"You won't let me hold you because you know I have a child now?" Grace Adams looked curiously at the old cat she had raised for twenty years.
Celebanquet sat down, its tail sweeping against the ground, and let out a short 'meow' toward Grace, as if responding to her question.
"Celebanquet..." Grace was touched.
They say that animals can become spiritual beings after living long enough, and perhaps it's true. Celebanquet often felt like an old friend to her.
"I can't hold you, but can we live together? Will you come to my place with me? I'm sorry for leaving you with someone else three months ago. I won't leave you again."
As Grace spoke, she suddenly thought of her and Benjamin Moreland's situation.
Benjamin had said something similar to her.
