Perry Reed stood quietly to one side, staring intently at her.
Flossie Wright leaned back slowly, her expression tinged with a hint of sadness, but it quickly vanished without a trace.
"I need to know," Perry bent down, his hands braced on the tabletop. As he leaned closer, he was almost touching Flossie, his eyes locked onto hers, their noses nearly touching. His voice was resolute and powerful, "I am giving you a choice now: either tell me the reason properly, or I'll blow up their campsite in two hours. You should know I can do it."
Word by word, all fell into her ears.
Flossie frowned, shaking her head to make herself a bit more clear-headed.
She could hear what Perry was saying and still had room for thought, but she couldn't make a choice immediately.
Perry's expression was very calm, without any threatening intent.
But, he had always been a man of his word.
For her sake, he didn't mind becoming an enemy of a country.
