Kris Cooper forced a cold sneer from between his gritted teeth. "Alright, say it. What is so important?"
This time, facing Kris Cooper again, Nathan Leafcastle's tone was much colder.
"It concerns her privacy. I cannot tell you."
"Alright, very good!" Kris Cooper turned towards the elevator. Spotting a security guard by the elevator entrance, he turned back and pointed at Nathan Leafcastle. "Remember this man. Don't let him set foot inside the Ashton Building!"
Nathan Leafcastle's eyebrows twitched sharply. As he watched Kris Cooper saunter toward the elevator, anxiety welled up inside him, and he called out harshly.
"Kris Cooper, stop!"
Kris Cooper turned around slowly, giving him a dismissive glance.
"I don't want to put Vera in a difficult position, which is why I've been showing you some respect... Learn to take a hint!"
