When Sofia Hamilton woke up, all she could smell was the sharp, overwhelming scent of disinfectant.
She opened her eyes, still in a dazed and confused state.
How did she end up here?
"You're awake?"
A familiar voice sounded beside her. She turned her head and saw Charlie Harris sitting next to her.
His face was full of sorrow and reluctance, and that expression instantly brought back memories of what had happened before.
Yes, she had been in such a rush to get to the scene.
Then, the sudden brake—the crash.
Sofia sat up abruptly but pulled at the wound on her head, the sharp pain making her knit her brows tightly, leaving her entire being consumed by the sensation of pain.
Reaching up to touch her head, she realized it was wrapped in bandages.
Charlie helped her sit properly. "Your head is injured. You need to rest."
Sofia looked at him. "Charlie, where is Ryan Gregory?"
Charlie frowned, hesitating to speak.
His expression only deepened her unease.
