"He was part of that mission."
Flossie Wright mentioned it casually, as if simply stating a fact.
And she didn't seem to take it to heart.
As soon as she finished speaking, she shoved the cup into Perry Reed's hand.
Gripping the cup tightly, Perry Reed's face turned dark instantly, and he pulled Flossie Wright into his arms.
Flossie frowned.
Before she could speak, Perry Reed spoke first, "He knows?"
His enunciation was clear, but a trace of anger seemed to grind out from between his teeth.
"Yes."
Flossie stood still, unmoving.
"Did he know before you?" Perry Reed continued to ask.
"Yes." Flossie's expression was indifferent.
Some matters, since they have been initiated, might as well be clarified with Perry Reed.
"So he hid it from you." Perry Reed spoke each word slowly, his voice cold to the extreme.
Flossie squinted her eyes slightly, her brows furrowing unconsciously.
She did not respond.
However, the conclusion was clear.
Perry Reed released her.
