Lucas Walker saw that the two were safe and sound and let out a subtle sigh of relief. He asked gently,
"Why are you two still awake?!"
Perry Walker lifted his big eyes and looked at the two. "I want to sleep with Daddy and Mommy, is that okay?"
The little guy clutched a small lion plushie he's used to sleeping with, his wide black eyes blinking as he gazed at Lucas Walker expectantly.
"Me too."
Gepard Walker, who normally wasn't one to cling to others, also chimed in from the side.
The two little ones had already been settled by Ivana for baths and bedtime. She had assumed that, being children, they wouldn't harbor such heavy thoughts.
Who would've thought they still hadn't fallen asleep?
Seeing the two little ones standing outside the door, Ivana couldn't help but feel a wave of heartache.
"Of course, you can!" She gently stroked their little faces. "Come in!"
