's words kept invading his thoughts whenever he was relaxing.
I advise that you prepare.
The words sounded so ominous to Izuku and when he thought about them he was also set on edge, so he'd usual work out to get his mind off of it, or talk with some of his classmates, on somes runs he'd even managed to talk to some kids from 1-B! He kept on telling himself he needed to go visit but he was always either working out or resting his aching muscles that he didn't have a chance, and then he also got distracted by his classmates!
A lot of them were really nice, though some of his peers creeped him out or just scared him a bit. Like the pervert Mineta that Jirou would be constantly stabbing, he didn't dislike the boy but he felt that Mineta's attitude wasn't right for heroics. Then there was Ashido who would keep on coming over to him when he cooked and would hug him out of nowhere! He had no idea why but he didn't want to be rude and say no, it was just uncomfortable.
He didn't notice the jealous stares from Ochako or Momo or the contemplative one from Shoko.
And then there was Katsuki, he was livid when he saw Izuku, just straight up every profanity you could ever think of even the ones in different languages. Ok so maybe he was still a little mad that Izuku had gotten first place in the entrance exam.
"Kacchan! I didn't even know there were rescue points I swear!"
"Stupid Deku! How the hell did you beat me by 60 points, that's bullshit!"
Conversations like that were the norm for the two boys to have whenever they saw each other around the dorms.
And this day was no different, except.
The two boys passed each other in the halls, somehow not sparking one of their conversations that would leave Katsuki fuming. Izuku took a deep breath once they were both a couple of feet apart., "I'm not an extra like everyone in middle school was to you anymore Kacchan, I've gotten a lot stronger with my quirk.."
"You think I don't know that Deku!" Katsuki had a slight smirk on his face which Izuku matched. They turned around and looked at each other, they both felt it, there was this spark, this flame between them now, it wasn't there before, it hadn't been there for years. Before it was a cool river, they were friends, but they weren't friends anymore, they were rivals.
"Better watch out or I'll take the top spot, just like the entrance exam!."
Katsuki gained a tick mark "Like hell you would!" Katsuki rose up his fist, passerbys in the hall thought he was gonna punch Izuku but Izuku simply bumped his fist with Katsuki's.
"Ready to take UA by storm?"
"Tch, like I wouldn't have done that if you didn't ask."
And now it was time for their first day. Izuku had trained and studied hard just like that caterpillar guy told him. Now it was time to head out, to take another step towards achieving his lifelong dream of being a hero! He had made breakfast for himself and others and some people made their own food. In essence now they were all rested up and ready to go.
Everyone was pumped, excluding Shoko and Mineta, Shoko didn't show that much emotion besides when she was with Izuku who she was spending a lot more time with, and Mineta was kind of a coward.
On the other hand there were people like Eiko Kirishima, she constantly talked about being manly and accompanied Izuku on some of his work out sessions and would hang out with Katsuki too, a feat that no one else in the class had accomplished, even Izuku, since Katsuki was still miffed that the greanette took first place from him.
Although Izuku had felt happy that he was gonna experience his first day at UA he was also nervous because of the caterpillar guy, 'I need to learn his actual name, I can't just keep on calling him caterpillar guy'. There was just something about him that put Izuku on edge. Nevertheless
"Let's do this!" All of class 1-A screamed at once when they left the dorm building.
It wasn't a long walk to the main part of campus, not even ten minutes.
Everyone was in the classroom and were talking amongst themselves. Eiko was with Kaminari and they were talking to Katsuki or at least trying. Though the pomeranian wasn't entering the conversation, he was listening a bit, which was good in Izuku's book.
Jirou, Momo, Ochako, Iida, and Shoko were hanging out though Shoko wouldn't talk that much, but tried her best to interact with people that Izuku considered friends, maybe they would be her friends too. And they would sometimes glance over to Izuku who was sitting by himself.
Over the past three weeks he had been having more and more of those strange dreams. In some of the dreams he could move but was restricted to certain elements. And those elements seemed to be connected to the voice he heard. It was either kind and masculent and wise or feminine and kind of like Katsuki, just a girl,
He had paid it no mind and thought they were just weird dreams at the time but now he started thinking more and more about them ever since he started writing in the journal.'
'Everytime I dream it's something about my powers, is there something that I don't know about them? But what could tha-'
"Everyone take your seats now." A gruff and tired voice said as it entered the classroom, Izuku tense, because he knew that voice, 'Caterpillar guy!'
The entire class looked confused at the man who definitely did not get enough sleep.
"I could expel all of you right now if you'd like." The man said in a MUCH more aggressive tone that got everyone to scramble to their seats.
"That took you almost a half a minute, disappointing." The man pulled out the UA PE uniform. "Hurry up and put these on and then meet me outside."
"But sir! What about orientat-"
Izuku shot out of his seat and walked towards the front of the class and grabbed a uniform, 'AN ACTUAL UA SPORTS UNIFORM, AND IT'S MINE!' On the outside he said yes sir and walked out of class.
Some people were stunned, why the heck would he trust this hobo looking dude that probably wasn't a teacher? "Now that boy is rational, you are not." And the man then left the class as well.
The entire class came outside, now in uniform, they had no idea what to do without an actual teacher so they just did what he said. And now they all looked at the man skeptically, he didn't even give an introduction just told them to get outside in PE uniforms, no name, no hero name, no nothing.
"Alright, now that you're all out here I believe introductions are in order." Students sighed, 'Yeah that's supposed to come first!' Many of them thought, "My name is Shouta Aizawa and I will be your homeroom teacher and today we'll be doing a quirk assessment test." Aizawa looked between both Izuku and Katsuki
"Bakugo and Midoriya, I want you to both do the ball throw."
The two boys in question looked at each other and smirked, who knew they'd get to face off so early. And while they were pumped to face off everyone else in the class was freaking about what they'd do. "Aizawa-sensei why both of them!" Iida asked with a hand up.
Aizawa sighed, "Because Iida, while Midoriya placed first overall, Bakugo placed first in villain points, so this is the best demonstration I can give, now Bakugo you're up first, all you gotta do is throw this ball with the use of you quirk if it'll help." Aizawa said still in a tired voice as he threw Katsuki a baseball, "This ball will track your throw, so go all out, just don't leave the circle."
Katsuki smirked, "Watch and learn Deku."
"Right back at you, Bakugo." This made Katsuki flinch, he was gonna KILL this ball, he was gonna kill the nerd, he was gonna blow the nerd out of the water!
He entered the circle and took a deep breath as he clenched the ball. 'Alright Katsuki, the biggest most controlled explosion you can do, right here, right now' Everyone was still, for the first time Katsuki looked calm, like he was thinking about what he was gonna do.
'No doubt, this'll be amazing' Izuku thought as he saw Katsuki reel his arm back. He threw his arm forward and his sweat ignited, "DIE! YOU! BASTARD" Wind blew up, causing some students to cover themselves, and Mineta to almost go flying.
"Alright, 710 meters, pretty good." The man seemed very unimpressed when he said the score, or maybe it was just because he was tired? That may have been it. While the students were-
"Holy shit."
"I'm supposed to compete with that…."
"No way Midoriya can top that."
Izuku heard that last comment and it sort of ticked him off. 'I've gotten stronger, I'm strong too.' He looked back to the class and he could see a black haired kid, Sero, tense. He smirked a little, "That a challenge?"it was something in him that compelled him to say that and it felt natural. Before Sero could answer, Izuku walked past Katsuki and received his own ball to throw.
"Oh Sero-sun, why?"Momo asked.
"Those bettin' words." Ochako looked like she wanted popcorn with her wide smile. Some hadn't seen Izuku's quirk yet, and others hadn't seen the progress he had made in those three weeks. The UA gym helped Izuku work wonders, it helped it get a better grasp on One For All threw the training bots but it also helped him work on combo elements since he had targets to work with.
'Big deep breaths, need to calm my breathing, man my hearts racing.' Izuku took deep breaths as he kept on walking.
'Alright, I guess I'll follow Kacchan's example, big explosion got it, what could I do? Wind might work, I could catapult it with earth, power throw with fire or a fast throw with lighting..' Izuku was now in the throwing circle and was now thinking about HOW he would cause a big explosion. 'Wait.. explosion.' Izuku got giddy as his smile stretched from ear to ear. 'Thanks Kacchan.'
The people that saw his smile shivered, it was a scary thing, 'Wind to help it carry itself in the air, fire and earth to make the actual explosion and 8% of One For All to add extra power. The explosion by itself might get 600 meters since it's a good recreation of the actual thing but with One For All, sorry Kacchan….but I'm not losing to you!'
"Hey Kacchan, how'd you do it again?" Katsuki, cocked an eyebrow at the greenette
"What the hell are you talking about Deku?"
Some of the class didn't like the way Izuku asked that. It sounded too smug.
He took his stance, and cocked his arm back. 'One For All: Full Cowling, Combo Element: Explosion!' "Oh right." Izuku's arm became a blur as he threw it forward, "DIE!" An explosion that actually caused Mineta to go flying was produced, the class stared wide eyed as the wind and dust began to die down.
'The hell did he just copy my quirk' Katsuki thought.
The rest of the dust cleared and Aizawa stood, his hair more of a mess than it was before, "1000 meters, very good Midoriya." The man still seemed very unimpressed the complete opposite of his students. 'He's combining different aspects of his quirks, smart, doubt any of the other first years could do something like that if they had his quirk, but what's with the super strength?' Aizawa stared as Izuku stepped out of the throwing circle.
"Holy crap Midoriya, that was so cool!"
"That was really manly dude!"
"Pretty amazing kero."
Everyone was in awe, Bakugo's show of strength was absolutely amazing but Izuku, second coming of christ.
"DEKU, HOW THE HELL DID YOU COPY MY QUIRK, HURRY UP AND TELL ME!" Katsuki exploded his way over to Izuku and the greanette was ready to dodge though he wasn't ready for Katsuki to stop when he was wrapped in a cloth, "THE HELL?!"
"Bakugo, you're going to stop now, or else be expelled." Aizawa said as his hair floated and eyes glowed red. Izuku saw a faint hint of a pair of golden goggles underneath the cloth that Aizawa used.
'Wait it can't be' "ERASERHEAD!" He heard some classmates ask, "Who dat?" And heard Aizawa groan. "IT IS ERASERHEAD! THE ERASURE HERO!" Izuku started listing off facts like his quirks, Erasure, that let him erase a person's quirk for as long as he had looked at them and had his eyes open, the fact that he fights quirkless, that he transferred into the hero course from General Studies, and more.
"DEKU, DON'T YOU FUCKING NERD OUT, HOW'D YOU DO THAT EXPLOSION SHIT!" Katsuki yelled from within his binds.
Izuku perked up, "Oh, Kacchan, right right right. You see I didn't copy your quirk, I just sorta remade an explosion using my quirk."
"The fuck.."
"Well you see, I call it combo elements, and it's me using my 5 established elements to make a new one, so I used wind, fire and earth to make an explosion. So I didn't copy your quirk, I merely used my own quirk to make a recreation of yours."
Some people stared dumbfounded while Izuku smiled a bit, that was a lot of work to do for something like that. "Oh Mr. Eraserhead can you let Kacchan go, please.." Izuku pressed his hand together in a praying motion, it was good will, and Aizawa let Katsuki go, "It's Mr. Aizawa problem child."
'Problem child?'
"Alright now come on we got other tests to do."
The class moved to follow and surprisingly instead of finishing the ball test, they went on to the 50 meter-dash.
Aizawa sighed when he got there and rubbed his eyes "Alright pick a partner to run with when you finish, move on to the next one, got it?." Aizawa was a little bit more serious this time.
"Man after that whole thing will the ball tests I just realized, we actually get to use our quirks!" Kaminari was giddy, after years of being restricted by laws they finally got to use their quirks!
"You barely just realized that?" Jirou asked.
"I mean yeah…"
"God you're a dork!"
"He is but Kaminari's right! We get to use our quirks! This is going to be fun, right Kiri!"
"Yeah Shido!" Eiko replied.
"Fun, huh?" The student's conversation was cut in by Aizawa and they all turned to see his hair floating and his eyes were a bright red.
Eiko gulped, "Well yeah, we finally get to use our quirks without any legal repercussions so it seems fun." She said.
"No repercussions? Well guess what, whoevers scores last between all the tests will be expelled." Now Aizawa was both very serious and slightly angry.
All Aizawa was met with was multiple people saying that it "wasn't fair, unfair, not right" and a bunch of other things. Even Iida thought it was a bit extreme, and it was Iida!
Izuku listened to the yells, it may not have been fair but the life of a hero wasn't fair. Izuku almost died twice, against the Sludge villain and the Bakery Fire pyromaniac. 'The life of a hero isn't a safe one, I only got saved by All Might and my quirk evolution.' Izuku thought, "Shut up." They were all cut off by, not Aizawa, but Izuku.
Everyone thought Izuku was a pretty chill guy so what the hell gives?
"Heroes risk their lives every day, villains aren't going to be fair to us. They're going to try to kill us and if you can't handle training to prevent that then, I'm sorry but you shouldn't be here." Izuku said sincerely, "There are a lot of risks, but that's why we train to get rid of them, we're all reaching for the top, and that means someone has to be at the bottom." He finished. He thought that he sounded very cold and to be fair it did but it also brought insight into his classmates.
This also made Aizawa recoil a bit before smiling a bit. 'This kid was rational and he knew the consequences of not taking stuff seriously, perhaps something happened with him or his quirk.' He sighed and even though it was a quiet sigh, the fact that everyone was silent made it louder, "Alright, now hurry up and do your tests."
They all lined up for the 50 meter-dash. Izuku analyzed everyone that went, Aoyama had a naval lazar and used the force produced by it to fly across the run, it worked until the lazer miraculously stopped and Aoyama fell. 'Perhaps he can only use the lazar for a couple of seconds? Possible drawbacks. Stomach aches maybe? Core muscle pain? Can't tell yet.'
Other people did their runs, people that stood out were Asui who had frog features. Iida did his run and got 3.04 seconds. "That's fast…" He heard Ochako say next to him.
"Yeah, it is." Izuku gulped, he didn't know how he would stack against that.
The last two were Izuku and Katsuki himself. They both lined up on the starting line "Ready Kacchan?" Izuku asked and the boy just tsked.
The countdown started and Izuku closed his eyes. He searched for the familiar warmth of One For All and let it flow throughout his entire body, the start up time was less than a second now. Once Full Cowling was complete he added lightning to the mix, 'This is the max speed I'll be able to do, One For All Full Cowling 8% plus Lightning!'
Katsuki grit his teeth when he saw Izuku get ready, he clenched his hands and readied his sweat. "3-2-1-GO!" Izuku's leg stiffened and he exploded off of his starting point and Katsuki let off explosions trying to keep up with him.
They both passed the line and Izuku's time sounded off as 2.57 seconds, while Katsuki got 4.03. Izuku took deep breaths and waited for Katsuki to explode, but the blonde didn't, he instead walked away.
The next test was grip strength and Izuku barely got second. He used the enhanced strength he got from his earth powers and 8% of One For All to do his best, but he lost to someone named Mezou Shoji. The guy had multiple arms, 'He's so strong, I need to get better.' Izuku thought as he left the test.
Izuku cleared the sand box with his wind powers on the standing long jump. It wasn't that hard, since he could use wind to just keep himself in the air, he was working on flying but had no luck.
He got second with side steps since Mineta bounced off of balls and got 1st with no effort, yeah that one was actually a smart thing to do on Mineta's part. 'Smart idea, and is he the only one that is bouncing off of them? What are their properties? How many can he make?'
And they were back at the throwing test and Ochako got 1st place on the ball throw scoring-
"INFINITY WHAT THE HELL ROUND FACE!"

Ochako rubbed the back of her head and smiled, "Man that was super hard." She said as she passed Katsuki. The boy gained a tick mark but didn't do anything.
The rest of the tests passed by with ease and Izuku scored fairly well.
Overall Izuku got 1st place which pleased him a lot, Momo ended up getting 2nd, Shoko got 3rd, and much to the annoyance of Bakugo he got 4th, Iida placed 5th, and Ochako placed 6th (trained with Momo and Izuku if you wanted to know why.)
All in all a lot of people were happy with their ranking, well except Bakugo and-
"WAHHH, I DON'T WANNA GO HOME, PLEASE DON'T EXPEL ME!" the resident pervert said.
"And why not, give me one good reason." Aizawa said, in all honesty. His threats were NOT empty and he was ready to kick the short stack to the curb, or at least General Studies.
"Eh?"
"I said give me one good reason, don't make me repeat myself again." He said.
Izuku thought about what the boy did during the side step test. "Mr. Aizawa!" The teacher's gaze shifted from Mineta to Izuku and the greanette gulped, "What?"
"During the side steps Mineta came up with an amazing idea to use his quirk in a roundabout way, he has potential with his quirk and his thought process, I'm sure that he could do something like that again if you let him stay." Izuku said.
While his speech earlier was correct, life was unfair a lot, Mineta showed potential with his quirk, and showed that he had a mind to compliment it.
"You bring up good points Midoriya, fine Mineta, but if you give me an opportunity I will expel you." Aizawa said as he walked away. "Class syllabus forms will be on my desk in class."
Mineta began crying happy tears and hugged Izuku's leg since he was kinda short. Well safe to say Izuku made another friend.
He eventually got Mineta off of his leg and he saw that Shoko was walking towards him.
"C-Congratulations Izuku." She was acting more shy then the monotone that most of the class had gotten used to. "Thanks Shoko!" Izuku smiled, "And congrats to you too! You did really well, I mean using your ice basically as a wave to ride on that's amazing!"
Her eyes widened a bit, she looked kinda like a surprised cat, "R-Really?"
"Yeah! I mean, third place in the entire class is amazing!"
"Oh, w-well thank you.."
"GOD, FUCKING GET OVER YOURSELVES, SHITTY DEKU, HALF N' HALF!"
"Kacchan…" Izuku groaned.
"DON'T KACCHAN ME FUCKING LOSER!"
"Someone's mad about their placement." Ochako said smugly.
"THE FUCK WAS THAT PINK CHEEKS!"
"Nothing nothing, don't worry about it Bakugo-san." Momo replied.
-Afterschool-
Izuku had just gotten back from his workout, it was nice, the UA gyms were really useful. He managed to use One For All at 9% for a couple of seconds, before his muscles yelled at him to stop.
So he was sweaty and was just about to go take a shower, when he noticed that all the girls were in the common room, he did wonder what they're talking about. But he did have other things to take care of so he decided to not worry about it, plus it seemed like they were having some nice girl time and Shoko needed to talk with more people and he didn't want to ruin it.
'Wonder if Kaminari could use some help with his quirk? I wonder if his lightning works like mine.' Izuku thought randomly as he went to get his clothes.
"Ok, but do you think he'll actually go along with it? I mean he'll probably invite either me or Iida to go with you guys." Jirou said to the group, twirling her earjack around her finger as she worked on song lyrics.
"Don't worry, we got that covered!" Mina and Toru both exclaimed together. "So you three will have a great time, now you just gotta go ask Midori!"
"But whennnnnnn?" Ochako sounded really impatient like she'd been waiting for this for months.
"How about this Friday! I don't think this week will be as hard as next week, since they'll probably be making classes harder as we go along, so we should do it as soon as possible!" Momo was acting like a little kid that was about to go to the zoo. She had sparkles in her eyes and was giving a smile that rivaled that of Izuku's
"Seems….like a good idea…." Shoko was still keeping herself reserved. Honestly she didn't know if this was a good idea. In her defense they were planning on becoming heroes anything can happen. But on the other hand Izuku made her feel special and she wanted more of that feeling.
"Man, Midori is gonna be blown away, we'll meet back up tomorrow and talk about it more, got it girls?" Mina was super excited, she considered herself a sort of love guru, though she's never helped anyone with love before.
"Got it."
"Alright."
"Yeah…"

Izuku finished his shower and walked out of his restroom, he sighed as he let the cool air of his room fill his lungs. He walked over and fell onto his bed and closed his eyes and relaxed. His first day at UA had been a very very long one. But he did not dislike it, he'd have to get used to it if he was gonna be a hero.
But he'd also have to get used to his powers. While he had gotten a long way with both One For All and his elemental powers, he knew that he could get better. Not with power with his elements but with the use and strategies and combinations that were possible, but he'd also have to lessen the drawbacks like the fatigue.. And he still only had 8% of One For All unlocked so far.
He'd have to train a lot to get stronger but first, gotta rest. He yawned and let sleep overtake him, maybe he'd have another dream.
'This world makes everything seem so black and white' a male voice said, the male voice said.
Izuku's eyes shot up and he jumped to his feet, he looked around and saw the silhouette of the man, the white silhouette, take form. 'Woah…' He was covered in white robe with matching hair, along with a black shirt under the robe, blue pants being hidden under the robe.. and he had blue eyes. He was middle, he had a short beard and full white hair.
'Much like you Izuku' this time it was the woman's voice, her get up the opposite of the man, sporting a messy bun and piercing red eyes. She was also very young, seemingly mid 20s. A black robe with a white undershirt and crimson red shorts.
"What….what are you talking about?" He was so confused, he knew that he had heard them so much before in his dreams. But, how do they have their own faces? The human brain isn't strong enough to make a whole new person on it's own, someone needs to think up features and Izuku certainly didn't think about people that looked like this!
'You Will See….'
"Midoriya-san, come on, it's time for breakfast, Midoriya-san?"
Izuku took deep breaths for air as he realized he was in his bed, sunlight hitting his eyes and illuminating his room. "Y-Yeah, sorry Iida, give me a minute!" He sat up on his bed, "What the hell was that…"
