The drive to the Chen family mansion took twenty-five minutes. Sarah sat quietly in the passenger seat, her hands folded tightly in her lap. She could feel her heart beating faster as they got closer to her house.
"Are you okay?" Silas asked, glancing at her with concern.
"I'm fine," Sarah said, but her voice was shaky. "Just nervous."
Silas parked the car near the front entrance. "Remember, I'll be right here waiting for you. If you need anything, just call or text me."
"Thank you," Sarah said, taking a deep breath. "I shouldn't be too long."
Sarah walked up to the massive front door and rang the doorbell. A servant she didn't recognize answered the door.
"Miss Sarah," the servant said with surprise. "Your father is waiting for you in his study."
Sarah nodded and walked towards his office.
"Finally," he said without looking up from his papers. "Do you have any idea how long I've been waiting?"
"What do you want?" Sarah asked, staying by the doorway.
"Sit down," he ordered.
